Hello there ladies! I hope you all enjoyed your weekends! Mine was pretty good! Saturday I went for a nice long walk and ran errands. Sunday was church & Sunday school and then I got on the elliptical for 60mn. Today the kids don't have school so we are going Halloween costume shopping. My DH leaves for his hunting trip on Friday so there are a couple things he needs me to pick up for him.... I went for a 40mn walk and will be doing Pilates Power Sculpting in just a bit.

Susan, enjoy looking for Haloween costumes. Good workouts over the weekend. Where is DH hunting?

Sue, glad you are home safe and sound. Congrats to your DD and your family. How great she is finally coming into her own-the person only you could see. I am glad things are going so well. You have every right to be proud.

Susan - Thanks for the reminder (costume shopping). Have to go looking before they run out of stuff. It's not as much fun as it was when they were little and you got to decide what they wore but still needs to be done. I used the elliptical at the hotel and was AMAZED at what a good workout I got. Burned 350 calories in 30 minutes - yowza! :D

Karen - Thanks for the nice words and reading my blog. :D I had to hide what I was typing from DD since she was in the room. Don't want her to get a big head and all. ;) Wow! That was an awesome workout you had this morning. I tell myself I should do one of those on the weekends and then the weekend comes and I end up doing something quick because I have so many things to do. One of these days. . .

Laurie - Congrats to DD setting a new PR. She is doing so AWESOME!!

Sorry I was MIA on Friday. I was still fuming from a couple of threads on the OD forum. It just kills me how great everyone thinks this person is when I think she's a real witch.

I've been basically lazy this getting back from Atlanta. Also ate a lot of junk over the weekend after a week of eating well. :mad: Wish I would stop doing that! On Friday I slept in since I got home late. Friday night I felt like vegging out and catching up on my recorded shows (Project Runway, Top Design, ER). On Saturday I did 4DS HIS in its entirety. On Sunday I did 4DS Shoulders. Was going to do LIS cardio but I was either busy or later when I had the time I was lazy. Can't win. This morning was LIS cardio plus added on HIS finished combos and 200 walking lunges. Hope to do a walk or something tonight.

DS won his football game on Saturday 18-0. They are now 5 & 0! Woo hoo! These boys are hot. DS almost got a sack but wasn't quite fast enough.

Hi All! Today was 4DS BSB I'm doing the Arpil 07 rotation. Feels good!

Sue, I'll have to get over to read your blog. Ellipticals do give a good workout. And don't feel bad for eating poorly over the weekend...you did exercise, and things will work out. But I really do know how you feel!

Susan, So you have all weekend to yourseld with DH hunting? What plans do you have?

Karen, I'm not sure if I've ever don that workout, but sounds like a good one!

Good Morning everyone!

Today will be a busy day so I thought I better check-in while I could! I need to get to work a little early since we didn't have school yesterday. I have some stuff to do today that should have been done yesterday! Woke up with a very sore neck! Took Ruby for a nice walk but every time I had to turn around to look at her - Ouch! I need a massage! :( We found DS's Star Wars costume yesterday but could not find DD's gothic gown. We had found it online but no one has it in store. Thankfully after doing a lot of searching online I was able to find it $15 dollars cheaper than originally expected! So, hopefully she'll like it when it gets here. They do allow returns up to Oct. 31st. Confirmation class was enlightening last night! The children learned about the 4th Commandment (my favorite) Honor Thy Father and Mother! Hope she was paying attention!:p

You all have a great day! I have to take DS to Tae Kwon Do tonight while DH heads to DePere to get some hunting boots!

Good Morning,

Today I am doing KPC/LG premix. I did this one last week and really like it.

DS won his second flag football game last night. I think their record is 2-4. He is doing a great job though. DS last cross country meet is tonight in Amery. We can't go because of conferences.

Sue, it's great your DS team is having a winning season. Good job getting your workouts in even though you are very busy.

Susan, glad you found your costumes and even saved some money. Sorry your neck is out. Do you go have massages sometimes? I've never had one.

lala, don't you just love the 4DS workouts. They are so much fun. What does that rotation work on?

Dragged DD along for a 1 mile walk last night.. This morning was 4DS bis, tris and rounds 1-2 of legs.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA. I was soooo tired yesterday and this weekend. I had to work on Saturday so it was a 6 day week. I also think my body is trying to fight off what everyone else has. I am thankful I have not been super sick yet.

Yesterday was Core Syn. and today was Cardio X. I can't believe we are going into phase 2 with p90x. So now I am going to increase cardio because I almost feel like I am losing cardio endurance doing this workout. Plus not to be mean, my wonderful dh still pauses alot with the workout which irks me a bit. I try to keep it inside so this is me venting to a neutral source. I am glad he is doing this and he has really trimmed down.

Karen congrats on you DS flag football game.

Susan I hope the costumes works out.

Sue welcome back and have fun at your power lunch.

