Hello there! I hope you all had nice,(hot) weekends! We went camping and had a lot of fun. It was so hot though! Thank goodness they had a great swimming beach! Now I need to re-focus on healthy eating habits!

Today is Step Jam for me! An oldie but a goodie! I also walked for 30mns. this morning.

Morning BB's,

Today I will be starting Cathe's July Rotation, but I will be doing BM2 Upper Body Weights. This is Tuesdays workout. My feet are sore today, so I need to take it easy on them. :D

The weekend went fairly well. Saturday was not as good as Sunday, our timings where off. Sunday was a hotter day even. We had a few people that became ill from the heat, but they where ok. All of them new people.

Susan, Step Jam is a good workout. I have to remember to pull out some of those oldies from the VHS pile. :)

Ladies I have a confession to make. I worked out with Denise Austin on Saturday. :D I purchased her Blast Away 10 Lbs VHS tape from Dollar General. I thought for $1 I could probably work out with this lady. She isn't that annoying on this workout as she is on other ones that I have purchased before. But for a 20 min. workout this one got my heart pumping. I did have a problem with cueing, but that may have been because I had the volume pretty low. :D I figured that if I put the volumne low then I could do the workout. :)

I have a Denise workout also. Her newer "Bootcamp" one. It is not too tough and does get my heart going but we all know she's no Cathe! I also tend to turn down the volume! LOL

Today I did Barry's arms and abs. Not a great ab workout. No obliques. My swelling is not going down so I made an appt. to go to the Dr. on Wed. Unfortunately he does not have any openings until then and I don't want to go to someone else.

Susan, glad someone is gettin use out of the oldies. I just never pull them out. Some day. You are really good at that. Nice day for a walk too.

Laurie, I would guess opening weekend is going to be the toughest to get things moving smoothly. Glad Sun. was better and the people that got sick from the heat are o.k. How many hours did you stand? Have fun with the July rotation.

Laurie - Denise Austin! (gasp) I don't know if I can associate with you anymore;-) And you, too, Susan? Oh, my gosh. Laurie, I can't even imagine what it must have been like for you yesterday at Ren Faire in the heat! Do you at least have a shady spot you can go for breaks?

Karen - Swelling? What swelling? I must have missed something.

Well I finally got caught up on sleep and got a few workouts in. On Friday night I did New You Coming for the first time. I liked it for a light weight full-body workout. Good when you've been on vacation and don't want to get too sore by doing heavy weights. On Saturday I did Step Boxing and a segment of Rhythmic Step. Yesterday was GS-CT Timesaver premix. This morning was a 5 mile jog/walk.

It's my 43rd birthday. Not sure if I should be excited about that. It's just a number, right? ;-)

Sue, Happy Birthday. Hope you have a wonderful day. What do you have planned? Now I will write this date down so I can wish you a happy birthday next year. You are just another year better. You have been getting some good workouts in. I like NYC. I broke a couple blood vessels in the peri area and the swelling is getting worse in the bones way up across from my hip bones. Worried about clotting. Hope it's nothing. Just biding time until I can see the Dr.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Can't the doc get you in sooner if it's an emergency? I would think potential blood clotting is an emergency. Not to scare you or anything but it does sound serious. If it gets any worse DEFINITELY CALL and explain what's going on. Promise? Okay, I'm done being a nag. :+

Hello! Another hot and muggy day today! Storms are supposed to move in this afternoon!

Today was a 45mn walk and the Elliptical for 40mn followed by ab work.

Yesterday I changed my mind and did the BM2 Timesaver Cardio Premix. It was a little confusing at first, but I soon got into the swing of Cathe again. I also added in a 20 min. Yoga with Sara Ivanhoe. So today will be BM2 Upper Body Weights, and Yoga. Debating it I will add in a run also. But then I have volleyball tonight, so we will see how I feel.

Karen, I bet you can't wait to get in to see the Dr. Take care of that leg.

Susan, I am waiting for the weather to cool down today also. It is suppose to do that sometime today.

Sue, How was your B'Day. Did you get any good presents. Maybe some workouts. ;-)

Susan - Great workout today! And bright and early, too. You must be a morning person.

Laurie - DH bought me a new, upgraded Palm that I've been asking for. I keep everything on there - kids immunization info, medication doses, student id #s, lock combinations - as well as calendar and contact info. It's still a fairly cheap one but better than what I had. I know what you mean about getting back into the swing of Cathe choreography. I tried to do the RS Challenge the other day and couldn't remember it well enough without a refresher course so did one of the segments with the breakdown instead.

Karen - Hope the swelling has gone down some. That must make it uncomfortable to sit. Hope you get relief soon. Thanks for the birthday thread in the OD forum. You're a sweetie!

I did Push-Pull Lower Body 2X Premix (38 min.) + abs from PP & SS (4 min.) and some walking lunges and crunches on my own. Never did this premix before and wanted a quick leg workout so gave it a try. I have a feeling my butt will be sore tomorrow.

So, I walked for 40 minutes and will be doing Pilates Advanced in just a bit!

We won in volleyball last night, and my workout yesterday was AWESOME! Did all the decline push-ups off the ball, and the wide ones on my toes. Have to give Tony credit for being able to do that.

Will be getting a home visit from our possible new pet next week when we are on vacation. Figured this would be the easiest way for all of us to meet her since DH is a second shifter.

Workout for today is B&G Leg Blast Premix and StretchX (just because it is a good one)

Susan, I had the window open last night, and it felt great to have that chill in the air. I slept so much better last night. :)

Karen, Hope your Dr. Appt goes well today, and your leg heals real soon.

Sue, Great present from DH, those little devices are handy. Your workout sounded great yesterday. I like when I combine other workouts into my day. Variety makes for less boredom. :)

Susan - It was chilly last night already when DH and I went for our walk. It's a relief though from what we had last weekend.

Laurie - Congrats on your volleyball win and awesome job on the pushups! Doesn't it make you feel great to see progress like that? There are so many Cathe premixes I've never tried and you're right about it alleviating boredom to combine different workouts like that.

Karen - Let us know how your doctor appt. goes today. I'm a little worried we didn't hear from you yesterday. Hope you're okay. Is it your leg or peri area? Or both?

I did GS-BSB Timesaver this morning. Planned on doing a short cardio, too, but I was playing with my new Palm and didn't get going right away. DH and I have been doing stretching workouts after our walk (he joins me almost every night now). His flexibility isn't too bad but his balance is terrible! He says the stretching helps his back feel better. I'd like him to try StretchX but it's too long to do during the week.

Anyone going to see the new Harry Potter movie today? We tried buying tickets online last night but the online tickets are all sold out. Yeah, I know we waited too long. You have to get to the theatre an hour before the show starts to buy tickets and then stand in line for your seats. That's what we were told anyway when we called the theatre. We have so many things going on this week that we won't be able to do that until the weekend if we can squeeze it in then even with DS' baseball tournament (yep, another one).
