BUFF BADGERS 9/14-9/18

Hey Susan, hope DD gets help from someone and can pick it up. STS workouts are anywhere from 47 to 62 depending. Today back and bi was 47, chest/tri/shoulders was 62 and leg workout this week was 57 or so. I hope the lady that lost her family wins also. How hard. I know you asked Laurie but I had a min. so I thought I'd answer you.:)
 
Sounds like everyone is busy! Today I got in a 2.5 mi run. guess my knee is better :) I´ll let you know tomorrow. I iced it!!

Karen, the RICE is rest, ice, compression, elevation...but rice in sock in the microwave sounds like it could work, too!

Laurie, I agree with Karen that to lift what you should according to 1RM you will need a spotter or a tower for meso 3. but also like Karen, I don´t care that much and lift what I can. It was frustrating those first times though, when I couldn´t get that bar up!

Sue,glad DD is feeling better. I already have a lot of sick students :(

Susan, Sounds like you are on the right track with DD. Hope she can get the help she needs. Sounds like BL is good...I may just start watching it, too!
 
Hi Gang! Well, StepWorks was a lot of fun last night! I thinbk my next rotation will be more of a cardio/fat burning one and I am going to add in all the "oldies" I have! Just to mix it up a bit. Today I am doing JIllians NMTZ again and probably the elliptical.

I talked to DD about her Algebra. She does not want to leave the class so she wants to try really hard to "get it". I was amazed that DH sat down and very calmly explained to her what she was doing wrong. After about 15mns, she understood so much better and got the work done! :D She is going to go to Homework Club after school today to get additional help too.(Just in case). She confided in me that she likes a boy, but does not want to tell me his name, yet! She has been getting all dolled up for school and I was wondering why! LOL!:eek:

Hello,

I plan on running today but it is to cold right now. Says it is suppose to be 65 or so by 12:00 so I think I'll hold off until then. Didn't get in a run yesterday. No motivation for anything.

DB and SIL are coming up for a bike race DH and DB will be in on Sat. They will come up tomorrow morning. I am having a birthday party for DD6 soon to be 7 on Sat. while her cousin is here. Pool party!!

Have another cross country meet tonight. I have to pick up DD17 DS15 and DD6 and drop off at work, soccer and take to the meet with me 1/2 hour away. I need to make it there by 4:30. Wish me luck.

Susan, I guess you had to know something was up when DD was getting all dolled up for school. Glad you enjoyed Stepworks. Sounds like a good rotation you are planning. Are you seeing any results from your S/H? Glad DD is sticking with her math and DH is able to help.:) How do you copy and paste on facebook. I was going to copy the paragraph but I don't know how.:(

Lala, nice job getting in a run. Glad your knee is feeling better. I remember RICE now. Foggy brain. I was just thinking back when I used a rice sock for swelling along with ice.

Morning Ladies,

I was tired this morning but got my butt out of bed and finished all of KPC! :D I was going to skip the Ab work, because I had done Ab Circuit no equipment last night. I was able to get into those pikes though! :eek: I wasn't able to finish the last one. :( Oh well, next time. :)

Karen, Thanks for the info, it just confirms all the other advice I have gotten. So I either don't lift as much as the sheets tell me or invest in some type of tower. ;) I really don't need to lift that much for my chest either. :eek: DD has been bringing her Geometry home, and if she has a problem DH has been helping her. DD12 didn't race yesterday, but will next week.

Sue, I really enjoy eating chocolate yogurt every once in a while. :) But Yoplait makes the best I think. ;) I watch a portion of BL last night, and got to hear Jillian swear! :rolleyes: I really don't think she needs to call someone a bitch! It just sounded forced, because I don't remember her doing that in the past. :( Congrats on cutting down on the soda.

Susan, The health fair was pretty cool, I would have been interested in some health food store coming. But we have a company that services our cafeteria, and they probably wouldn't have liked that. I'm glad Karen answered your question, because I don't remember how long some of these workouts are. If I remember right they have a pdf file in the workout manager that tells you exactly how long each of them are. :)

Lala, I'm hoping that your knee is on its way to being healed. :) Thanks for the infor too, I'm sure when I try to lift that heavy I will be in the same boat. Right now with the endurance phase I'm doing just fine. :D

Susan - Yeah! that DH was able to explain Algebra to DD so she understands. Homework Club sounds like a great idea. DD used to do that in Elementary school before she had to worry about catching a bus and it really helped get her work done and organize her better.

Karen - Enjoy watching CC races. Good luck getting to all your places on time tonight! Jillian swore way too much on BL. I didn't know if that was normal or not since this is the first time I ever sat down and watched an entire episode.

Lala - Glad the knee is feeling better and hope it's still feeling okay today after your run.

Laurie - I agree with you on Jillian calling someone the B word. I'm surprised they don't bleep it out.

Did BFBM last night. I guess all the talk about it yesterday is what inspired me. Was just going to do 4 circuits but had the time and energy to do "one more" so kept going until I completed all 7. Sweated up a storm. Slept in this morning. Will do PUB either tonight or tomorrow.

Good Morning,

Yesterday I ended up bringing a permission slip to DD17 running. It ended up to be 8 1/2 miles. By the end I thought my knee was going to give. Won't be doing that again any time soon.

Don't know what to do today. Another leg workout. A circuit. Total body weights. Kettlebells. Any ideas. I need to get going as my bro and SIL are coming soon.

Susan, thanks, I'll try to copy it. Never have much luck. Wonderful weather for as many walks as you can get in.

sue, good job on getting all of Jillian's workout done. Cross country was fun. Boys finished 6th and 8th overall and 2nd and 3rd in their school. Have fun with PUB. Are you following some type of rotation?

Laurie, Way to get out of bed even though you were tired. KPC is a fun workout. How do you think DD12 will do running for the first time?

Morning All,

Well Disc 3 Legs is all done, and I must say that Cathe really puts out great leg workouts. :D This was fun with the plates, and wall squat variations. I used paper plates and it worked just great, and I think not having to lift a barbell at all was nice. ;) Didn't feel rushed at all either.

Sue, Great job on getting all the way through BFBM. I am using BFBM, PlyoX and One on One Legs when Cathe puts an Imax in a rotation. :D

Susan, I think Amazon has it the cheapest if you want to go that route. :D Not that I'm trying to tempt you to order, but it is a good no equipment cardio workout, that works your abs really well. I don't think you would regret the purchase.

Karen, I almost didn't get out of bed on time this morning, just forgot to set the alarm. Good thing DH was kind enough to walk the dog, and get the girls going this morning. :D Hope that knee doesn't give you any problems, that is a long way to run. Suppose it wasn't all trail running either. :( DD12 probably will be in the middle of the pack when she gets in the race. She doesn't have that "I want to win" attitude that DD16 has. :rolleyes: I vote for Circuit! ;)

I don't know if I will be heading to Racine to watch DD run tomorrow, but my workout will be InteralX+ and Ab Circuit Weights/Plates. Sunday will be nothing, StetchX or Yoga. I will decide after church/packer game/race. :D

Hi there!

Today is an "off" day except for walking. We have our Homecoming tonight. Both kids are in the parade and then we have the Football game after that. The High School was fun today with all the kids excited! Hopefully we'll win! We are 2-1 right now.

For tomorrow, I haven't decided yet. And Sunday will be Pilates on the Ball.

Laurie, I will check out Amazon but I am one of those that doesn't want to wait so I might go buy it tomorrow so I can do it tomorrow! :D
