Today I managed to get Muscle Endurance in. I had forgotten that they have the time wrong for this one. It is more than a 60 min workout. :( Oh well I managed to get to work on time anyway, no thanks to the other people driving today! :D After work I'm going to run 2m with Cami, but I need to go to a funeral right after work. I'm just going to stop by briefly for the visitation. :(

DD15 had a great race on Saturday, even though she was running in the rain and mud. It sure was humid though. Her placement was 13th, and her time was 16:35, so she was able to take 25 seconds off her previous time. She put so much into it that she was crying tears of joy when she found out. She is pretty sure that time is a personal best for her. :D

Have to get going to a meeting, will BBL!

Laurie - Glad you made it to work on time despite the other drivers. They can't blame the sun being in their eyes this morning either. I hope we get to see the sun again soon. I've had it with all this wet, cold weather. High 5s to DD15 on a new personal best!! That is so cute that she got so choked up about it.

DS won his football game on Saturday 13-7. Unfortunately, he was playing outside linebacker and missed a tackle allowing them to score their one and only touchdown. He felt bad about that and didn't get to play very much in order to redeem himself. He's tickled pink about being 2 & 0 though.

Well I wanted to do some extra long, kickbutt workouts over the weekend but my busy schedule and my body didn't agree. I did Power Circuit cardio Saturday morning before football and honestly, I couldn't have done any more. The last 3 circuits were tough but I finished. DH and I wanted to go for a walk Saturday night but it started pouring about 1/3 mile from our house so we turned around. We were drenched by the time we got back to our house. On Sunday I did CTX Upper Body and All Step abs. Had to go slightly lighter on some exercises because the muscles just couldn't lift my normal weight . DOMS in my chest, triceps and biceps today. This morning I had to be at work 45 min. early so no workout yet. I want to do some lower body floorwork and cardio tonight if I can fit it in. Have to drive DS and his friend to football practice so will have to work around that.

Have a great Monday!

Good Afternoon,

Today I did a 2 mile run and Muscle Endurance. Sound familar. I got the idea from Laurie.

Sue, did you read the last post over the weekend regarding restaurants and my reply to your post on the weekend? Glad DS won the game. What a great start. You got some good workouts in over the weekend between all your running around. Are you walking back and forth to make those copies?

Laurie, What the drivers this morning were not cooperating with you? Have fun with your run tonight. ME is a hard workout. Do you use the same weight as Cathe? How far was DD race on Sat. Congrats to DD for getting a PR. It is so neat when the kids get excited about what they are doing.

Hi to Susan, Dani and lala.

Hello Girls,

Today was Core Syn. with good ole' Tony, gorgeous gorgeous!:D Worked up a nice sweat. Had a great weekend. Packers won, woo hoo.

Laurie big congrats to your DD. Sounds like her hard work is paying off. :)

Sue- Sounds like your son's team is doing well and we all make mistakes. No biggie. He always has more time in the season to "redeem" himself. Good job on getting some workouts in this weekend, it is better then none. And excellent job listening to your body and knowing your limits.

Hello Karen, LaLa, and Susan. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and hopefully some warmer weather soon. ;)

Hello there ladies!

My weekend was busy and flew by too fast! Saturday took Ruby for a 45mn walk and did some pilates later. Sunday was KPC, S/H Triceps and some ab work.

Woke early enough to go for a nice long walk this morning and will be doing S/H Legs & Shoulders in just a bit! I bought a pedometer this weekend cause I am doing so much more walking. They say you should shoot for 10,000 steps a day. It takes roughly 2,000 steps to equal a mile. So far today I am at 17,868 steps! My DH thinks pedometers are silly but I find them to be motivating!

Laurie, good job with M.E and enjoy your run with Cami! Also congrats to your DD on her run! Good for her!!:D

Sue, sorry to hear your feeling sore today! As for getting those workouts in, do the best you can but don't beat yourself up if life gets in the way! Maybe try to aim for workouts that are under an hour?

Hi Karen! Sounds like you and Laurie had good workouts today! My favorite exercise in M.E is the 1 legged "glute raises". I really feel those in the rear! I also like the set up how of she works legs in throughout the workout instead of all in one section....

Hi Dani! How's P90 goin'?

Hi Lala!! Como esta? :) Estoy muy bien!

