Morning Ladies,

Well we are all home safe and sound, but tired and full of way to much food. ;) We had a great time, and it was a costume optional party. I would say that about 1/3 of the people dressed up. There where 134 relatives that came, and I was surprised because there was a snow storm on Friday night. One of my sisters went in the ditch. And then they could only go about 25 miles per hour after that.

This morning I got in Disc 16 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, and this one is at 75% of max so you are really pushing yourself. My workout was delayed for a bit, because I came downstairs and saw a mouse running around. So I just walk upstairs and let DH know that we had a mouse in the house. I go back down, because it really isn't going to bother me, until I see two mice! At this point these little critters are running all over the place, so I hop up on my bench and DH comes downstairs and wacks them dead. MY HERO! :D

Susan, How is your DD feeling, I hope she didn't have to go to the dr.? My DD is home sick right now, but it is because she is coughing up a lung. She just has a cold, probably from all the running in the rain this past week. I also have a list of DVD's I want to get, but the best part is they are coming out around Christmas. I think presents are in order. ;)

Karen, Did you have a good weekend, dang was it cold up north!

Have a great day!

Good Morning,

Today I did Lauren ultimate body sculpt and Dynamic Stretch with Janis Saffell.

DD6 has been sick all weekend. 104 fever last night and that croupy cough. Stuffed nose and stomach ache. Probably the flu. Hope no one else here gets it.

Laurie, where did you go over the weekend? Sounds like you had a good time. Did you dress up in a costume? Glad your sister was o.k. Where was the snow storm? Good you could get those mice so quickly. They are really fast. DH must be quick. Hope DD feels better soon. How did she do?

Hi to the rest of you Buff Badgers. Hope you are all well and staying warm. What happened to Oct. weather?

Have a good day.

Hello!:D Today I ran with Ruby for 3 miles! She did so well! She didn't pull or run me into any shrubs! We are going to do it again tomorrow! I also hope to get in Advanced Pilates on the Ball tonight.

Laurie, sounds like you had an awesome party! Hope your parents enjopyed it! That stinks about the weather though! Glad your sis is okay! Sorry to hear about your DD. I did take mine to the Dr., on Friday and she was diagnosed with a "bad virus". Today she just had a bad cough so she's at school.

Karen, your DD is sick too? What is going on here? Hope she gets over that nasty cough!

My weekend was busy but I snuck in C&W and then Ruby and I went for a 60mn walk yesterday afternoon.

Lots of running around to do after school! Hunting season is here so DH is out there every evening! I hope he gets that buck soon!:p I could use his help!

Have a good night! Susan

Laurie - Sounds like a fun weekend except for the relative going into the ditch part. LOL on the mouse story! I've never seen a mouse in our house but if I did I'd do the same thing! Good job with STS. Sounds like you really pushed yourself.

Karen - Hope DD6 is feeling better. Sounds like a nasty flu. My DD had to be picked up on Thursday from school and missed Friday. It might have been the H1N1. She had all the symptoms but the Dr. only wanted to see her if her fever got really high or she had trouble breathing. Thankfully she didn't have those problems. Today DS is home sick. This has been just a terrible cold/flu season so far!

Susan - Good job, Ruby! Is it still dark out when you run? It's dark now when I drive to work which is depressing. Leaving later tonight so it's dark now, too!

I did a lot of workouts over the weekend. Two other ladies and I are doing our own version of Biggest Loser. We're going to weigh in Dec. 21 with periodic checkins every 2-3 weeks where if you gain since the last checkin you have to pay $5 more into the pot. We all put in $20 to start and winner takes all. We started last Friday and I've been working out like crazy, watching those calories and pounding water. :) It's not so much that I want to win the money as it is about feeling good about myself again and fitting into my clothes. The low point for me was reaching my pregnancy weight. . . and not being pregnant! Yikes!   My boss is one of the ladies doing BL with me and we walked 30 min. over lunch. On those days we walk I may not be able to checkin or will checkin late.

So let's see if I can remember what I did. . .
Friday night - Rhythmic Step segments 1-3 (skip challenge)
Saturday - Results Upper + 3 mile walk/jog + housework/yardwork
Sunday - Cardio Kicks up to the drills + Leslie mile
Monday - Push Pull + 30 min. walk at lunch

Off to get a haircut. Seems like I'm always getting my hair cut. . .

Oh Sue that sounds great! I wish you the best of luck! You sound happier to me!:D Glad to hear it! Great workouts this weekend! My DH was in a BL contest at his job. He did it just to lose 10 pounds and that's what he did! One guy was in the running to take it all ($250). He had lost about 60 pounds, but the night before the weigh-in an old friend came to town and took him out! He lost the contest by just 1.5 pounds!

