BUFF BADGERS 10/27 - 10/31

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day! I did GS BSB, walked the dog (twice!), raked leaves, skated, then did the inside chores. So as I sit here I am munching (way too much)on yougurt cheerios :D They are nummy!

Karen, teeth will tend to shift even after the braces are off, obviously not with as much force as they did with the braces, but enough that it can be noticed. It´s just the nature of the beast, I guess :(

Sue, Thanks for the movie critique. We´re always looking for good ones to watch. Yea, I LOVE my sleep. Really need at least 8 hours.

Susan, now you can prove that working out to Cathe really helps with lifting and carrying all that meat!

Dani, hope you enjoyed your rest week ;) I actually kind of look forward to mine, guess it´s my body telling me it´s time!

Hi Laurie! Enjoy your days off!

Happy Halloween!

My DD had a sleep over last night and kept me up a tad too late so my walk was not as long as usual (25mn). My DD has to go have a shot this morning and then I need to take DH's car in for an oil change. Oh, yes, of course later there is trick or treating! I also need to squeeze in my exercises, hopefully when I get home from the errands. I have a lot of yard work that I need to do as well but that may have to wait until tomorrow!

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Susan

Goog morning everyone!

Susan - Are you sore today from carrying the meat? Sounds like you have a busy day.

Dani - Glad to see you're back to your workouts. Is DH still doing P90X with you?

Lala - Are you on vacation today or do you attend the WEAC convention? Sorry if that is a dumb question but I assumed all teachers went to that.

Karen - When my DD first got braces I spoke to a co-worker who just got her braces off a couple years ago and said her Orthodontist told her "The day you stop wearing your retainer is the day you accept the fact your teeth will move" so I guess it is for life. She only wears her retainer for a couple hours once a week though. She says the longer in-between she waits, the harder it is to get the retainer back on.

Hi, Laurie! I'm betting you're doing something fun today with the girls. And if you're not, you should be! ;)

Last night I did 4DS HIS cardio + GS Chest/Triceps superset. After that DS and I watched Wednesday night's episode of Top Design and The Biggest Loser contestants on Oprah. I've never watched much of the show (it drags on too long for my taste) but I was amazed to hear they workout 6-7 hours a day on only 1200 calories! I'm amazed they're not all keeling over from exhaustion. I couldn't workout for an HOUR on only 1200 calories! Some of the contestants have gained back the weight which is to be expected since they lose it so quickly.

Have a splendid Halloween everyone! I plan on raking leaves and getting my oil changed. We have Trick or Treat later today, too. I got out the candy last night and am wondering if I have enough? DS is trick-or-treating for UNICEF and dressing up as Elvis! Better get going so I can get a workout in first.

No, I am not too sore today. Must be in better shape than I thought. Lower back is just a tad sore, will have to stretch it out later.

My DH had braces for 3 years when he was about 22 yrs old but never had to wear a retainer afterwards. Must depend on the individual.

Today I mowed the lawn for 2 hrs or so  and then went skating with DD20. Am really tired now! Sue, our school district has implemented a new policy this year re: WEAC. We go in early each week for Professional Development meetings and that time makes up for the WEAC conference, so that is now optional. Previously we either went to the convention or worked in school.