Good day ladies! Actually a rather gloomy and dreary Fall day here! We had another "walk to school" day so I walked Ruby this morning and then I walked with my son to school. Yes, Lala, I am still getting all those steps in! LOL!:D

Today will be another busy one. After work DH needs me to run a couple errands in order to get him some stuff for his trip. He is going to Wyoming Elk hunting and leaves tomorrow night. This evening we have to have him all packed cause he needs to drop his stuff off at his friends house.

DS is doing so well at Tae Kwon Do! He is so focused and attentive. You'd never guess he has ADHD!

Neck is still a little sore today. No, Karen, I don't usually get massages,but I sure could use one! My back is sore from a bunch of lifting and hauling at work yesterday! It sucks getting old! :p

Good Morning,

Today I am doing Power Hour and a short run.

DS12 took the top 20 in his last cross country meet of the season. He got a nice medal. He wore it all night.

lala, KPC is a great workout. How did the small group go?

Dani, hope you are back to 100% soon. It's great you are so patient-at least he is doing something. Vent here all you like.

Sue, is DD hurt from being dragged on your walk?:) What exactly is a power lunch?

Kids are off school tomorrow and the boys want to get a football game going with some friends. We shall see if they clean up their room and get their schoolwork done first.

Heading to Waukesha/Milwaukee area this weekend for my DH nieces wedding. Leaving Fri. afternoon. It's a no kids wedding-strange so we have to leave the kids with my brother and sister-in-law. They will be busy. I am just glad they are around that area to watch them.

Well work can start to slow down for me. :D

Had a great weekend, but it was a lot of running around for me. I had to cart DD15 to her friends house for pictures, then run her to the school for the dance. At 11pm had to pick her up again. On Sunday I spent my day at the mall and managed to find a dress for the wedding we are going to next weekend. Oldest DD has another cc meet tomorrow, so I want to get out of work early. DH is in Iowa until tomorrow, and I will be glad when he finally gets home!

This mornings workout was BBS Timesaver #5 which is the leg/ab workout for that series. Was suppose to do 5 miles of speedwork, will see how I feel when I get home tonight! :D

Opened our local paper to the sports section, and there was a picture of DD15 in her last race. Will have to cut that one out for her to keep! :D

Karen, Congrats to your DS for his finish! I can imagine that he was very proud of that metal. :D It is suppose to be a great weekend as far as weather goes, so the wedding shouldn't get rained on. The wedding we are going to is a no-kids one too. We still have to figure out what to do with our kids. :(

Susan, Sports of any kind are so great for kids with any form of ADD or ADHD. They wear themselves out! LOL :D I'm not suprised that he is doing so well, I think they can get hard on themselves though for not doing better. :D

Lala, I'm doing fine, just need my work load to slow down a bit! :D

Dani, Take care of yourself. Vent away, that is what we are here for! :)

Sue, LOL about the OD threads, I think I know who you are talking about. Feel the same way! :D I have gotten to the point of not even going to OD anymore. And that is very sad, because I'm sure I am missing some threads that actually are useful! :)

Today was GS standing legs and a 2 mile run (jog!). Went to the sports med doc this aft for the hip pain. She said I have both ITband issues and piriformus, that hopefully can be dealt with by stretching. Also recommended another teacher (CC coach) who is good at gait analysis, so I'll email him and see if he might have time to work with me on that.

Susan, Hope your neck is doing better. And nice that DS is doing so well with Tae Kwon Do. Any thoughts of taking it up with him ;)

Karen, Congrats to DS! What is the occasion for a day off of school? Our first one is Oct. 30. That's a bit away :( But sounds like the kids have some good plans

Hi Laurie! so DD15 just keeps on running! Nice. Looks like you had lots of running around with DD this past weekend. This coming is our homecoming. and as I mentioned I'm chaparoning :eek::eek:

Hi Everyone,

Today was chest, shoulders and tri's. It was a new workout for hubby and me. I have to say we did alot of pushups. DH really pushed himself, sometimes I think a little to hard. At least he is smart enough to bring down the weights when it is to much. Men!!!

Today I did spinning with CC8. It really is a great workout and great music. I am so glad I found these.

The football game is going on outside. Lots of kids having fun.

Susan, I think we posted at the same time yesterday. I didn't see your post until this morning. Did you get your DH off on his trip? Glad DS is liking and doing well in Tae Kwando.

Laurie, good to hear from you again. Did you get your 5 miles in yesterday? Cool there is a picture of DD in the paper. Definitely a keepsake.

Lala, school is for teacher in-service. Already had conferences and now 2 days off for in-service. Hope you can find time to work with the CC coach and get some relief.

Dani, good job on the workouts. I guess that's why P90X and I didn't click because I don't like pushups or pullups and there are a ton of both. I know they are good for you but oh well.

Dani - Good job to you and DH for keeping with P90X. I was a little worried when you said DH was taking the whole week off from working out that he might quit altogether. Seems like that's how it is sometimes. Love your new Meez! Is that you now or after P90X? ;)

Lala - Good news that all you need is stretching. So it sounds like you're really getting into running. (Anything more than 4.0 mph is considered running in my book. ;)) I've always wondered about my gait. And my breathing. I've never been taught how to properly breathe. Let us know how it goes.

Laurie - Is DH back from Iowa? So what does your dress look like? Did you get your speedwork in? Makes me tired thinking about it.

