Morning BB's,

This morning was yoga, so PY4H Magical Hips was the workout of choice. Saturday I did a 30 min. run outdoors, and Disc 29 Plyo Legs. Sunday was our 2nd rehearsal, and around 3:30 pm we got rained out. Guess our rehearsal will be a lot longer next week. Hopefully this rain thing isn't going to be the norm for the summer. :(

Susan, I don't even remember how long I have had my tm, but I'm hoping it will be an easy inexpensive fix. ;) You will love all those workouts, NMTZ is really great.

Sue, Will be ready with your review of the new Bob Harper workouts. I'm hoping that they will be good.

Have a great day!

Hi

Saturday I did 5 1/2 mile run and High/Tight. Sunday I did the first 5 segments of the new Kettlebell workout by Keith Weber. Today I ran 2 1/2 miles then went for a 10 mile bike ride. Tomorrow is a 2 mile fun run. Our whole family is doing it on a trail up here. I am going to try to keep up with my 12 year old. Not likely though.

Laurie, haven't done Plyo Legs in a long time. I will do it sometime this week. I love those workouts. Did you ever try Tonique? Good to go into rehersals slowly. Now you will be ready for the long ones. The rain is good for one thing.

You guys are all getting so much done. Great job all.

Enjoy your day.

We are heading to Colorado on a family vacation this Sat. No workouts for 9 days. Hopefully we keep really busy and I can manage my eating. Probably the only one we will ever take. I know it is the first we have taken as a family. DD turns 18 in Aug. Time is sure going by quickly.

Hi gang! Weekend was busy. Ran 3 miles Saturday and mowed lawn and did other yard work. Sunday I walked and did Core Synergistics. Yesterday was another very busy day but I did get a 60mn walk in with Ruby before it got too crazy! Today was a 2.5 mile run and pilates max. burn. New DVDs are still not here! :( Hoping they come by the end of the week! I like that this schedule only has me running Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Otherwise I think I'd get "burned out"!

Today hubby and I celebrate our 19th anniversary! Where did that time go? Unfortunately it's also baseball night...;) Told him I want to go get new running shoes for my anniversary gift!:D However, the van is in the shop and I don't know when I'll get it back. Good news was, what we thought was gong to be an expensive fix, ended up being only $90! That made us happy!:D

Laurie, do you know when you'll get the TM fixed? What is "Magical Hips"?
It's raining here again today...!

Hi Karen, I sure hope you and the family fully enjoy your vacation! How nice! It's great that you all get out and run as a family too! My DD says her hip keeps "popping" when she walks so I need to get her in and checked as to why it does that. :(

Okay, enough chit-chat! I have to get some work done!

Susan

Morning BB's,

Max Cardio Recovery for me this morning.

Karen, Sounds like a great vacation you have planned. Enjoy, that area is beautiful. Great workouts, and have fun with the fun run. Still have not tried out the Toniques, always find something else to do.

Susan, Congrats on your Anniversary! :) DH is going to call the place that we purchased the tm from, they should have someone that can fix it. Magical Hips comes from Eoin Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness DVD

Have a great day!
Laurie

Good Morning,

Today I did STS disk 19 chest,tri/shoulder.

My hip/back went out last weekend so I couldn't stand still, sit or lay down. I didn't get to go with the family to my nephews graduation down south. It is just starting to feel better now. Hope it lasts the trip to Colorado.

Susan, congrats on your anniversary. Funny we got married one year before you by a day. Ours is tomorrow. 20 years. The kids are in a fun bike race tomorrow night but we might go out for dinner after that if my parent's send money like they normally do. Are you running to run in a race or just as a different form of exercise?

Laurie, I like the workout max cardio recovery. Haven't done Insanity in a while. I will have to pull them out again. Funny after not doing them for awhile I am afraid to do them again.

Have a great day.

Karen - I LOVE Colorado! :D I have a sister in Centennial (Denver burb) so I've been there many times. Please tell me you're going to the mountains (at least one day). They're beautiful! Hope it's not too hot. The mountains will be chilly but Denver and other cities are very hot in the summer. Happy 20th Anniversary!

Susan - Happy 19th Anniversary! New running shoes sounds like a great anniversary gift to me! ;-) Nice surprise on your van.

Laurie - I'm with you on the rain thing. Hopefully, it's not the norm this summer. I have Power Yoga for Happiness, too. Thanks for the reminder. I should drag that one out.

Last night I did BBC Total Body. This morning I did 24 min. of Pilates with Tara Stiles on Exercise TV. Good workout - short & effective. Can't remember what I did over the weekend but I'm sure it wasn't too exciting. I don't know if I'm being lazy, unmotivated, uninspired or what. It's not overtraining. I'm not tired and don't have any of the symptoms. I'm okay once I start doing something. It's just getting my butt down in the basement sometimes. :-( I thought maybe I need a change of pace which is why I did the Pilates this morning. Should try some yoga again, too. My back has been really stiff.

Hi,

Finished my 2 mile run last night in 15:57. DS12 finished in 13:50 and DS14 finished in 13:29 and DD17 finished in 16:13. DH did the 6 mile and finished in 58 min.

Sue, we are going to Broomfield. I think that is around the Denver/Boulder area also. It is probably the weather making everyone tired. You are still getting good workouts in.

Don't know what to do today, maybe DH and I will go for a tandem ride tonight after the Aquafest bike ride for the kids, then out to eat.

Have a great day.

Hi there! This morning I walked and then hopped on my bike for a 13 mile ride. It was nice, especially since I bought myself a new gel seat the other day!;) I was sweating head to toe when I got home. Felt good. Hope to do a good stretch/pilates workout later.

Tried on about 15 pairs of running shoes yesterday. All of them felt like I was on cement, very little cushioning. So today I shall try again! Had a nice night yesterday though. DS's game was canceled due to rain, again!

Karen, you are a fast runner! Great job to all of you!

Lots to do today! Better get to work! Have a great day!:D

Susan

Morning BB's,

MMA Boxing for me this morning. Yesterday I got home from work and the girls had made my kitchen spotless. All I had asked was that the dishes get done. :D I think the oldest needs $ to put gas in her car. ;)

Karen, Ouch on the back, just glad you are doing better. I can understand the hesitation on the Insanity workouts, only doing them once a week I have lost some of my endurance. They are tough workouts. Great times by everyone on that run.

Sue, Got to love that BBC Total Body! I have that one scheduled for Friday. Oh yes drag out that PY4H, and do that Magically Hips workout, that will help the hips and lower back. One thing that has kept me out of the exercise slump for almost a year now, and that is picking out or creating a rotation. I started out with 4 weeks, and then chose a totally different rotation after that. Jillian's 30 day was the first, then her 30 Day slimdown. After that it was STS. I think it is the commitment to a rotation, and one that you will enjoy doing that helps with the slumps. I usually can't get motivated if I don't have a solid plan.

Susan, WTG on the bike ride. Keep checking out those shoes, I have always liked my Asics. Try going to a running store, they check out your arches and should know what shoes will be most comfortable.

Have a great day!

Karen - I'd take any of those times. :) Enjoy your tandem ride and eating out.

Laurie - You're right - I need a plan. Maybe when I get Bob's new dvds (still haven't received them), I'll come up with a rotation.

Susan - You have a lot of patience to try on that many shoes! Sounds like a good bike ride. The weather today would be perfect.

DS had football camp today and we couldn't arrange a ride for him so I took the morning off. Felt good to sleep in a bit. Did 21 Day Toning on Exercise TV and 4DS Back, Biceps. Been awhile since I lifted heavy so I thought I'd do it for awhile and shake things up a bit. I'd like to keep doing Pilates at least once a week, too. My core really felt it after that workout yesterday.

Hi ladies! Today was a 2 mile run, mowing the lawn (again) and some core work. Did not look at any shoes while shopping yesterday, too focused on getting DH his Father's Day gift. He wanted this rain gear for when he has to golf in the rain. Well, very few places here must carry the specific brand he asked for. I almost gave up, but then I found it. It better be right! ;)

Sue, that's the main reason I love pilates. It really works the core and keeps my tummy flat. Glad you got to sleep in! :)

Laurie, can I hire your girls to make my kitchen spotless?! Every time I do it, it lasts for just a short while then someone messes it up again! Very frustrating!

Karen, figures the weekend you leave to go to Colorado is the weekend my hubby chooses to go to the cabin! Oh, well - we'll be going up there near the end of July too I think. I'll let you know! Love to meet you, in person! :D Have a fun and safe trip!