Bye for now! Susan

Karen - I had to go back and re-read but I did see your post last night but forgot today to respond to it. I *think* I've been to Chipotle. Definitely not around here but I'm pretty sure we all went out as a big group when I was at class in Dallas. If it's the place I'm thinking of, it was very good and very, very busy.

Susan - I don't even look at workouts that last more than 60 min. any more! LOL Just not enough time or energy. Looking forward to having both again instead of one or the other (time or energy that is).

Dani - You and Laurie crack me up the way you drool over Tony. Well, maybe drool isn't the right word but you know what I mean! :) Gilad is more my type. He has both the looks and the accent. I'm a sucker for a great accent. :)

Greetings! I had a GREAT weekend! DD20, a friend of hers and I did the inline 1/2 marathon in Duluth. DD is really competetive...I had no idea. I was bound and determined to keep up with her and at the very end there´s a big hill, which I really made time and as I was passing people, with one guy ahead of me with about 50 yds. left to go I hear this "ON YOUR LEFT", only to turn and see DD go screaming by!! We both finished with a time of 57:46. Not too bad, I guess. I know I couldn´t keep that pace up for a full marathon. Fun day!

Today I did a 30 min run and am ready to fall into bed!

Sue, so you like Gilad! Haven´t seen him in a while, but I don´t watch much TV anymore, now that I have Cathe´s DVDs!

Susan, Estoy muy bien, gracias! How are the kids at lunch . Hope you are keeping them in line! 17,000+ steps...that is alot!

Karen, That sounds like a great workout. I´ll have to try it sometime! I really enjoy my running, but think I will keep it to about once a week.

Laurie, Sounds like DD is doing great with CC. When is her homecoming dance?

Dani, Is DH getting used to the mattress yet?

If I´m not back til next week, have a great one. I´m sure I won´t be here tomorrow. It´s a LOONG day!

Susan! I should slow down when I read because I missed the fact you had 17,000+ steps in today. I'm jealous! ;-) And talk about coincidence. I just blogged about being a "cubesicle" today and not getting many steps in a day.

Well, my "official" end of the day steps were 22,168! ;) I think I would go stir crazy if I had to sit in a cubicle! Soory that you were confined to yours today!:(

;);)Good Morning,

Susan, wow, that is a lot of steps. You should burn some extra calories that way. How is your eating going? What was the website you posted a few weeks ago?

Lala, great job on the inline 1/2 marathon. What a great time. It sounds like you guys had a blast. It's neat you and DD finished at the same time. I'll bet you could do a marathon.

Laurie, thanks for the workout idea yesterday. What are you doing today. I haven't decided.

Sue, have you and DH been getting in any more walks. Hope you get some time and energy at the same time--someday.

Dani, well, the weather is getting warmer, at least here. Glad you are enjoying looking at Tony, but how are the workouts coming? ;)

Today DS12 has his 2nd cross country meet. I guess it is 4 miles. My DB and SIL bought him new running shoes when they were here. DD14 quit soccer because of the coach. It's to bad the kids work from age 4 on up to get to H.S. sports and then they get a bad coach that makes them not like the game they used to love. :( DD5 is having a hard time anytime I go anywhere. When she gets home from school, she doesn't want me to leave her side. She cries if she can't go with me somewhere. I guess she is used to being with me. DS10 lost his first flag football game last night 20-6.:( I realized there are more sad faces in my post than happy so here:):):):):):):):):).

Enjoy your day all.

Morning BB's,

What a great cold sunny morning! :D I woke up this morning and thought I overslept, because the moon was so bright. But of course the sun doesn't rise in the West!

My workout for today was......... Cardio Kicks! So is that one you feel like trying out for today Karen! :D All of you where busy chatters yesterday! Don't know if I can keep up! :)

Karen, Oh dang on your DS having to quit soccer. :( To bad they don't have parents/students fill out questionaires so that flaws in coaching can be detected. ;) Hope the new shoes help your DS12 with his ankles. Yep I used the same weights as Cathe, except for the one arm rows, I just picked up a 15 for those. I just don't like the way the two weights feel in my hand.

Susan, Dang on all those steps you took yesterday! Love that excersise in ME too! Of course you don't need any weights, but you still feel it. Am I mixing my workouts up or is there no inner thigh work in ME?

