BUFF BADGERS 10/25-10/29

Hi,

Today I am going to do some cardio, I am thinking of Rythmic Step. I still have a few minutes to change my mind.

Sue, have fun with your circuit.

Laurie, glad you are gaining flexibility. I have to put in yoga here soon. I just don't like it. I will be getting the rest of her Peak 10 workouts.

Susan, sorry your football team lost. Hope you had fun with your run.

Have a nice day. I get to watch my DS play basketball tonight. The first game.:)

Sue---glad your tests went well. I see we posted about the same time the other night so I didn't see your team lost until later...

Laurie----I love the name "Fountain of Youth" for a workout. I am sure the improved flexibility is making a difference in your current workouts. One of my friends said that adding yoga to her exercise program is what helped her lean out.

Karen- Rythmic Step is truly one of my favorites. However, I usually skip the challenge because of time and I am beat by then.

Today was Cardio Blast Premix from Drill Max.

wow, I miss a few days, and a lot has happened! thanks for all the well-wishes. We had today off and tomorrow also. got a lot done around the house. Yesterday i did HiiT pyramid and in the pm ran 2.5 miles. today was Lowmax.

Karen, I see you did the pyramid HiiT, great minds and all...Good luck to DS

Susan, looks like your running is going well! Have fun on your long weekend. any plans?

Sue, 70 pushups??? Wow!! Did you get your circuit in?

Laurie, it seems to me that if I can't get everything in, it's my abs that get the boot...did you get your ab workout in? I really should concentrate on that!

Heartymax, those imax 3 intervals are good one! And really good when you are short on time!

Bad news about my shoulder...osteolysis of the clavicle. Bone breakdown. Me doc said PT would aggravate it, but said that a visit to the sports med doc would be a good idea. From the very little I have read about it, surgery is a possibility :( for now I'm supposed to avoid stuff that hurts it...EVERYTHING it seems.

Hi ladies! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, busy cleaning, errands and carving pumpkins! I did run 3.5 miles yesterday. It was still windy but it was coming from a direction that was tolerable. Today I am doing Cardio & Weights. Haven't pulled this one out in forever!

Today is a quiet day. I even got to sleep in!:)

Laurie (Gumby) good job and staying consistent with the Yoga. Wish I liked yoga more. I do find when I am disciplined with pilates my back and limbs feel so much better.

Sue, good job with your blood pressure! I am sure your other numbers will be just fine. What exercise did you decide on yesterday?

Karen, did you do RS? One of my all time favorites. I did have a fun run and looking forward to my 4.5 miler tomorrow.

Lala, that stinks about your shoulder!:( I sure hope it won't require surgery! Did he explain how that happened?

Hi Heartymax!

Have a great day! Susan

Morning Ladies,

Hey I finally pulled out Tonique and did that workout this morning! Totally awsome, and I'm going to be keeping that one in the rotation once every week. I really enjoy this one more than P90X Legs & Back. :D Last night I did manage to get in Jackie Warners Abs from her Circuit workout. Did anyone get any of her new workouts? See how I do toward the end of today, will I be walking?

Sue, Great job on the bp results. I'm sure the other test results will be good also. I did Circuit Max recently, and totally enjoyed myself.

Karen, So did you stick with RS? I'm still debating what my workout will be for tomorrow. I have given myself the option of an Insanity workout or kickboxing, and it is leaning toward the kb workout. ;) I have not done one in quite a while. BB season starting up already, dang the time sure does fly by.

heartymax, I'm hoping that the yoga is helping in more than just the flexability. That workout from DM is a good one.

Lala, Dang on the shoulder, hope you don't need surgery. :( I'm guessing that you are staying away from weight work. You got in some great workouts though.

Susan, Sounds like a lot of you are pulling out the oldies. I pulled that one out this summer, and had a lot of fun with it. Hey get a pilates workout in at least once a week, since you enjoy it more that yoga. I don't like pilates, so yoga is my sub. ;)

Have a wonderful day!

Today I got in a 2.5 mi run...it was 27 out this am when i ran...brrrr!

