BUFF BADGERS 3/13

Happy Monday to all!!

I have been slacking with the check-ins due to doctor appointments. It ends up that I do not have a thyroid problem which I guess is good. However, I am always fatigued, irritable, chest pains, stomache upset, ect... They had me do a stress test on the treadmill. My heart is in "amazing shape" the cardiologist said. He asked if I was a runner and I explained to him the Cathe workouts. He listened intently and even took down her web site info! I have been told it is anxiety I am dealing with. I had a strange feeling that might be what it was. The doctor said anxiety does cause weight gain, due to the stress going on insde your body. It causes your body to store fat when under stress. Also the heart palpitations and so on are little panic attacks. I have been stressing a lot since starting a new job, trying to keep the family happy and the house in line... I go in to see her again this week to "discuss my options".

Anyway, Thank God for Cathe and her workouts! She keeps me feeling sane if only for an hour or so a day! Today I feel like having fun so I'll be doing Rythmic Step and some Pilates for the bottom half! Enjoy your day ladies! Stay strong and thanks for letting me vent!!!- Susan

Susan, I'm glad to hear you've been seeking an answer to your problems. I hope you can figure out how to handle it. Stress is tough, I sure know that!

I found a house this weekend! I'm so excited. I'm putting an offer on it today and listing my house with Shorewest today, too. Now I need to sell my house fast so I don't lose this one! Unfortunately it's not in East Troy. There's just nothing decent in the price range I want to spend. This is in Spring Prairie, which is about 10 minutes Southeast of here. 3 blocks from Honey Lake, so we could walk to the beach. Woods across the street. It's very private! I wouldn't change much about the house-the whole inside has been completely redone. But I do need to add on some space since it's a little smaller than I wanted. But the price is low enough that I can do that.

I took a ton of pics yesterday and posted them. If you want to see them, go to photobucket.com. The user name is SPHouse and the password is vixens (password is from Video Vixens, another site I post at a ton lol).

Jill, the house looks so nice and cozy! I really like it! I love all the wood work in it too. How much time do you have to sell your home? Hopefully your realtor will be on the ball and get something lined up pronto!! I am so happy for you! Good luck! Susan

Thanks Susan. I love it, too. The guy used to be a professional carpenter and you can tell that everything he's done is rock solid and done to perfection. It's awesome. I'm surprised I love it so much. I have always like a more modern house and this is a bit cabin-y. But I think all the bright paint colors help keep it from looking like "up north" too much. :)

ETA One problem I'm going to have is I'll have to get rid of a LOT of furniture! Going from an almost 2,000 sq ft house to an 1,100 sq ft is going to be a real challenge. I'm going to see what my construction/remodel guy has to say about potential additions before I make decisions.

Morning BB's,

Susan, Stess is an evil thing!!! And stress at work is the worst. I was very happy once when a boss of mine was fired. He made my lift a living hell! :-( Just wish that I had Cathe at that time in my life.

Jill, congrats on the house. Shorewest is a great company, we have used them in the past. Very energetic sellers. I will take a look at the pics as soon as I can.

DH left for Florida this morning so I had to take youngest DD to school. Interuption in my normal daily routine can cause havoc. Never really have to deal with two DD's fighting in the morning. And fighting over clothes! x(

Anyway I will be doing Kickmax today and then going to see eldest DD in her Choir concert tonight.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi BBs!
Jill - the house looked nice from what I could tell. If I click on a picture will it enlarge it? I hope everything works out for you. Does it have an area for your workout space? What happened with the people that looked at your house on Friday?

Sat was spin class followed by yoga class. There are only 2 of us in the yoga class so it is like semi-private lessons. I was sweating and hurting more during yoga than spin. WOW!

Sun we went to the gym and I did the cross trainer and weights. THis morning was TurboJam cardio party remix!

Tonight I have a Brunch class at the Rec Dept which is watching someone cook things and then sampling!

Susan - I'm sorry to hear about your thyroid problems, but it's good that you have found a possible answer to your problems. It's amazing how many people do end up having thyroid issues. I agree - Thank God for Cathe for keeping us all in tip-top cardio condition!

Jill - I looked at the pics of your possible new house! That's great - good for you! It looks like it's in great shape, and ready to move into. I hope it all works out for you! :)

Laurie - I just did KickMax blasts and drills yesterday, and boy are my upper glutes feeling it today. I swear those drills get my glutes like nothing else.

Marie - Sounds like yoga was quite the workout! Have fun watching and sampling at the brunch class - sounds like a fun thing to do on a gloomy Monday.

I've been doing some kind of blast-from-the-past workouts lately. Yesterday my rotation called for a 20 minute Power Walk, but I had to be in the house for my DS, so I got my SLIDE out and an old slide video and slid around for 20 minutes. It was kind of fun! Then I did some of Kickmax as stated above.

Cheers - Sarah

Good morning,

Susan, it must be a relief to have answers on your health issues. I hope you can find the best ways to deal with your stress so it doesn't continue to make you feel lousy. Exercise really is such a relief for that stuff, I think.

Jill, congratulations on finding a house! It looks nice. I hope your house sells quickly. How exciting!

Hello to everyone else :)

I got up early to run today but after about two and a half miles was feeling weak, so I walked a little longer. We ate dinner early yesterday, so I think I just hadn't had enough fuel to keep going as long as I'd wanted to. But I don't feel too bad... I ran eight miles on Saturday, the longest distance I've ever done, so I am happy about that. I think I'm going to start adding a fifth running day each week to help increase my mileage. It may be a while before I want to go back to step!

Have a great day; I'm going to try to keep from falling asleep on my desk :)

Just got great news---the bus will pick Travis up, so I'm putting my offer in asap. Yay!! Thanks for all the well wishes. :)

I am asking for six months to sell my house. Doesn't really matter; if they get another offer and no contingency, they can bump me anyway. So obviously the sooner mine sells the better!

Sorry to be quick, but I have a lot to do now!

Just a quick checkin because I'm supposed to work thru my lunch today so I can leave early. So much for being salaried, huh? LOL

Only had to work 7 1/2 hours on Saturday instead of the 12 I was planning on for our OS upgrade so that was good news. It was so nice out I went for a 2 mile walk when I got home. Otherwise, it was a rest day.

Yesterday was GS Triceps and HSC. Big time DOMS in my tris today - ouch! This morning I did SH Chest + Step Blast seg. 1-3 (no challenge). How can anyone do full pushups after all those chest presses/flies in SH? I always have to drop to my knees on those. . .
