Hi there ladies! I hope you all had a nice weekend and enjoyed your Halloween! It was busy, cold and tiring here! Saturday DS has his last FB game and they won! They had lost their first 3 games and ended the season winning their final 4 games! Now basketball has started and they have their first tournament this Saturday! Saturday afternoon was spent cleaning, carving pumpkins and getting kids ready for trick-or-treating. Sunday was church/Sunday school and helping kids with homework/reports! Don't know if ya noticed that I did not write about my exercise... cause there wasn't any! So, I started the week off with a 3+ mile run and Pilates Advanced Power Sculpting. My goal is to lose 6 pounds by Thanksgiving....

We did take kids to see Harry Potter Friday night. It was good, but I was sad to see the "old guy" Dumbledor die. He was one of my favorite characters.

Hope you all have a great day!

Check back later- Susan

Morning Ladies,

Todays workout was Disc 19 Chest, Shoulders, Ticeps and I'm hoping to get in a run after work. Saturday I was able to get in a run. It was cold out, but the run felt great.

Susan, Glad you liked the movie, and those weekends can get so busy that exercise gets put on the back burner. I really have to force myself to get something in. :D

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Today I am doing RTTC and sometype of HIIT cardio.

Had to go to the DMV and register the car this morning after I dropped off DS11 backpack which he forgot at home.

Susan, you did have a busy weekend. Nice job with the run. Glad DS won the last football game. Basketball has started here now too. I have 5 pounds to lose, I am hoping it can be gone by Thanksgiving also. Wish I had a plan. The pounds go on so much quicker than they come off. I still havent figured out what my magic exercises are to lose weight. I am guessing it is more my eating.

Laurie, nice job getting in runs in the cold, something I thought you did not enjoy. I need motivation to run again. Just seems like a lot of work.

Lala, ended up doing STS plyo disk26 today for HIIT. Just did the plyo parts 2 times through with skipping the weighted leg exercises and it came to around 25 min.

Have a good day.

Good afternoon everybody. No walk today. My walking partner went home sick and it's really more for her than for me since I do other workouts and she doesn't.

Susan & Karen - I'd like to lose 7 pounds by Thanksgiving so we all have a goal to meet over the next few weeks. Karen - If you figure out what magic exercises work for weight loss, let me know. ;)

Laurie - Hope you have good running weather tonight.

DS had his last football game of the season on Saturday. Ended the season 4-4 which isn't bad considering both the main quarterback and the backup quarterback broke their arms this season. The main QB (Mark Chmura's son) broke it in the 1st game. The b/u QB broke it last week. I sure am glad DS doesn't play QB! :p We want to start the kids back at Dojo this week but DH just found out he's on call so we'll see if we can still do that.

Busy weekend. Here's how it went workout-wise:
Saturday - housework
Sunday - LowMax 1-6 + more housework + 2 mile walk
Monday - NYC Espresso Mix (warmup, 1 set each)

Had a few pieces of candy on Halloween but otherwise my eating over the weekend was good.

Morning Ladies,

This morning was BFBM, and I didn't get a run in yesterday so would still like to get that in. ;) Last night I had to stop at Office Max to get DD16 a new planner, her "friends" colored in all the Nov. blocks. So I get that and get on the freeway to go home. As soon as I get going, the cars ahead of me come to a dead stop. I still had a long way to get home, because there was no way to get off the freeway. Didn't get home until 5:30pm, and then had to get DD16 to her drivers ed class.

Karen, Nope I don't enjoy the cold weather runs, but lately I have been enjoying them, weird i know. :D I think that all of us go through these phases where we get tired of certain workouts. I was running a lot in the past, and then I just stopped. Now it is fun again.

Sue, Last night would have been a perfect night to run, just wish those other things wouldn't pop up. Guess that is why I have decided to wake up so early in the morning to get my workouts done. Otherwise life would get in the way to much! :D You are doing a great job, and I'm sure that you will get to your goal. ;) Are the kids glad to get back to working at the Dojo?