Karen - LOL at dragging DD on my walk! Maybe I should carry her on my back for some extra intensity.

Susan - TKD is excellent for kids with ADHD. Practically all the kids in my daughter's ADD/ADHD group are taking it. I agree with whoever said it - you should give it a go, too!

Had another meeting over lunch yesterday but at least they fed us this time (Panera's). Work has really been affecting me in a bad way. I don't feel like doing anything when I get home at night but sitting on the coach and eating junk. Last week at class I did great. Now, back at work and under the gun, I'm back in the same boat I was when I left. This project is so ugly and there's so much finger pointing going on. The consulting firm who's doing our implementation is blaming us; we're blaming them. I'm biased, of course, but I blame them more. We've gone through 4 project managers and the current one is starting to tick off my manager which means he might not be around much longer. We're trying to negotiate a discount on their fee (we're talking millions of dollars here) because they haven't given us what they promised and the quality of work has been bad. They even pointed the finger at me saying they needed to add in more Basis weeks because I wasn't "picking things up" fast enough. My boss defended me on this at least. It makes me mad because I was told over and over that we (my consultant and I) would go over things so many times it would become second nature to me. That didn't happen. When he's here (and he's been gone 3 weeks now), he's too busy fighting fires to sit down and do "knowledge exchange" (how do you like that buzz word?). The guy who is coordinating the consultants is an idiot. He sits down with me to ask the most bizarre questions that aren't even in my realm of responsibility, talks to himself awhile, thanks me for my time and then just gets up and walks away. He didn't even know that you can't restore an individual client - you have to restore the entire database. This is SAP 101 - very BASIC knowledge in other words! If he doesn't understand that, I'm wondering what else he doesn't understand. Yeah, and I'm the one who's not picking this up quickly enough. :mad:

Okay, that feels better to have that off my chest. I just wanted to explain why my workouts have been crappy and I keep complaining about my weight. This morning I should have done a good heart pumpin' cardio but went for a walk instead with my new Cathe vest. I think I just don't want to think that early in the morning. I should drag the Nordic Track out of the closet and do that instead. The only thing is that it's so loud. Hmmm. . .Maybe if I do it with my iPod instead of watching TV it won't be so bad. Then it's just the swish-swish noise of the pedals.

Okay, I hope I didn't bring everyone down. That wasn't my intent. You guys are so supportive and I don't think I've said it but it really means a lot to me. Thanks! :D
 
Hello ladies!

This week has just been too darn busy and my workouts have also been bad. Yes, I walk every morning and to work and back but I have not had an actual "workout" this week! I have been throwing in squats, ab work and stuff if I am watching TV, which is seldom! DH leaves I think, tonight or very early tomorrow morning to Wyoming. Busy trying to get him all packed, and running DS whereever he needs to be. Tonight it's football practice!

Sue, I am so sorry work has been so tough for you! You can come here and vent all you want! My DH has a job where he is un-appreciated and worked too hard and he too is so frustrated. I am glad he is getting a week away from it. Sounds like you could use some down time yourself. Don't worry about missing a few worouts this week. You know you are a dedicated exerciser and I believe once things settle down you'll be right back to your old self! I walk every morning, simply cause I like being the only person out at that time. It's so quiet and peaceful. It starts my day off nicely! :) Take care of yourself!!

So sorry I have been missing, but I wanted to get out of work early yesterday so I could see DD15 run in her cc meet last night. I just missed seeing her finish the race. I was there to see her receive her 3rd place metal, and see her and her teammates receive the plaque for 1st place. :D

DH got home from his conference last night, and this morning I was able to enjoy him having a coughing fit! :rolleyes: But I did receive my daily hug, so that is always nice. :D

Sue, Dang on the work load! Can't wait for that "knowledge exchange" buzz word to start making it's way into our work. :eek: You can just vent away to us as much as you need to. With that type of stress it is very hard to get motivated to workout at night! You still have that going around your brain, and it isn't getting a rest. :confused: Have a good KB workout this weekend, and think of this project manager while you work! :eek: His name wouldn't happen to be Derrick would it? Oh that one is from my work! :D :D :D LOL! I'm planning on taking a pic of DH and myself at the reception, so I'm hoping to have a pic for all of you on the dress! I just hope Lake Michigan is calm that night! :D

Susan, You must be ready for the sport season to end just like I am. DD15 will be done with cc at the end of this month. I will be happy when I don't have to run to the HS every day! :eek:

Karen, Yep I did manage to get that 5 miles in. Felt good! It still amazes me how sore my legs feel after running as fast as I can for only a 1/2 mile. :D The rest time feels great though! :D Sounds like a great time was had by the kids yesterday!

Dani, LOL about your DH pushing himself on the P90X workouts. At time I found myself doing the same thing. :D Has his endurance improved from the start of the program?

Lala, Hope you enjoy the chaperoning! My DD said that one of her friends was grinding at the dance. I even said I thought that wasn't allowed! :confused: She said it wasn't, but her friend was in the middle, and couldn't be seen that well! DD thought it was gross! LOL!:eek:
