Buff Badgers 9/15-9/21

Hi! Am online with a class I´m taking and since the prof doesn´t know exactly what else I might be doing, I will multitask;)

Yesterday I did Super sets. That is a good workout to build me back up. Today after walking the dog, I skated for 40 minutes. It´s so beautiful out!

Susan: 22,000 steps. Holy Cow :eek: And my DD didn´t always want to skate with me, we had our times ;) How long of a walk is it to school?
Karen, sorry about DD and soccer. Hope she finds something else she likes to do.
Laurie, haven´t done cardio kicks in a while, but that´s a great idea. I´ll put it in when the weather gets colder! That plyo leg workout sounds tough AND interesting.

Sue, how long are the combos 1-3 in BM2? That sounded like a long workout. And glad your DD is so thrilled with her hair. That is so fun to see that "childlike" excitement in our adolescents! I totally LOVE Lost and can´t wait for it to come back, along with 24

Dani, yea, lots of people are coming down with sore throats.

Hi, Lala! Multi-tasking, eh? You're too funny. I sat next to this pregnant woman in a training class in Chicago and all she did the whole time was surf the internet trying to figure out where she was going to eat dinner! :confused: I'm not kidding either. (She really didn't need to be at the training class since she already had on the job experience and just needed the prerequisite to get to the class she really needed.)

BM2 Combos 1-3 is 34 min., the lower body weights are 11 min., PS-SLA floorwork and abs is I'm guessing 25-30 min. so 70-75 min. total (not counting all the time spent switching dvds and pausing to gasp for air ;)).

Now stop reading the Cathe Forums and pay attention in class! ;) :D :p
 
Good evening All,

Today was shoulders and arms, then ab ripper. I cannot bicycle backwards for all it is worth. I am feeling better, I swear by Theraflu.

Sue yes I love Lost, it is the only show I have committed to watch. We don't have cable, it is not in the budget. Plus then I am not entranced into watching something that I don't need to watch.

Hello gang! I keep forgetting to hit "submit reply" at the bottom of the page and then my post doesn't show up! :eek:

Anyway, today was a busy day, got all my walking in and the lawn mowed. Took 28,110 steps. Could have been more but I over slept so Ruby had a short walk this morning! Tomorrow I hope to get on the elliptical and then do S/H Bi's & Tri's. My DD seems to have gotten in the swing of Middle School and her attitude has really changed lately. Glad to have her back!:D

Karen, hope you liked Power Hour. I really like the music in that one!

Laurie, that Plyo workout sounds like a doozy! Glad it's you and not me! ;)

Sue, you should post a pic with DD's new do! I bet she looks pretty!

Lala, I have only done Supersets a couple times and it is not my favoriet workout. I don't know why. I think I need to do it more often....

Dani, I used Theraflu last year when I was sick and it worked great for me too! Glad you are better!

Today is Yoga X. Nice and easy day, which will be nice. I think I will start adding extra cardio next week. That way I get enough rest in to be back at 100%.

Susan great job on all the steps. That is amazing. You must walk everywhere.

Today after work I hope to get on the elliptical for a 30mn HIIT workout and then S/H Bi's/Tris and some ab work.

Morning BB's,

Today was StretchX, because the one on one workout really worked my legs and butt! OUCH! The spitting wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have seen and heard my DH make even worse noises! Like this morning while he was hacking up a lung! :rolleyes: Yes DH came home with a cold, and he better not be thinking of passing the dang thing onto me. :eek: :D

Sue, The whole DVD was an unedited workout. They where trying for the effect of just you and Tony working out together. It really isn't as bad as what I had read on VF! Maybe after 20 years of being married I'm just immune to that stuff! :D :D :D

Lala, LOL about taking the time to chat with us vs. your online class. My boss does that all the time! :D Oh you are right, we have been having just perfect weather for outdoor activities.

