Cathlete
Hello there! Well, that weekend flew right by! ;) We had a nice time at the wedding reception Friday night. It was nice to see old friends. Saturday was spent doing house work and reading my book! Sunday we went to our County fair. That was a good (HOT) time as well.

Saturday for my exercise I did my new Pilates on the Go, on the Ball DVD. It was fun and challenging. I know it's a good pilates workout when I sweat! :D She targets the glutes well in this one. I like this instruictor. Her name is Maria Leone. I can only find 2 dvd's she's done though. Hope she makes more! Sunday, I just walked for 40mn.

Today is the elliptical for 30mn (random program) and Pilates on the Ball (again) :p. I am going to do Pilates 4 days a week to see what happens....

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend! We sure had some storms here and a little more is on the way!

Take care- Susan

Morning All,

This morning was Quick Cardio Total Body Blast A&B, and a 30 min Run. Dang where my legs and feet feeling the weekend, but I pushed through on my run, and they sure felt much better.

Saturday was Lower Body Blast B&C, and Abs Blast B (all on the ball). :) Sunday was my rest day. :D :D

Weather was bad for us this weekend, but we all survived. Our guilde had their 20th anniv., and lots of former members where their. Sure was lots of fun to see these people. Some I had never met before. :)

Susan, Saw on the weather radar that you all where getting some pretty bad weather up there. Some of the storm clouds passed us by, so we really only had one that poured rain. :( Always fun to find a new instructor that gives you a good workout. :)

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi, Susan and Laurie! Yes, it was a wet, sticky hot weekend. The storms passing through last night were LOUD!

Laurie - Hope your beautiful dress didn't get all muddy. Who's the instructor in Quick Cardio? Is it the one with Tracey Mallett? I did a quick google search and found workouts by her and Denise Austin. I'm assuming it's not Denise.

Susan - Let us know how your new Pilates rotation goes. I've never heard of Maria Leone before but I'm glad you found a new instructor you like.

My weekend was pretty quiet in terms of activities. I'm glad because I snuck in a nap Saturday afternoon. Took DD14 school shopping yesterday. She is officially now too cute to go to school. :p Going to have to start thinking about our dating rules. Hasn't been an issue so far.

Here's what I did:

Saturday - Results Upper + Gilad Fat Burning Hi/Lo cardio
Sunday - Results Lower + hips, thighs, abs from Best of Gilad
Monday - 2 mile walk with a little bit of jogging in mile 2 and some ab work on my own

Have a great Monday everyone! Hi Karen! Hi Lala!

Hi all,

Sat. went for a hour tandem ride with DH. Sun. went jet skiing--does that count as exercise:D? Today I did STS disk 3 Legs, ball stretchmax and ab circuits ball ab workout.

Sue, too cute about DD being to cute to go to school. You got nice workouts in over the weekend.

Laurie, was it hot and humid during the faire? I don't think I would do very well. Glad you had a good time reuniting and meeting new people.

Susan, sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. Glad you enjoyed the wedding reception. You always get good results with pilates. Enjoy.

Hi Lala.

Have a great day.

Hi! Today was 4ds bootcamp. I'm doing 4ds this week since we're leaving for OH on Thurs aft. and I figure I'll get all my weights in! My mom is celebrating her 80th birthday.

this weekend I did GS chest and tris. and think that's about it! Had family visiting and that was fun.

Susan, some time I'll have to try pilates. You've done a lot...which one do you like best?

Sue, I can relate to DD being too cute! It gets kinda scary:confused: I think we got off easy re: dating rules...my oldest two didn't date much and DD17 has some pretty conservative ideas about dating :)

Karen, YES!! jetskiing counts!!

Laurie, glad to see you here...which means you survived your weekend. I think this one may be just as if not hotter...I'm sure you love to hear that:rolleyes:

Good Morning! And what a gorgeous morning it was! Loved walking in much less humid air!:D

Today I have to do a lot of yard work: pull weeds, picking up after our apple tree, mow lawn.. and then Pilates on the Go (mat work).

Lala, Happy Birthday to your Mom! Hope she enjoys it! Yes, I always encourage people to at least try Pilates. It has so many benefits. I really like that it keeps me flexible, and promotes good posture. As for who I like, I started with Mari Winsor and still recommend her and also like this Maria Leone instructor. You can always go through your library just to "test" one out!;)

HI Karen, I can honestly say I have never been jet skiing! Glad you had fun!

Sue, gladf you got a nap in this weekend! I tried but was always interrupted!:(

Laurie, oh the heat int hat dress must have been tough! I hope this weekend is cooler for you!

Have a nice day ladies! Susan

Morning All,

Today I have only gotten in TM's Lower Body Blast A&B and Abs Blast B. After work I want to get in 4DS Kicboxing cardio only.

Sue, I didn't even hear the storms! My DH had said that they where LOUD. I was looking at him like this ! :D I still have to go school shopping, and I too understand about the to cute for school! We gave our daughter rules for dating, and so far she has followed them. She wants DH and I to trust her. :) Anything with Quick in it is Tracey Mallets. ;) So far I'm liking the workouts, and plan on sticking to these until Sept. I'm planning on STS for the 14th.

Karen, Of course jet skiing is exercise. You had to be using that upper body! :D It was pretty hot both days, but we did get some relief when the storm clouds showed up. The wind was what gave the relief!

Lala, Yipee! More heat, just hope the humidity is lower. :) That is what kills ya. ;) Happy Birthday to your Mom, another Leo!

Susan, Enjoy your outdoor exercise today, and of course your pilates.

Here is a pic of me, and the ladies who play my sisters-in-law http://www.flickr.com/photos/8765199@N07/3805444036/ Yes, the person I play did inform people at court that she was the Queen of the Ilse of Man. Which still is in exsistance today.

Have a great day,

Laurie

Karen - I've never gone jet-skiing but it sure looks fun and I count just about anything that gets me off my duff as exercise. :D

Laurie - You are so good at planning rotations! I'll have to figure out how I can tweak that Jillian Michaels rotation. Can't handle doing the same workouts for a month.

Lala - Happy Birthday to your mom! 4DS is a great series. Love the step cardios and the pushups around the clock.

Susan - You picked a great day for yardwork. Enjoy!

Walked a mile last night. This morning I was super lazy. Did Supersets Upper premix and that was all I could muster up energy for. Some days are like that I guess.

Hi,

Yesterday was a busy day. I did pick up DS from Hunters Safety by bike 10 miles, walked the dog a mile and walked with a friend 2 miles. Then went for our 40 mile tandem ride last night.

Sue, I like Supersets, fun workout. Nice day for a walk.

Laurie, neat picture. I guess I should have been clearer on the jet skiing. I was sitting on the back--still exercise? I started STS again on Mon. Really like the workouts.

Susan, glad you had a good walk and got your yard work in. I have to go back and do pilates again. That is something I cut when I get short on time.

Lala, enjoy your time with your mother. That is great. 4DS is a great way to fit everything in quickly.

Off for another busy day.

Morning All,

Today my workout was TM's Mind Body Blast A&B, Upper Body Blast B and 4DS Kickboxing cardio only. Didn't get that workout done yesterday, just to busy. Want to get in a run after work. ;)

Sue, There was a thread on OD about a download from ExerciseTV that incorporated Shred, BFBM and NMTZ. It also has a workout from the OnDemand, but you could sub Shred #3 (which they didn't include in the 30 day rotation). It really looks like a good rotation, and I will probably try it out after STS. ;)

Karen, Ok, so on the back of a jet ski you have to hold on for dear life! :D :D Again upper body working, and legs(because you are trying to stay on). :D When you restart STS do you do the 1RM again, or just lift what you had previously?