Have a great day!

HI,

Today I did Knockout Body and Total Cardio Kick, then stretchmax. Added 100 kb swings inbetween different parts when my heartrate wasn't up there. Didn't feel like a very good workout.

Laurie, I see DD is taking drivers ed. My DS can't get his permit because he needs his glasses and he can't find them to pass the eye test at the DMV. His appt. is not until the 10th and then waiting for the order, I don't know if he will get his behind the wheel in this quarter before he heads to a different class and has no more study hall to take it in. All comes down to responsibility again. To bad you had such a long trip home. I sure don't miss that part of a big city. Hope you get your run in today. I am hoping to run in the next few days.

Sue, nice workouts. Yea for the football team. I ate probably 80 mini candy bars from the kids trick or treating. Not going to lose any weight that way. When are your weigh ins. I think I missed that.

I am going to watch the BL tonight. We have gotten rid of all tv except BL and the Packer games. Other that that we are seeing what no tv here will do. It's been a week now.

Off to look for a job again. Have a great day.:)

Hi there! Today is BFBM followed by some lower body work. DH has not been feeling well the past couple days and I think he gave it to me. However, I am going to sweat it out of me! Just a cold a think... Tonight I too will be watching BL!

Laurie, that stinks about your ride home! It was chilly out this morning but I was just not up for running so I plan to do it again tomorrow (if it's not raining as predicted!)

Karen, any luck job hunting? It's hard! Hope your DS finds his glasses! My DS lost his too and we are still searching....

Hi Sue!
Hi Lala!
Hope all is well!

Good evening! I'm not so sure I like this daylight savings time...it's so dark :( But on the other hand it's nice to see the sun in the a.m.

This weekend I went for a run, Imax, and raked a lot of leaves! We visited my SIL and her husband in northern MN. He has Alzheimer and isn't even 60 :( It's so sad. But we had lots of fun. DD brought her BF and we met him for the first time. We can be an overwhelming lot, so she must like him a lot!

Yesterday did Bis, tris and shoulders disk 31. I was pleasantly surprised at the weight I could lift! Today was Imax 2 and tomorrow plyo legs 35.

Susan, you did have a busy weekend! Hope you don't get sick again. Both DD17 and I are feeling something...tired, headachy, etc. When I'm done here I'm going to bed!

Sue, Hope you're able to get the Dojo in. You had some good workouts. I didn't eat candy this weekend, but TONS of other junk...won't weight myself til I know that i'll like what I see

Karen, you are a good mom. I know of lots of parents who would do whatever so that Jr. could get his license. Don't know about you, but it can be hard to stick to your guns! HOw's the no TV thing going? Did you end up turning it off during the Packer game;);)

Laurie, that traffic has to be frustrating. You could move north and avoid it :D
Have a good evening and Wed.

Hi,

Today I am doing some total body workout and some HIIT.

Susan, hope you dont get sick. What lower body did you end up doing yesterday?

Lala, I didnt turn off the Packer game. It got good toward the end. Are you lifting more weight than last time you did meso 3? The Daylight savings thing is good for the mornings but not so good at night. I suppose by the time you get home its almost dark. Glad you had a good visit up north. Nice workouts you got in. Everyone is getting used to no t.v.

For some reason my apostrophe doesnt work so its not that I am not putting them in, it is just they wont go in without taking me to the bottom of my page.

Have a good day.

Morning Ladies,

Disc 20 Legs was my morning workout, and last night I finally got in my run. :D My legs are really talking to me this morning!

Karen, Yep DD16 is finally taking her drivers ed classes. Guess that is what happens when you start doing your homework! ;) I like doing Bootcamp Premix #1 as an Hiit workout. Each of those intervals is 1 min., so you can rest for 1 min. after. Works pretty well, and you can run through it twice if you want. ;) I might have to try that no TV thing for myself. When I'm tired it is so easy to just sit and watch. :D

Susan, How are you feeling today, did you sweat that cold out of you? This morning was another cold one, did you get a chance to run?

