BUFF BADGERS 8/18 - 8/22

Susan nice family. I love the pictures of your kids, dog and DH. The animals in the zoo are georgeous.

Laurie, you are not on a soap box, I feel the same way. Hope you get your workout in. I am in the same boat as you my calendar is filling up fast with soccer, basketball and football besides driving DD to work. She is getting contacts for her birthday. DS practices 4 hours a day. I think that is a bit overkill. 2 hours in the morn. and 2 hours at night.

Enough rambling.

I will try to get some pictures up of my family and things. It's fun to see a bit of other peoples lives.

:D

Karen - I didn't play sports in school so forgive my ignorance but aren't 14 year olds normally on JV and Juniors and Seniors on Varsity with an occasional few Sophmores? Laurie has a good point about playing more. Hope you get your workouts in today and DS feels better soon.

Susan - Love your pictures!

Laurie - I know what you mean about the running around. We have something going Mon-Thurs for this week and next and stuff on Saturday and Sunday, too! I just better get my workouts in or I'll be 1 crabby BB.

Hi, Lala!

Did most of Step Fit this morning. Had to skip the cooldown and go right to the stretch because of time constraints.

Step Fit - now there's an oldie but a goodie! ;) When I did Power Max last week I had to focus or I'd forget stuff and trip up! Other step workouts I can do with my eyes closed!

Have to go pay school fees now!

Bye- Susan

Hello

I just wanted to take the time to say Hi. It is nice seeing people from Wisconsin. I am new this forum and I am amazed by all the people. Hope everyone has a good weekend and some great workouts.:D

Hello dani1351, glad you have checked in. Hope to see you each day and learn more about you and what you like. Take care and enjoy the day.

Susan, I haven't tried the old ones forever. I think I may have done each of thoses oldies maybe once since I've had them.

I found a new smilie, cant you tell?

Hi, Dani! Cute avatar. :) Where do you live in Wisconsin? I'm in Waukesha and the others are in different places around the state. I'll let them tell you. I've been a member here FOREVER (or so it seems). Welcome!

Welcome Dani! Glad you found us! How long have you been using Cathe workouts?

I live just outside of Oshkosh in a small town called Winneconne. It's pronounced Win-E-Con-E! :p

I too feel like I have been here forever, but that's okay! I'll stay around as long as they'll let me! ;)

Susan

Thanks Everyone

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Here is a little about myself. I live in West Allis and work at West Allis Memorial Hospital. I have 2 beautiful children(of course I am bias), ages 2 and 4. I have only been doing Cathe workouts for the last year. I just happened to stumble upon her on fit TV or something. I love and sometimes hate her workouts. Depends on how tired I am. Today I did Cardio Fusion, which I love.
I ordered the STS dvd's and I cannot wait until they come. Maybe I can, not looking forward to all those pushups. I was in the military for 11 years and pushups are just a reminder of that. I look forward to hearing everyone else's workout schedules. Have a good night.
Dani

Good evening everyone, and welcome Dani! I´m fairly new to this group, too. I live in Marshfield, but am from Cleveland originally (can you tell where my baseball sentiments lie?...although I would love to see the Brewers play in October :))

Today was a rest day, some basement cleaning. This weekend we are going camping in MN and visit DD20 in LaCrosse.

Laurie, it´s rough form me to get a workout in if I don´t do it first thing in the am. Hope you found the time!

Karen sorry about DD12, that is something my DH has to take care of, as I tend to join in when I have to deal with throwing up :(. And I agree with the others about DS14. Let him play a lot this year and develop his skills. My kids were all in sports I knew very little about (except swimming), which I think was a blessing for them ;)

Susan, thanks for sharing the pics! Lovely family! I´ll have to take some time to figure that out!

Sue, Step Fit is one of the few vids I don´t have.

Some jogging tomorrow, and off to work at school :(:(.

I guess since you are all telling where you live I will spill also. I am in Rice Lake 1 hour north of Eau Claire. I have 6 children, my oldest is DD17, DD16,DS14,DS12,DS10,DD5. My DD5 is starting school this year.

lala, Glad your basement is all tidied up. It sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. I see you are back to some impact in your workouts. That must feel good since you were being such a grump:)

Dani I'll bet you are busy with your wonderful kidos. I used to work in West Allis off of Hwy 100 many years ago. Did you go to the fair this year? We will all have fun doing STS together.