Have a great day,

Laurie

Hello there!:D Well, I got all my yard work done and it looks very nice!:) My legs are sore today. Might be due to the pilates... Today will be CTX Kickbox (cardio) and Mari Winsor Pilates.

We are having company for dinner so I need to get the house cleaner and run to the grocery store!

Karen, you got in a lot of exercise yesterday!

Laurie, hope you get your run in later. Beautiful day today!

Hi Sue!
Hi lala!

Have a great day! Susan

Laurie - Thanks for the link. I actually saw the thread and printed the rotation. Subbing Shred 3 is a good idea since I'd have to workout upstairs in our living room for the on-demand workout which is not a good space for working out. Still don't know if I could do it for 4 weeks. Could probably do 2 though.

Susan - I just read a quote from Cathe "Sore today, strong tomorrow". :D I bet it feels good to have all that yardwork done.

Karen - Lots of biking and walking yesterday - are your legs sore? Is today less busy?

Slept in this morning and won't get a workout tonight. DH's sister is visiting from Atlanta and is coming over for dinner. It'll be a short visit because DH, DS and DD need to pack because they're leaving for Indianapolis at 5 a.m. tomorrow! They're going to a gaming conference (ie. board games, video games, computer games). They'll be gone 3 whole nights so I'll be able to do whatever I want for a few days. Planning to see a movie, visit my Mom and of course, workout. They're going with a family friend so already 4 of them going. I'd be a 5th wheel and totally and utterly bored for 3 days hanging around the hotel. Looking forward to some free time to myself. :D

Hi! Today I swam at our outdoor pool (the city's, not mine :p) and did 4DS back and chest. Then finished mowing the lawn. I am tired! Tomorrow I have my annual check up and have to be at the lab at 7:30, so won't get my workout in til later.

Laurie, great picture! It is all so professional! So, with all that and work, you are still getting in great workouts!

Karen, can't believe the biking you got in...and the walking!

Sue, I know, sometime I feel guilty when I don't mind when the family leaves  but having that time to do WHATEVER can be wonderful :) That gaming conference sounds like something my DS would like!

Susan, I will check out some pilates. And yes, these last few days are finally feeling like summer!

:)Morning All,

This morning was Quick Body Blast B&C and Abs Blast A. Had to bring Cami to doggy daycare, so will get in a kb workout after work. DD's are going with GP's to the state faire today. Glad they will have some nice weather.

Susan, I came home from work yesterday, and my house was clean! Oldest DD said she would clean the kitchen and family room for $25. It was well worth the money to come into the house to see it clean. I told her if she did the cleaning like this all the time I would pay her. :D She even did laundry! Which I have been paying her $2 a load. I can understand that the pilates might be why you legs are sore. Just the little 6 min. segments that I have been doing are making my legs sore. ;)

Sue, I would also have to go upstairs for the OnDemand stuff. Just might check that workout out though, because that girl sure does give a good workout. I lent my Shred DVD to a friend of mine that is getting married in May, and she wants to look her best. She has been doing Yoga Booty Ballet and Turbo Jam (I gave her this also :)). I would just LOVE to have three days by myself, its like a recharge.

Lala, Can't say that having an annual exam is fun! ;) Great Upper and Lower body workout you gave yourself yesterday! :D I am proud of myself for getting in my workouts. Today Tracey Mallet said that just being consistent in my workouts will make a change. :) And I think that she is correct. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi,

Today I did KPC and yesterday I did STS disk1 and ran 2.5 mile race at night with DH and a few of my kids. DD6 finished in 30 min this time. Two min. better than two weeks ago. DS13 bettered his time by 2 min and DS11 did better by 25 sec. I bettered my time by 32 sec. ran it it 19:21.

Laurie, it is a great day for the fair. We were hoping to get there this year but it is not in the cards. Another warm one this weekend I hear.

Lala, nice workouts. Wish I was a better swimmer.

Sue, enjoy your alone time. You definitely deserve it.