Yes, it is dark when we are out but that's okay, there are a lot of street lights on!

Laurie, if there was a hint of a mouse in my basement I would FREAK OUT!!:eek:

Hi! Well, my rest week is over :( ! so back to work! I´m doing cathe´s october rotation so today was disc 1 and tomorrow legs disc 17. It´s an undulating rotation, so we´ll see how that goes.

This weekend we celebrated my bday, eating at Perkins, eating ( a LOT of)the carrot cake that DH make me every year and going dancing! It was a fun time!

Laurie, sounds like a fabulous weekend...minus the snow and ditch incident! You sound very calm, cool, and collected re: the mice. I simply scream!:D:eek:

Sue, good luck to you!! And you must go in pretty early to work if it´s still dark out. I think it´s been dark here just because of the clouds :(

Susan, glad people are feeling better at your house!

Karen, and all with sick kids...hope they all get better soon! We had about 10% absenteisim today at school..the middle school was at 20.

Off to DD17s orchestra concert!

Good Morning,

Today I am doing HIIT with the plyo leg workout disk 35 doing 30 sec HI and 60 second rest for 8 rounds.

Susan, glad Ruby is running well with you. You can get two things done at once. Good you are all feeling better.

Sue, sounds like a good plan, not only to lose the weight but you can make some money too. You did some fun workouts over the weekend. Hope the sickness leaves your house soon.

Lala, Have fun with the Oct. rotation. Sounds like you had a great time celebrating your birthday. Is the rate of kids gone going up or down at your school?

Have a good day.

Morning Ladies,

This morning was CTX Kickbox cardio only, and on the rotation that Cathe made for STS she has something she called Cardio Quick Fix which is 5 exercises for 1 min. each, done 4 times for a total of 20 min. In that 20 min. I burned 285 cal. No rodents as far as I can tell, but I told DH that we might want to set some traps, because Cami was picking up her ears and listening while I was working out. No run for me last night, one reason was the rain, and the other is I think the TM is where the mice may have built a house so I want DH to check that before I turn the motor on.

Karen, I went up to my parents house, and it had been a combo rain/snow until about 5pm when it turned to all snow. They live in Ashland county, and none of the county trucks where out with the salt. My parents had a costume party for their 50th wedding anniversary. It was a fun time. :D DD16 has what you described minus the stomach ache, and her fever has only reached as high as 102.

Susan, Congrats to Ruby on running so well! This morning Cami was dragging me, I think the deer where out but I couldn't tell because of the dark. ;)

Sue, That sounds like a great way to get motivation, and I really hope you win so you can get more DVD's. JUST KIDDING!!! :D Well maybe not. :D I really do like these STS workouts, and I don't know if I am being delusional, but I am seeing more definition in my arms. :)

Lala, Happy Birthday! What a great way to celebrate. Yumm on the carrot cake, that is my DH's favorite cake. I make that for his B'day too. ;)

Have a great day!

Good Morning! So far I went for another run this morning. Ruby seems to be enjoying it! Legs were a bit sore today but not too bad!:p I need to do something else tonight but haven't decided what yet!

Karen, that sounds like a good wrokout today! Have fun!

Laurie, I would have DH check that treadmill out first too! Have you had mouse problems before? Glad you are seeing more definiton! Keep it up!

The sun is actually trying to shine today! That would be nice!

Have a great day ladies!

Hi Lala!
Hi Sue!!

Hi again, ended up doing Plyo X. Don't know why.

Laurie, sounds like a good calorie burn for 20 min. I have found those short high intensity are great add ons. Because DD is home again I thought I'd do a short one and not add anything on. Hope your DD is better soon. How many calories did you burn the last time you did Plyo X. I remember you posted but can't find it.

Susan, glad you are enjoying running with the dog. I would like the sun to shine but I can't go out until the kids get home because DD6 is her and I don't want her out or to leave her alone.

Enjoy the day.

We finally have some sun :)
Today I did STS legs 17 I think...meso 2. I forgot what a killer that is!

Karen, how do you do the plyo legs as HIIT? It sounds like something I might like to try. Our student absenteeism is going up, but we have a long weekend, so I´m guessing the admin is hoping that that will take care of things...kids resting, etc. Don´t know.

Susan, Nice job running! What did you add on?
Laurie, that was a good workout. do you remember where you found that add-on?
Hi Sue! Keep up the good work...we all want to see you win!;)

Good Morning,

Today I am doing ME. DD went back to school today.

Lala, the quick fix that Laurie did is in the STS forum under her cardio to go along with the weights. I'll have to actually try plyo as HIIT. I read about someone doing it on Hardcore Fitness Maniacs with 30 sec. on and 1 min off repeating 8 times. However that would work she makes it end up being 20 min. Hope the long weekend gives people time to get better.