ONe picture came up in my picture file but I couldn't upload the rest of them. I just can't seem to figure it out. Needless to say there is only one picture up and it wasn't even suppose to be there. I'll attempt to fix it all tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

Hi all you Buff ladies!:D

Today is a 30mn walk,30mn elliptical and 30-45mn pilates. My weekend ahead is quiet! Yippee!!

Karen, the size of pictures you are trying to upload is probably too big. If you put your picture on "paint" then at the top click on "image" then "stretch and skew". In the 2 "stretch" boxes (horizontal/vertical) put the number 40 or 50. This will decrease the size of your image and make it easier to load. I had to do this with all the pictures I tried to upload. Hope that helps! Oh, how is your DS feeling?

Lala, glad one of us got our basement cleaned! My DH needs to build another shelving unit for me cause I just have too much stuff! LOL! We also have way too many toys that I want to either give to the Children's Hospital or there is a Women's abuse home that I think can use them as well...

HI Dani!

Hi Laurie! It's Friday! Your week at work is almost done!

Hi Sue!

Have a great day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Well I never did get that workout in yesterday, because my oldest said she "needed" some sports bras. So as long as we where going out we stopped at the library, Target (and got more than sports bras! :p) and Athletic Foot (new spikes). Well the shoe store didn't have any spikes that she liked, so that was a bust! But Target was like bra upon bra! Because you know we needed regular bras too! :D:D

This morning was a 1m Run with Cami and 4DS Legs & Core. This one is a bit longer than a 1/2hr, plus the fact that I was having problems with my ankle weights and bar bell this morning. Had to pause the DVD a couple times. Oh well at least I got the dang thing done. Maybe just maybe I can get in CTX KB and 4DS Chest & Back tonight.

Karen, Wow that is a lot of time spent on practice. I think some of the other sports around here do the same thing. Maybe that is why we where never that good in HS , didn't practice that much!

Sue, You are right that is usually Fresh, and they usually are on JV! Wonder how those upperclassmen are going to treat him. Workouts are most important, I too wouldn't want to see or be a crabby BB. :D

Susan, I have all the school fees, and picture taking next week. Will check out your pics when I finish this post.

Dani, Hello! Welcome to the group, and hope we can help you in any way. I have 2 DD's 15 & 11. I live in Vernon/Waukesha, but I work very close to you! I also have been on with these ladies it seems forever, of course they are a great group! :D Oh yes got to love those push ups after the military! :(

Lala, As you can see it was a no workout day for me. It's hard when your DD's plan out your evening for you. :D I had an Aunt & Uncle that lived in Marshfield. I used to live in Medford, and visit them almost every weekend.

Have a great day and weekend everyone!

Laurie

Good morning and TGIF! :D

I did MIS lower, abs + 100 walking lunges this morning. Hoping to get some cardio in tonight. DS has a football scrimmage in Watertown tomorrow and we have a church picnic on Sunday. Wish I had a quiet weekend like Susan. ;) I'm sure I'll have fun at these events - it's just that I need a vacation. Luckily, I'm off next Friday. DH and I have to decide what to do. It'll be our last opportunity before school starts to do something fun.

Susan - Are the shelves for workout dvds or something else? Sorry if I'm busy nosy. I was just looking at all my dvds the other day and thinking to myself I need to rearrange so that's what made me think of it.

Karen - Did your DS ever get the job at Culver's like his older sister? If he does, I hope they work the same shifts to make it easier on you to transport them. Any bike rides planned for the weekend?

Dani - I have 2 kids - a girl 13 and a boy 11. A friend at work recommended Cathe to me back in 2000 so I've been doing her workouts a long time. I'm 44 and work full-time as a Systems Administrator in an IT dept. I'm a little afraid of the pushups in STS, too! I've done P90X (although Laurie is the P90X Queen amongst us) and it reminds me of that. At least with GS, once you've made it through the drop set of pushups, THEY'RE DONE and you don't have to worry about them until next time.

Laurie - I sent this out to my co-workers as my weekly Friday Joke. I hope it makes you smile.
Mujibar was trying to get a job in India. The Personnel Manager said,
"Mujibar, you have passed all the tests, except one. Unless you pass it, you cannot qualify for this job.
Mujibar said, "I am ready".

The manager said, "Make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink and Green".
Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, "Mister Manager, I am ready. The manager said, "go ahead".

Mujibar said, "The telephone goes green, green, green, and I pink it up and say, Yellow, this is Mujibar".
Mujibar now works at a call center. No doubt you have spoken to him. I know I have.

Good Morning,

Today I did Cardio Fusion. I must be unconditioned in that area again. That was tough for me to get through.

Tomorrow DS14 has soccer games from 9-2 so hopefully we will get a ride in later in the day. DH also has to go bait for bear. He got a permit to hunt one this year. Maybe on Sun. we will ride after church. Since we only rode once in two weeks, I suggested we not do the 50 mile race on the 31st. I hope we don't have to do it. It just may work in my favor that bear hunting starts the next day.

Susan You sure are getting a lot of workouts in. Glad your weekend is quiet. Thank you for the info on the pictures, I will try it out when I get a chance.

Laurie, sounds like you had a busy time shopping. Hope you get the rest of your missed workout in today. There are actually 2 freshmen that made the Varsity team and 2 sophmores. One Jr. left on the JV. A couple shouldn't be on varsity.

Sue, have fun with your busy weekend. DS didn't call Culver's yet. It seems that they hire after people call to follow up on their applications.

DD got contacts this morning. She is paying for them. Tonight I have a potluck for soccer at 6.

Hi to all you other Buff Badgers.:)

Wow Susan! You really got a workout in!
I did a 45 minute jog, yes it feels good to be able to do more than just walk. BTW, don´t get me wrong, the basement is by no means clean, nor tidy, just less junk

Sue, sounds like a busy weekend, and loved your joke LOL!

Karen, hope you get your ride in sometime this weekend. My DD16 just got a job at Maurice´s. Don´t know how much of her paycheck she will actually see...she love clothes;)

Laurie, this must be your next to last weekend at the Faire. Have fun.

Hi Dani.

Have a great weekend

Good Morning

Good Morning All,

Yesterday was a very nice day. Woke up and did Jari Love's Slim and Lean. Dropped of my other half at the airport so he could visit his family in Ohio. The rest of the day was spent with the kids and grandparents outside. I thought it was going to rain but it never did.

Today I am going to do Cardio Fusion. I think we will finally get hit with the rain today, which will be nice. My grass could use it. Then it is off to Sears to have my DD's picture taken.

LaLa- My other half is originally from the Youngstown area. We go there and visit every once and awhile. For awhile we tried to find a job for me around there but no luck. The job market there stinks. Also some of my coworkers went to school in Marshfield. I am a Histology tech and Marshfield is suppose to be one of the best schools for that field.

Karen-Yes we did go to the fair this year. I am only about a mile away so it makes for a nice walk and I don't have to worry about parking. The kids really enjoyed it.

Laurie-I love your screen name. My other half is a big Nascar fan. The bad part is he likes Tony Stewart. Also we have looked at houses in Vernon, I really like that area.

Sue- I am actually getting P90X. My friend has it so she is letting me use it. It is funny the mixed reviews on this. I always like to give something a try out for myself to see. She did say Tony does make corny comments. Oh and your joke made me chuckle.

Hi Susan-Enjoy your quiet weekend.:D

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hi there!

Dani, how long is your hubby gone for? We only got a very light shower here this morning and are not supposed to get any more rain for at least 5 days! The good part is I did not have to mow the lawn this week!;) Your DH likes Tony Stewart?!! We are Nascar lovers here too but my DH is a Gordon fan and I am an Earnhart Jr. fan. The only driver we both like is Jimmy Johnson and the one we both despise is Stewart! Admittedly I used to hate watching NASCAR and then some how I got hooked on it!

Todays workout is Muscle Endurance but I am going to go heavier on the upper body work than she does. I also went for a 40mn walk with Ruby.

DH and DS went to the DU Great Outdoors Festival in Oshkosh today so it's just me and the DD11!

Hope you all enjoy your day! Susan:cool:

Hi BB's,

This morning I did PUB down premix only. We are leaving shortly to go on our tandem ride. I don't know how long or how far. It is a windy day.

DS lost 2 of his 3 soccer games this morning. It was fun to watch soccer again.

Dani, neat DH gets to go visit his family. Glad you got to enjoy the outdoors with your family. Up in these parts there are not many of these days left. Have fun with the pictures.

Susan, enjoy ME and have a good day with your DD.

Enjoy the weekend.:)