Susan, sore legs is a good thing, isn't it. Who else would think that. I am going to try to add pilates in each day, even if its only 10 min.

Off to pick up kids from safety classes and drop DD16 at work.I can't believe she turns 17 on Tue.

We are going to Waukesha this weekend for DD6 to go to an overnight event at the museum with her cousin. We are leaving the DD16 and DS15 home alone so DS doesn't miss his soccer games. DD will drive him. We are making the trip short and coming back Sat. night after stopping at my parent's house on the way back. Good experience for both of them.

Enjoy.

Lala - I haven't been swimming all summer! July was too cold and now we're too busy. You did a lot yesterday. No wonder you're tired.

Laurie - I like your idea of paying the kids $2 per load of laundry. DH would argue that they should help out around the house without getting paid on top of their allowance but their allowance is not very much to begin with.

Karen - Great time in your race last night. Sounds like a fun activity this weekend for DD6. My kids never did anything like that.

Had a nice visit with DH's sister last night but got to bed late and didn't workout last night or this morning. Got up at 4 to help get everyone ready to leave for Indy. At 4:42 I went back to bed until 6! :D Tonight the night is mine although the guys at work think that since I have all this time on my hands I should bake them a cake or something for tomorrow. LOL They're so funny. . . I plan on working out and getting to bed early!

Today I did 4DS shoulders, calves, core. Now am getting ready for our trip to OH.

Karen, I think it is so great that your family loves to run...together:)

Laurie, there are definitely times that paying for things to get done is well worth it. And I understand the sentiment of helping out because they are part of the family, which I have always believed, but like I said...there are times...and if it works...woo hoo. Because the "being part of the family" gets me lot of eye rolls:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Susan, up at 4:eek: At least you were able to get back to sleep. Enjoy your time!

Hi Sue! Have a nice weekend

Morning All,

Todays workout was Mind Body Blast B&C, Upper Body Blast A and a 30 min Run.

After work DH and I are going to a daycare for a Ren education evening. This is a paid gig for our group. Should be fun, because it is for parents and children from 3-11 years.

Karen, Wonderful job your whole family did on the times. ;) It is very hard leaving your children home alone. :( But they will be together. :)

Sue, So how was your first night alone? :D Did you get in a workout? My girls do not get an allowance, so the only way they get $ is by working for it. I have a whole list of things they can do around the house that I pay anywhere from $1-$5, depending on how messy it is to do. I have a spiral notebook, across the top I put the chore and how much it is worth. Underneath that I make a series of boxes, and they put their name/date/and how many times they did the chore. At the end of the week we pay them. They have even thought of some, and will ask me how much it was worth. :D DD12 has taken a little longer to understand that the more work you do the more $ you get. I will not pay them to clean their rooms, or their bathroom. ;)

Lala, Oh yes I sure did get the eye rolls . And nothing was getting done. With all the work they did this week, they just may break the bank . I should subtract money when I have to pick-up after them though. :D Have fun in OH!

Have a great day!

Laurie

HI there! Sorry didn't get around to posting yesterday. Woke up and walked Ruby then did pilates Buns & Thighs. The rest of the day was spent with my friend and her kids at the pool! It was a nice, fun day. Enjoyed the sun and the cool water!

Today was a walk, the elliptical (Extreme Heart Rate), and Pilates on the Ball.

Gotta tell ya, we have been watching this building go up about 1 block from our house. I ask around town and nobody knows what it's going to be. Well yesterday on my way back into town, there was sign up saying "Home of Anytime 24hr Fitness"! I am sooooo excited!! I have told my DH since we moved here that I wish we had a health club and now we will and I can walk or bike there! I told him last night I am going to try and get a part-time job there as well! :D I know the one in Oshkosh is only $15 a month. I can definetly afford that! So happy!! I just want to go there for the strength equipment!

Another hot weekend in store for us I see. We might go to a
Timber-Rattler baseball game. Haven't decided. Hope to get school shoes too.

I'll check back later! Have a great day! Susan