Sue, I will join you in the world of the cubesicle, love that word. :D That Power Circuit workout is only a 1/2 hour, but it is a good one. I'm not surprised you where working hard! Congrats to your DS on his second win! Those CTX workouts are endurance, and she works you hard. I'm usually toasty when finished with those. I know on some of the exercise she uses higher weights than I want to use. :D You did all the upper body, and those are designed to be done one or two body part per day! ;)

Lala, Congrats to you and your DD on the 1/2 marathon. They didn't have your running up any of those huge hills in Duluth did they? Homecoming is the first weekend in Oct. I think! :D See how interested in football I am. Their team is not that great this year! And to think that only two or three years ago they won state!

Dani, LOL about Tony! I'm going to be trying out his new One on One Plyo Legs tomorrow! Will see how much I'm liking him after this one. Apparently he spits in this! The workouts are suppose to be Tony uncut! Or some such! :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Lala - Oh, yeah, I looooooooooove Gilad! LOL :D Too bad his workouts are intermediate rather than advanced or I would buy more of his stuff. Gilad and I go way back to my college days when my roommates and I used to do his workout when he was on ESPN.

Karen - Don't get me started on bad coaches! Of course we had 3 bad coaches with baseball (all bad in different ways) but lately I've heard of 2 cases where coaches only play their 1st string players regardless of how much they're winning and I think that's just plain wrong. The West baseball coach does this - 12 players on the team but only 9 play and one of the football dads was complaining about his son's team being ahead 36-6 and not putting other players in. :( Hope DD5 stops being so clingy. My kids never went through that stage except when they were really young (about 2). Once more things start happening in school maybe things will change.

Susan - 22,000 steps is just crazy! You've given me a new goal although I think I might have to quit my job so I can escape my cubicle and walk around more. ;)

Dani - I saw a man on a bicycle on Hwy 164 & I-94 around 7 a.m. as I was driving by and wondered if it was your DH.

Laurie - I'm trying to become a DeCathlete so I'm posting as much as I can! :p Just kidding. I don't think I'll hit 10,000 posts until I retire.

Well, I finally found time AND energy last night since another mom drove DS to football practice. I did combos 1-3 in BM2, the leg exercises in circuits 1-4, PS-SLA floorwork and abs. This morning I did a 3 mile walk (by myself - DH was still sleeping). DD is getting a haircut and highlights (I don't even highlight my own hair!) tonight so I don't know if I'll have time to do anything. My triceps were so sore last night, it hurt to lie on my elbow and do inner/outer thigh work!

Hi again, I ended up doing CC7(of course) on the spin bike.

Laurie, I did the same thing on the one arm rows except I picked up 20 lbs. Funny, I was contemplating some sort of Kickbox for today.

Sue, yes, you have had your share of bad coaches. Sounds like you mishmoshed quite the workout together this morning.

Still no job. :(

Have a nice day.

Hello Gals,

Today was Cardio X. I went to bed feeling yuck and woke up the same. I think everyone is getting some kind of bug around here. DH and I pushed ourselves to workout. I actually feel better now, but I am sure I will sleep well tonight. I am enjoying p90x so far. I can see me doing the whole 90 days no problem. I am a bit worried I might be not in as good shape for my Cardio videos with Cathe. I think on yoga days or arms I might try to sneak in some extra cardio. I really thought this would be super hard and it is hard but not horrible at all. And I don't actually find Tony hot, but his humor cracks me and DH up. He is such a dork. Gilad is not my style either Sue, sorry. I am more a Josh Holloway kinda girl.

LaLa it sounds like you had a blast with your DD. I hope my DD is like that someday. Also DH is starting like the mattress, it seems not so hard anymore. I think your body just needs to get use to it.

Susan I can't believe how many steps you have done. WOW

Karen sorry to hear about the bad coach. That stinks. And I agree, it does stink that the sports that they love to do from when they are little are ruined by on stinking' coach. Grrrr Good luck on the job hunt. It is a tough market right now.

Sue no that wasn't my DH. He works at PM. That is funny. I was reading your blogs yesterday and the cubesicle cracked me up. I can relate, I sit alot at my job too. Sometimes I have to get up and walk around just for a change of pace.

Laurie you will have to let me know how the Tony video is. He spits, gross. I hope it is from talking and spitting by accident, not just spitting. How funny and gross at the same time. I just hope I will keep up with STS after this. We will see.