Sue, Lauren Brooks has a short youtube workout there if you want to try it with your kettlebell. You might like it. Her form is great.

Have a great day.

Morning Ladies,

Well I didn't get my Disc 17 Legs workout done this morning, because of the updating they where doing on the web page. I couldn't print out my worksheet. So after work I will get in the workout. I did get TaeBo Celebrity Fit Sculpt done though. ;)

Susan, This is the first time I have ever seen mice in our house. We have had them in the garage. I'm enjoying the sun too, it was pouring into our office yesterday! Almost to bright for the ones that sit next to the windows. :D

Karen, DD16 went back to school this morning, her fever broke yesterday. I don't have a count for the plyoX workout, didn't have my current HRM at that time so sorry.

Lala, Oh now you have me scared for later today when I have to do that workout. Here is the thread: http://www.thecathenation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=257971 This one would be a good for HIIT if you do one exercise for 1 min the rest for 1 min., do the next etc....

Have a great day!

Hello gang! I have not yet decided what I am doing yet today and it's 3:30pm!! I have written down Step Jam on the rotation so that is probably what I'll do. Yesterday I forgot I had to take DS to FB practice so while he practiced I walked for 50mn. I first walked a mile around the track to see how fast I was walking (12.5 mn mile) then I toured the neighborhoods! My legs were sore this morning and I was tired so I slept in (no run :()

Karen, maybe ME was so hard cause you haven't done it in a while? There are some workouts that one day they seem easy as pie and the next time I do it it kicks my butt!

Looking forward to a nice 4 day weekend ahead! Hope to get some sleep! :D

Have a great night! Susan

Hi! Today was STS disk 5. I forgot how much I like STS! But when I'm doing the other stuff I like that too!

Laurie, how did you like legs today?? I sure felt it in my calves today! Thanks for the link.

If weather stays nice, I plan to get in a run tomorrow

Susan, I'm going to enjoy this nice long weekend, too! Hope to get a swim in, too.
Karen, glad all the family is feeling better!

Hi Sue!

Morning Ladies,

This morning was BC Premix #1, Cathe's Cardio Quick Fix and Ab Circuit No Equipment. Last night I got Disc 17 Legs finshed, and went outside for a short run. This is the most perfect weather to run in. :D

Karen, I would think that because you have not done the workout in a while and the tempo/reps are different, and it is probably hitting different muscles it makes it harder. ;)

Susan, Oh I wish I had a four day weekend, I know my DD's are probably going to enjoy theirs. Just hope they get something done around the house. :D Did you get Step Jam done?

Lala, Could the calf muscles hurt because she makes us do 60 calf raises at the end of that all lunge workout? :D :D :D My muscles where a quiver toward the end of this workout. I find it interesting that 35lbs in plie squat is harder than in Slow & Heavy. I think I was up to 40lbs in that workout. Must be the way she has us lift those weights. ;) Enjoy your run today. :)

I made this Mac & Cheese recipe last night to rave reviews by my DH, and DD12 said it was good. Her plate was clean so I'm guessing that she liked it. :D http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/recipefinder/triple-cheesy-mac-and-cheese-recipe?click=recipe_sr

Have a great day!

So far just having my coffee and doing stuff. I do have a lengthy tlo do list today so will eventually get at it. Got the new windows 7 and am learning some of the new things they have included.

It really irritates me that when a computer dies or change of operating system itunes will not sync the ipod  So I downloaded idump and now am having trouble finding where it dumped my stuff. Plus this word processing is driving me nuts because for no apparent reason I find the cursor has moved me back to something I already typed or, worse yet highlights something and then deletes it :mad: Anyone know what´s wrong (it certainly can´t be user error  )

Laurie, that mac and cheese recipe looks really good. I´ll have try it.

Good Morning,

Today I did Extreme Kettlebell with Keith Weber, Cathe's Cardio quick fix and a segment of stretchmax.

Susan Enjoy your 4 day weekend.

Laurie, Mac and Cheese sounds good. I'll have to try it. I love the leg workouts in STS.

Lala, Hope you get your list accomplished and a run it.

It's raining again here. Not good weather up in these parts to run in. The day we had sun and I could have run, my DD was home sick. I actually liked having her home. We played lots of Sequence for kids.

Have a great weekend.

Hello there! This morning was a 3 mile run and I want to add something tonight, but haven't decided what. Yes, I did do Step Jam last night. It was fun!

We all had dentist appointments this morning and then the van had to go in for an alignment and then errands to run! I'm tired!:p Have to go call an ortho for DD's teeth. She is so grumpy about needing braces!

Have a restful night everyone!

Susan
