BUFF BADGERS 9/20-9/24

Meaner Legs....LOL! some of my sit and stands were more like sit...take a break and stand....LOL!

I have not tried any of the other CTX workouts yet. I need to find time to preview them first.

I will have to play around with my demand to see if I can find Jillian workouts.

Today was the cardio blast premix from Drill Max. I had so much fun doing it the other day I decided to go for it again. I also did push ups this morning. I am attempting the one hundred push ups as recommended by FabAbs on the forum. I am not good with pushups so she suggested this site and I am on week 3 in column 2. I am taking it one step at a time. Still doing modified push ups but hopefully one day I will be able to do a few on my toes.
 
Hi gang! Today will be Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. Definitely wearing the knee brace for that one!:D Yesterday I realized it was the 1st time I had ever done P90X Back and Bi's. It was not a part of the lean routine I did when following it. Anyway, it was tough! My biceps could literally not lift for one last rep! They were so tired and my back was tight! Good workout!

Not much going on this weekend. Kids need new dress pants and jeans! They need to quit growing so fast!:eek:

Morning Ladies,

Today I also worked out with Jillian, and did her No More Trouble Zones. I was sweating alot, and this is only a weight workout. :eek: But of course the exercises she does do get the hr up there.

Karen, LOL about the "Tonique. What more is there to say", are you trying to make me scared. :D I'm guessing that all the sporting events are making your evenings and weekends very busy with games. DD17 has a meet in Janesville tomorrow, that is just to far for us to travel. I really didn't like her schedule this year, we have not been able to get to any of her meets yet. :(

heartymax, I have heard of the 100 push-up challenge, that is a great way to go about it. Are you following any of Cathe's rotations?

Susan, Careful with that knee of yours! I didn't realize that Back & Bi's wasn't on the Lean schedule. I never tried that rotation, started off with the classic. I hear you on the growing thing with the kids, I have to take dd13 bra shopping! :rolleyes: Those can stop growing right now! :eek:

Today I did 4DS upper premix. The power went out so I didn't get anything more in.

Laurie, you will breeze through tonique, I have no doubt. The football game got cancelled ue to the fields being almost under water. To bad you have not made it to any meets. Sometimes you wonder who puts together the schedules. How are you putting your next rotation together, one week STS, one week P90X with cardio in between?

Susan, BFBM always sneeks up on you. Nice job on going to failure. Have fun shopping and don't spend to much.;)

My hubby and 3 boys will be gone to Oconto helping his dad with his house so it will just be the girls and myself. DD7 will have her first basketball game of the season tomorrow.

Well when I miss a few days, I really miss it!

Hope you all woke up this morning with electricity! Today was 4DS kickbox, and like most of you, I really like the whole boxing thing. I will be sad to see this rotation go :( Am trying to decide what to do for the next month:confused:

Karen, you have always been an awesome runner...didn't you do a 3 mile run in like 21 minutes??? I've been running between 2 and 3 miles. My kneww began to bother me, so I reduced it a bit, but hardly ever run more than 4 miles...unless it's my once a year 10K!

HeartyMax, Drill max is one of my very favorites. so is the 100 push up thing to do 100 pushups in a row without stopping??? Ouch!:eek:

Laurie, I haven't even been on FB lately, so busy, but will definately check it out tonight. It really is fun to find old friends, etc.

Susan, so a weekend of shopping? Hope your knee improves. When mine starts acting up I know I should do the exercises my PT gave me years ago. FYI if you need some I think the Mayo clinic site has lots of them...if not Runners World.

Today was Pyramid Lower Body (down only premix) followed by a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. Every time I do a lower body workout...I remind myself that i am so glad that I purchased that 20lb. weighted vest. I sure makes it easier to go heavier than trying to lift a heavy barbell.

Laurie----I am not following a rotation right now. I just finished one of Cathe's slow and heavy rotation that she posted several years ago. I can definitely tell that I got stronger. I used 50lbs for all 3 sets of squats on the PLB premix this morning with no problem at all. Over the years I have done upper body, cardio and some lower body....but the last couple of months I have been doing at least 1 lower body workout a week.....and sometimes two. I wanted to change things up a bit and wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do so opted for the pyramids alternating with my choice of cardio for a few weeks. I hope to determine my next rotation soon.

Lala1----I am not sure if I will ever be able to do 100 push ups without stopping, but I am definitely in better off than I was before I started 3 wks. ago.