Lala, Hmmm move up North, oh ya! been there done that! :D I guess I have turned into a city girl after all this time. :D I know I could handle it, but I think my DH would not! He has grown up in the city all his life. ;) Hope you start feeling better also.

Have a great day!

Hi!:D It was a cold one this morning but I did manage to run. It was not pretty but oh well! My DH slept horribly last night so, I also slept horribly! He was coughing, sneezing, hacking, tossing... Drove me nuts! I woke to a worse sore throat and stuffy nose. :( I was going to do a new DVD I got tonight (Mindy Mylrea's Kickbutt Bootcamp) but I really need to get leaves raked! So, first I will rake, then we'll see how I feel! Right now I'd rather go take a nap! ;)

The Anytime Fitness club opened up here. I thought they'd have a "grand opening" or something but nothing yet. I saw on the web where I can get a 1 week free trial so I think I'll try that! I just want to use their weight equipment. I thought I'd go as soon as I got off work and before I pickup kids. That gives me just over an hour....

Karen, I added on Pilates Buns and Thighs last night. Did you watch BL? Glad to see someone is finally gone!!

Laurie, yep, I ran and it wasn't too cold this morning! Ruby was not in the "running mood" however and made it kind of tough for me!

Hi lala!
Hi Sue!

Have a good night! Susan

Hi! This am was plyo legs 35. Wow!! Karen, I can see how that would be great as an HIIT. Do you rest in between? For how long?

Susan, ditto on the leaves :( I still have lots left to do . I rake when I get home til it gets dark. Weren't you thinking about getting a job at the new gym? Are you still considering it?

Laurie, Bootcamp as HIIT--good idea! And after the leg workout and run I can imagine what your legs are saying  No TV...ok, after NCIS, Fringe, 24, Monk, Psych...wow..I guess I actually watch a lot...more than I thought

Hi Lala! Well, it was 7:30 before I got all the raking done!:p Decided to go back out after supper, in the dark, with the house lights on! At least it's done!! Yes, I did look into getting a job at Anytime but the owner says that for now he will be the solo employee. He is looking for certified personal trainers though! I told him I could be one if he wanted to pay for it!;) Didn't really jump on that offer! LOL!!

Good Morning,

Yesterday I ended up doing KCM 30 min to fitness both sections of weights with cardio intervals inbetween. Did some stairs, jump roping, burpees, kettlebell swings etc. Today I need to do some cardio. Still debating what I want to do.

Susan, nice job getting all your raking done. We only have one section left. I watched BL and I to was happy that someone went home. I have only done that Mindy workout one time. I just don't click with her. Let me know how you like the gym. Those ones that are open 24 hours don't need a lot of staffing. We have one here and people just use their cards to get in and workout. Nice job getting your run in.

Lala, I rested as long as it took me to skip past to the next section and then the clock still gave me 30 sec. more. You could pause and rest longer or shorten it up. I used my rest to fast forward etc.

Laurie, nice workouts. Bootcamp is a good idea for HIIT. I have used that before. I forget things though. Your are getting some tough workouts in. You should have rock hard legs.

Hi Sue.

Have to get busy. Take care and enjoy your day.

Hello there!

Today I am going to try Mindy's Bootcamp but only 60 of the 90mn.

Karen, I am not going to do her step portion because I think her cuing stinks! She's awful and she seems to think it's funny! I could break an ankle!:p I like her hi/lo stuff and strength training but not her stepping! You had quite a tough workout yesterday! A great variety! How big is the kettle bell you use? I want to buy one but I don't know what weight I should go with....

Throat was a bit worse this morning and I didn't sleep well again last night. Hoping tonight will be better!

Have a good day ladies! Susan

Morning Ladies,

This morning was KM's 30MTF Kickboxing #1 with weighted gloves and STS Ab Circuit Stability Ball. I don't think that I will ever be able to do a one legged pike on the ball.