Hope you all have a nice weekend. DD22 and I are heading north to visit my SIL and BIL.

Good Morning,

Today I did BM2 upper, B&G standing and B&G stability ball ab, then a segment of Coremax. I did end up doing RS yesterday. Had a blast. I really love the music on that workout.

Laurie, glad you liked Tonique. I haven't even done the one Jackie workout I have so I probably won't be getting any of her new ones. Which ones are you leaning toward? I say go for the kickboxing. Always nice to sub.

Susan, nice job on getting your runs in. Amazing you are already looking forward to your 4.5 mile run when just last week you were not so much looking forward to it. At least you like Pilates and Laurie yoga-what about me, I don't care for either one can I just do stretching dvds?:D

Lala, great minds think alike. I really like Hiit pyramid. Sorry about your shoulder. What are your plans for workouts if everything hurts besides the obvious--cardio.:) I hope it gets better without surgery. I edited because we posted at the same time. Wow you must have really wanted to run to run in that temp. Burr!!!

Sue, did you end up doing Circuit Max? I almost did SJP today. some of the older workouts make me smile.

heartymax, you must be in good shape to keep doing that Drill max cardio blast. I think the cardio in that workout is hard.

Have to get some cleaning done and go buy some laundry detergent so I can get my wash done. Tomorrow is basketball for DD8. DS12 team lost by 2 points last night. He didn't play much. The HS teacher is the coach and we don't see eye to eye on how he teaches my children who are in HS. Hope he doesn't take it out on DS on his basketball team.:(

Enjoy your day and have a relaxing weekend. Go!! all the football teams who are still in the running.

Heartymax - I think you have me and Susan confused. (Don't feel bad - happens all the time because our names are so similar.) Susan said her team lost on Tuesday but ours won. I was the one who did the health screen though. This reminds me of the play my DD was just in. Her name is the same as one of the characters in the play so it was confusing who the Director was speaking to. They gave my DD the nickname of "Rainbow" to keep it straight. :D

Lala - I'd definitely talk to the sport med doc and she what he/she has to say. Hopefully you don't need surgery. I know in a few months 27 will sound downright balmy but right now all I can think is "Brrrrrrr"! Good job with your run.

Laurie - I'm glad you like Tonique. Were you able to do the whole thing your first time? If so, you are my hero. That workout really taxes your endurance.

Karen - Great workout. My abs would be screaming after all that. Close game for DS. Hope the coach is a better coach than teacher.

Susan - Sleeping in sounds wonderful! I had to really think about it when my alarm went off this morning because I was somehow convinced it was Saturday. Good job on your running in the wind. You and Lala - don't know how you do it.

Did Circuit Max last night. Well, most of it anyway. My legs felt heavy and I wanted to quit after 30 min. but I kept going. Made it through the last cardio (heavily modified) and then quit when it came time to do the 1 leg bicep curls. I was going to get up and do some yoga this morning but slept in instead. I'll try to do yoga tonight and see how my legs feel. If they're really shaky or fatigued I'll switch to plan B which is Pilates. (Plan C is snuggling on the coach and getting caught up on my shows I recorded. :p)

Have a great weekend! Go Wolverines!

Sue----you are absolutely right----there are many times I have to go back through and check again before I post because I get you and Susan mixed up! By the way, I like your plan C for this evening. I plan to watch Nightmare on Elmstreet. I have been talking about it all day and want to feel like a teen again and watch a scary movie.

Today was a rest day for me. I decided to use that hour cleaning this morning instead of exercising. I got a lot done and ahead of the game for tomorrow.

Karen-----I do love that cardio blast premix in Drill Max. It is easy on the knees, have great music and not a bunch of Plyos so I am good. It is also only 40 minutes. Trust me--I have take breaks when needed and always looking for sip of water. Give me cardio like any Imax and I can barely get through some of them.

It is pretty windy here today. We have had some nice 75 degree weather last few days and now it is in the 50's through the weekend and windy. Hope you ladies enjoy your weekend.