Take care ladies! Susan

Good Morning,

Yesterday I ended up doing STS plyo legs in the a.m. DH decided to fill in for a volleyball game last night instead of biking. Today I'll try to get in a bike ride or a run before the rain.:( No more rain!!!

Susan, glad you got DH a fathers day gift. I still haven't figured anything out. Nice job on the bike ride. We should be around the rest of the summer so I look forward to the end of July if that works out. Have a fun weekend up here. Hope it doesn't rain. Haven't checked the weather lately. I have New Balance shoes, they seem to be a good shoe. I never got the right size shoe until I visited a Fleet Feet. They are so good there.

Sue, love the music in 4DS. Glad you are enjoying pilates. Sounds like the start of a busy summer for you already. Did you ever get your family out for a bike ride?

Laurie, nice your girls go the extra mile. Laurie, what type of rotation are you doing now? I don't know if I lost endurance or not and I really like the workouts once I start doing them. I couldn't believe how hard the plyo leg workout was yesterday. Maybe endurance has gone down. I didn't remember them being so hard.

DD7 took first in the bike race last night and DS12 took 2nd. This was his last year for the kids race so he was hoping for a 1st. He always has such a good attitude though.

Have a great day.

Morning BB's,

All three segments of Stretchmax for me this morning.

Youngest DD must be feeling way more energetic, because she dusted my glass tables and vacuumed the stairs. She even made brownies! :D Think getting the medication to help with her anemia was the ticket. Guess we are now seeing our real daughter, she wasn't lazy she was just exhausted. Wish I had figured this out a long time ago. ;)

Sue, Glad you had a chance to sleep in, that really can be a nice change of pace. I can't wait for you to get your shippment, I'm hoping those workouts are going to be good. Wonderful on the pilates working your core so good.

Susan, You are so good trying to get the right gift. I have not gotten anything for DH yet, and still need to find something for my little brother for Saturday. My SIL is throwing him a surprise party, he is turning 40. When my youngest sister turns 40, then I will be feeling old. :D If the girls get paid for work, they will work! LOL

Karen, Last week after the plyo leg work I had really sore calf muscles, really didn't understand why. Those are some tough workouts, and maybe you just had an off day. I get those once in a while too. You have been getting lot's of rain? Wasn't it pretty dry up in that area before the downpours? I'm still on the STS Undulating rotation, and I have 8 weeks left before I go to something else. So far I have pretty solid biceps, and the legs are looking good. Still have that squish around the middle though. But the core is strong.

Have a great day!

You all have been so busy! So have I but grading SO tests. Did so some swimming and a short run . Karen I am so impressed with your run time...way. to go. Ho all...have to board my flight

I did PY4H Yoga Quickie premix Wednesday night. It helped my back a little but it's still stiff. Yesterday I did a quick Leslie mile before work and last night did 30-30 HIIT and Tara Stiles Pilates again. I want a flat stomach like Susan! This afternoon I plan on doing 4DS Chest, Shoulders, Tris.

Karen - No, the family hasn't gone for a bike ride yet. The kids need new bikes because they've both outgrown the ones they have.

Laurie - Still no dvds yet! I hope my order didn't get screwed up. I received a delivery notification but when I opened the email there was no message.

I have to buy DH a Father's Day present, too. He gave me an idea though - a new tie. I want to get a new shirt to match. All he ever wears are white shirts.

Well, my new boss starts on Monday. He comes from a much larger company and all of us are nervous about what changes he might make. Not that change is bad - some changes I would gladly welcome - it's just that things are done differently at a larger company when you have a huge staff. We have to wear many hats in our department. There are other reasons to be nervous about this new guy but I can't go into it here. It has to do with his experience and the direction our company may be going. We'll just have to wait and see.

Morning BB's,

Today was BBC 5DA Total Body. Last night Cami and I went for a short run, since it was such a nice evening out. I don't think that there will be any running today, way to hot! Funny how that humidty can make such a difference.

Lala, Hope you have a great time wherever you are going. :D

Sue, Great workouts! Hope all goes well with the new boss, it is always interesting what will happens.

No huge plans for us this weekend, I need to get in the yard and do some weeding. All this rain has really made a small forest!

Have a great weekend,