Dani, LOL about biking backwards. That one is hard for me too! Even after doing that workout so many times. :D I must not be that coordinated. ;)

Susan, I'm probably going to be the one mowing the lawn when I get home tonight. DH is really really sick! Will have to check on the Theraflu for DH. Thanks for the tip! ;) Oh I'm so glad that your DD is enjoying MS! :) Sorry to hear that you are under the weather to.

Slept in today. Hope to do something tonight but it'll be quick if I do. Helping with cleanup after the Ice Cream Social at school. And no, I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean eating all the leftover ice cream! :p
 
This am I did supersets. It is good for rehab! I´m kinda wondering when I can safely up my weights. Tonight I also mowed, and have more to do tomorrow!

Sue, sometimes sleeping in is the best thing! I´m hoping to get up early enough tomorrow for a run. Too bad that clean up isn´t eating the leftovers, otherwise I´d join you ;)

Susan, Glad thing are working out for DD. Sometimes it just takes time.

Laurie, Don´t get your DHs cold! I can´t believe how many people have colds...including me:( I may have to check out that Thera flu, too

HAPPY FRIDAY!!:D

Tonight is a big football night here in town. Our HS plays their rivals in what is called the China Bull. For the past 20+ years they have this game and whoever wins takes home this big bull trophy to their school. We have won the past 2 years and are hoping for a 3rd! So we'll be at the game cheering the boys on. Last year, this was the only game they won all season! LOL!;) Saturday DS has a flag football game and then there are errands to run. Sunday is church/Sunday school and then my niece and nephews Birthday party.

I won't be able to workout today but tomorrow will be a long walk followed by CTX Kickbox cardio and then S/H Bi's and Tri's. I was supposed to Bi's and Tri's last night, but then I remembered I never did Back the other night so I did back in stead after the elliptical. Sunday will be pilates for a good hour.

Susan - I hope your team wins the China Bull tonight! Should be a beautiful night for football. Everyone keeps coming in the building telling me how nice it is outside. I don't want to hear about it until 4:00. :p I have lots to do yet this afternoon before I leave.

Slept in again but planning to workout tonight. No, change that to I WILL WORKOUT TONIGHT!! Need to do cardio but don't know what I'll be in the mood for yet. Tomorrow is Musclemax before or after DS' football game. Sunday will be either cardio or maybe YogaX - haven't done that one in awhile.

Good morning,

Yesterday was Legs and Back and I can feel it today. Funny, I tried to go really deep in my lunges. Today is Kenpo. I feel like on can take on anyone after that. Yesterday still felt a bit yucky but hopefully with the weekend I will be 100% again. I went to town on our laundry. I have a question for those who have p90x, did you guys but the supplements? We have the recovery drink since it came free with the pull-up bar. I looked at the nutritional label and it has 36g sugar in it for one serving. To me that is alot. Just curious on all of your thoughts. I will probably post this question in the open discussion forum too.

Susan-Woo Hoo, Big congratulations on the win. Also great job on all your steps. Do you walk everywhere? I am amazed. :cool:

Lala -Good luck with the online classes. I hope you do well. I have never taken one, I would be interested in what you think. I can't wait until Feb. when Lost starts up again.

Karen-Did I get you sick? :( I hope you are feeling well. Get better soon.

Laurie-You will have to let me know how the one on one with Tony goes. I looked into it and it is neat that you get one disc every month. He looks pretty intense in his workouts so I guess I can see the spitting. So you just throw that disc into your workouts for that month(does this question make sense).

Sue-Good job getting those workouts in. And what no getting to eat any icecream when you clean up, bummer. Have fun doing whatever you decide to do for the weekend.

It's a beautiful morning here and Ruby and I went for a nice 50mn walk. In a little bit I have to take DS to his flag football game and then run errands. This afternoon will be my workout. Dani, yes, I do walk practically everywhere! LOL! We live in a small town and everything is pretty close by plus I am on my feet all day at work. I have only filled my gas tank up 1 time in 3 weeks! :D

OH! We left the game with 1mn 30sec. to go to beat the traffic last night. Well apparently they scored again after we left so the official score was 27-6! They were honking and screaming and cheering driving by our house.

Enjoy this wonderful day!