Susan, Sorry to hear that you had a bad night, those dang DH's and there constant noise. :D I really enjoyed the gym membership when I had it. Nice to use those different machines. Cami gets that way once in a while too, I have been only doing my interval runs with her lately. That works good, because she gets to sniff when I am on the walking portion. :D

Lala, I like some of the same TV shows you mentioned. I always laugh at the guys from Psych. :D On the Bootcamp premix I think the rest periods are about 5 seconds. At least that is what it felt like. I ran through that premix with just the breaks they give you, but if you wear a stopwatch you could pause and continue to make it Hiit. I saw the front page of a mag FitnessRX yesterday, and it had an article about HiT now what is that? I don't know if I need to know. Something new I'm sure. :D

Karen, Great workout you made for yourself. ;) I will say that my butt was really sore this morning. :D :D But doing the kickboxing helped with that. I can actually sit at my desk right now.

Have a great day!

Good Morning,

Today I am doing HSC. I think I will do upper premix, lower premix and then cardio premix. Yesterday I ended up doing Extreme Kettlebell with Keith Weber and the 12 min quick workout from Lauren- took out any weight work and made it cardio in the Lauren one.

Susan, How are you feeling today? Did Bootcamp go well yesterday? I started with a 15 but within a week went to a 20. You would probably want a 20 especially for the swing moves. If you are using mostly for cardio factor you could probably even start higher like 25 or so. I can not use more than 15-20 on a lot of the strength moves.

Laurie, still having a hard time following KCM on her kickbox. I have no idea why. What was your calorie burn on Knockout Body the other day? I have a problem with my leg straight out to the side and rotating in the ball workout. Interval runs with the dog, what a good idea. Still some sniffing time for them.

Hi to the rest of you BBs. Enjoy your weekend and stay healthy.

Happy Friday! This week seemed to go by fast!:) This morning I went for a run w/ Ruby and later I want to get on the elliptical for an Extreme Heart Rate Interval workout. Tomorrow DS has his first BBall tournament and I have to have him there at 8:30a and they play until 1pm! DH will be hunting so it's just me and my boy! He promised this would be the only one he'd miss... He better get that buck soon! DS then has a B-day party to go to tomorrow night. We need to shop for the gift today some time!

The weather looks like it's going to be beautiful this weekend! Looking forward to getting the last of the yard work done for the season! Got to wash windows too( hate that job!). I need to take DD to get a new winter coat as well.

Karen, thanks for the input on the KB's. I had lifted a 15# at the store and thought it might be a little light. I have a coupon to Play-It-Again for $10 off. I know they sell the new ones there for about $30. Just might have to use that coupon this weekend! I did sleep better last night and had a bit extra energy this morning. I thought Mindy's Bootcamp was ok. She just has awful cuing. She takes very little time to instruct! I might attempt the step portion over the weekend.

Laurie, I have been looking at KCM workouts. Thinking of getting either the Kickbox one or the Cardio Blast one...

Hi Lala!
Hi Sue!

Hope you all have a great day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Disc 21 Back & Biceps is done, and I'm hoping to get in a run after work. Also would like to get in a short yoga.

Karen, You have a tough workout going there. ;) My calorie burn for the Knockout was 533. I was planning on an interval run for tonight, so will see if she want so come. My DH says that when I don't take her she is doing her doggie whine until I get home.

Susan, Those days that you need to wait for those tournaments to end can be long. I remember when DD16 was swimming, you basically seemed to be there all day. I don't have KCM's Cardio Blast, but I have heard that it is good so I'm planning on getting it at some point. I really like the Kickbox workout, but Karen is right, there is a learning curve to some of her moves. I sometimes have a problem with her a Ilaria with their there kick pattern. Just something I need to get used to. :D

Tonight DD12 is going to see Stomp, so she isn't going to be around tonight. Tomorrow night DD16 is babysitting, so we will have only one child for the next two nights. :D Nothing interesting for me, just some housework. :(

Have a great day!