Ladies have a great day!! ;)

Hello there! Sorry I am late! Busy day today! Woke up and went for a walk, after work I squeezed in S/H chest and in a little bit I'll be doing some ab work. My DS8 started Tae Kwon Do tonight. He loves it and is anxious to be a black belt! ;)

My legs and shoulders are sore today after S/H yesterday! My kids are having fun guessing how many steps I take each day! Today was another 22,000. I am thinking tomorrow will be a big day because I am walking in the morning, walking the kids to school and back for "National Walk to School Day", then walking to work and back... I am tired just thinking about it! I think I am mowing the lawn tomorrow too.

Dani, I hope you aren't feeling so yucky anymore! :(

Lala, I hope my DD and I can do stuff like that when she's older! Sometimes I think these pre-teen years are gonna kill me!;)

Karen, that stinks that your DS felt he needed to quit due to the bad coach. As for not finding a job yet, it's hard right now. Are you looking for part-time work?

Sue, that was nice of your Mom to take your son! Sounds like you got a good workout in! MY DD wants me to dye her hair a darker brown... I don't think so!

Laurie, I like Cardio Kicks! I like the drills at the end especially! You sure have been getting great workouts in!

See you all tomorrow! Susan

Good Morning,

Today I am doing Power Hour. I will try to get some cardio in too if I get busy before the kids get home-early release.

Susan, glad DS likes Dojo. I am sure he will move up quickly. It's neat everyone is having so much fun with your step count. With all your walking today, you'll probably double yesterdays. I am looking for part time during school hours and no weekends. No prob.

Dani, hope you are feeling better. Good idea adding some cardio in to the P90x workouts. I think Laurie did that when she did P90X the second or third time around.

Hi to Laurie, Sue, and Lala

Morning BB's,

I have done my 2 mile run and half of One on One Plyo Legs with Tony. So far I like the Plyo Leg workout. It is 60 min. and 20 exercises. He has upped the intensity from P90X. Wall squats are done for a total of 3 min. He uses a 4lb ball for the Mary Katherine lunges (which you do a total of 40!) The Groucho walk he has you touch the floor, and then raise one leg high, so it is more effective. Frog leaps he uses a 6lb ball that is on the floor, and when you leap you bring it up to your chest. Tony made me laugh at one point so I was happy. :) So far I have not seen him spit, but he does yak inbetween each exercise. The music is off the boom box in the room, which doesn't bother me at all. I usually can't tell you what the music was on a workout! Will be trying out the rest of the workout after work.

Karen, You already have an early release! Sorry to hear that the job hunt is not going well. :( Enjoy Power Hour and cardio of choice. ;)

Sue, Is that what a DeCathlete is? You have to get 10,000 post! No way am I getting to that point. :) Sounds like a great mish-mosh you put together for a workout. :) I don't highlight my hair either, but I take DD15 in to get hers done. She has been wondering when her next appointment will be.

Dani, My DD11 and DH both have a cold, and apparently it is going around. Hope you start feeling better soon. :) Karen is right I did put in extra cardio in my 2nd and 3rd round of the X. PlyoX will give you great stamina though. :D Apparently Tony spits because he is working so hard, and is recovering from a cold. Hope it isn't to gross!

Susan, LOL about your DS wanting his black belt! ;) Makes me think of my DD15, she has that type of personality that always wants to do her best. :) I didn't know it was national walk to school day. But I don't think that we could do that, seeing that we are over 5 miles from the school. :D So who is the closest at guessing your steps?

Have a great day!

Laurie

Susan - I did 10,500 steps yesterday and that's only because I did a 3 mile walk yesterday morning! You are amazing. How cool that DS8 is starting Tae Kwan Do. You'll have to let me know what classes are like. Now if I could only get back to my own Dojo. . .

Karen - Have you let all your friends and family know you're looking for a job so they can keep their eyes and ears open? Sometimes that's the best way.

Laurie - Plyo Legs sounds tough! Thanks for the mini review. I hate it when guys spit so I'm sure I'll be grossed out. Why on earth didn't they edit that out?

Dani - Are you a Lost fan? I agree - Josh Hollaway IS hot!

DD had her highlights done last night and they turned out pretty cool. She went for 2 shades lighter with a touch of red. She was so excited last night she had trouble going to sleep. I did Kelly Coffey Meyer's New You Coming this morning. Triceps still a tad sore so I didn't do all the reps. I probably could have if I had lightened up the weights but I did squats instead to fill the time.

Have a wonderful, SUNNY day!
