BUFF BADGERS 10/6 - 10/10

So I realized that I didn't mention what workout I did today! :D BBS Timesaver #4. This is the KPC and Shoulders.

Hi gals,

Today I did ME and 2 mile run on the highest incline on the treadmill. I ran at 4.2 mph only and it took me 30 min. I guess I need more work on that.

Off for two days while in Waukesha area for the wedding.

Laurie, yes, definitely take pictures so we can see the dress you picked out. Glad DD finished so well and you got to at least see her get the medal. I guess you can't be every place at one time. Enjoy you daily hugs and I am glad you DH is back safely.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend. It is suppose to be beautiful. By Wed. the temps are supposed to be cold again.

Take care.:D

Susan - You are so sweet. Thank you for your words of support. I'm afraid my issues with work will go past this week. I'll just have to do the best I can do. I, too, do the little trick of sneaking in crunches and squats and things when I'm watching tv (or even brushing my teeth!) if I haven't had time for a decent workout. Every little bit helps I guess. I just need to focus on making better food choices if my workouts are going to suffer. Time to stock up on the sugarless gum and carrot sticks! Sorry to hear your DH feels unappreciated at work. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case more often than not. I'm fortunate to have a boss that recognizes my hard work even if she frustrates the heck out of me at times. I REALLY want a day off. I have a day off October 31 which I'm really looking forward to but I'm afraid that'll be it until Christmas. I may even have to work Thanksgiving weekend. :( Hope not.

Karen - Thanks for the hugs. You're right - walking is better than nothing. Maybe I'll see you around Waukesha this weekend! :D

Laurie - No, his name isn't Derrick. :) You mean there's more than ONE bad project manager out there?! LOL We've had 4 already so I guess the answer is yes. Can't wait to see the picture of you and your DH all gussied up for the wedding. Boy, are they lucking out with good weather on Saturday. This time of year it could have been cold and damp.

Dani - Have fun with Legs and Back. How are those pullups coming along?

Hi Lala! I'd say something in Spanish but I don't know anything other than how to count to 10 (Sesame Street).

This morning I did Push Pull upper body and abs. I think it's only 15 min. or so of actual workout time but it took me a half hour with all the equipment switching. Felt good to get some lifting in. DS has another football game tomorrow. DD is having a 13 1/2 bd party (we missed giving her a 13 one) tomorrow night. Going indoor rock climbing so all I have to worry about is cake, snacks and drinks.

Have a great weekend everyone! Get outside and enjoy the weather.

HI ladies!!

Laurie, you have been missed!:) I hope you have a great time at the wedding and I'll look forward to seeing those pictures! Congrats to your DD for doing so well in CC.

Sue, at least the weekend is here and you can get a bit of a break! Please enjoy yourself and relax!! Where are you doing the rock climbing at?

Karen, have fun at your wedding as well!

Dani, hope you had a good workout! How's that little girl of yours?

Hi Lala!

Today I walked Ruby for 35mn. DH left on his trip at 6am. Hope he has fun. They are expecting snow in Wyoming tomorrow! I am walking in our Homecoming parade today with my DS's football team. Throwing out candy to the kids. The Varsity football players have the younger football players walk with them, since they are "the future". The boys love it! So, I'll be walking a few miles there too. My BIL is over right now, putting up the doors in the basement for us. So, if all goes well they will be out of my way for my workout tomorrow morning! I am thinking of either Step Blast or Rythmic Step since those are my 2 faves! I just hope he doesn't run into a problem and not be able to finish!:(

Take care all!! Susan

Back again! Well, ya know how I said I hoped that nothing would happen to stop the BIL from finishing the doors??? Well, he slit his wrist open and had to go to the ER and get 15 stitches and just missed his tendon by a hair!:( Guess he's coming by sometime next week to try to finish!

Susan:p

HAPPY FRIDAY :D:D
yesterday was GS chest and tris and this am GS floor work and PLB floor work. Am about the take the dog for his walk and it is so nice out I may do some raking.

Homecoming weekend and it was a crazy day at school!

Sue, I'm glad you have support from your boss. The eating thing is so common when we are tired and frustrated. Sometimes I just make myself do something. And walking is a good thing! The rock climbing party sounds great!

Laurie, looking forward to seeing the dress (and you!). You must be so proud of DD15! And yea, I'm not looking forward to keeping an eye on the "dirty dancing"...or worse :(

Susan, so sorry about your BIL. First off, glad that his cut isn't any worse and secondly...I really hope that you can get your workout area back;)

Dani, Good job on the pushups. I don't like them but I do them!

Karen, have fun at your wedding!

Susan! OMG on your BIL slitting his wrist! I'm glad he's okay. Those kind of accidents give me the willies. I still remember when my dad cut off the tip of his finger on a power saw. I was about 6 and everyone started rushing around real upset and didn't tell me what was going on. I thought my dad was going to die.

Lala - You're right. I should find something to do to distract myself. I used to do a lot of crafts - knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint - and that kept my hands busy and my mind occupied. I used to do little add-ons at night, too - maybe an ab segment or a CTX upper body part - even a walk around the big block my house in on which is exactly a mile - and that always helped. I was slimmer then.
