Good Morning,

Today I did HIS/chest/back and abs from Kickbox dvd.

Hope things are going well with all of you. Did anyone try the new workouts yet? I did LIS tri/bi, Bootcamp & Legs and of course HIS chest/back. I guess I only have Kickbox left. I think HIS is hard choreography wise. I just couldn't get some of the combos. I liked the music in the other dvds better. THis is probably my least favorite. I think the Leg work is her easiest yet. Let me know what you guys think.

Is DD done running cross country yet, Laurie?

Did anyone win anything at Dojo the other night?, Sue.

Workout is 4DS Chest & Back just the weight segment.

DD and her team are headed to WI Rapids for the state meet. Lots of happiness for those girls on Saturday. First DD was crying because she felt her time wasn't that great (21st place with time of 17:05 - I know I couldn't do that). The coach said that it was about placement for this race, and that the course was very tough. And it was, everyones times where slower than they usually are. They had to climb a huge hill at the end of the course. They counted the top 5 runners from each team, and DD came in the 5th spot right behind her teammate. :D So that one place got them into the qualifiers.

Karen, It is so good to see you back again. We did miss you. I have yet to try the workouts, but it is my goal this week to at least try all the weight work. I will be trying the BC and KB, and will see about the step workouts. I'm such a klutz that I always take these in stages. :D

Susan, Isn't it nice to have a bunch of children that get along. When I have family come over you sometimes don't even know that their are children in the house. :D

Sue, Oh yes did you win one of those bags? :D How was the baby shower?

Karen - Good to "see" you again! I agree - the leg workout wasn't very tough except for the inner thighs. Mine are screaming today from that move with the 30 pound dumbbell on the high step. Kind of scared of the tricky choreo in HIS. Previewed LIS and that one had a lot of new moves. May take awhile to get this one down.

Laurie - Didn't win a kicking bag so I guess I'll have to buy my own. Found out I can order through the Dojo's supplier and get free shipping so may look into that. Didn't go to the baby shower yesterday. I'm a bad aunt, I know but after getting nothing done on Saturday, I didn't feel like being stuck in a car for 3 hours on a beautiful day when I had yardwork, laundry and other things to do. I see my family this Sunday anyway so I'll give her the gift then.

Susan - Hope you got some great workouts in this weekend - or at least got outside to enjoy the weather.

Saturday I worked 6 hours and didn't feel like doing ANYTHING when I got home. Tired and hungry. Sat around and watched bad cable movies like "Saved!" on the Oxygen channel. (Almost embarrassed to admit that.)

Did 4DS Kickbox yesterday. Didn't even preview - just dove in. I liked it but had 1 complaint - I wanted to see more kicks! I got excited when we did a bent knee crescent in the warmup because we do crescents and wheel kicks (the other direction) at Dojo. Some new core exercises in this one that I liked.

This morning I did Chest, Shoulders and Triceps premix the from the HIS/LIS dvd. Lots of pushups but the sets are short (almost too short). Maybe as I get used to this workout I can focus more on form and that will make it harder. I didn't care for all the equipment changes either. Maybe it will flow better once I write everything down. Does anyone have spreadsheets?

Laurie, I'll be rooting for DD and her team at state. That is really great. Did you match Cathe's weight for chest? I did until the chest press and I puckered out at 8 reps instead of 12.

Sue, does her chest, shoulder, tricep mix do all the weights from those sections of her whole workouts? I was glad when the push ups were done. I don't think I could have done any more. I really don't like them in the first place. You deserve to sit around at least sometimes. She will get the gift soon enough since you will see your family soon.

Karen - Were the pushups done back to back? In the premix I did they weren't so that made them easier. It wasn't like doing the drop sets in GS-Chest that's for sure! I don't know if all exercises were included. Still trying to figure out what's what on these new dvds. I do know the premixes on each are different because I looked for the one I did this morning on the other dvd and it wasn't there. Have a good night.

Hi ladies!

Karen, its nice to see you back again!:D

Didn't get a chance to log on yesterday but I did CTX Power Circuit followed by CTX Kickbox (cardios only). Today is Power Hour. I have not done this workout in a looooong time!

I am looking forward to the kids being off school this Thursday and Friday. That means I don't have to work! Nice long weekend ahead. I told them I am going to be a slug on Thursday and not do anything that I don't want to do! }(

Today I am planning on CC7 and 4DS bic/tri again.

Susan, we had our Thur. Fri. off last week. The quarter seemed to end really early this year. Looks like you got a great workout in yesterday. It's been a while since I've done either of those workouts you just did. She has so many good ones and not enough time.

Laurie, how are your new Cathe's fitting into your rotation?

Sue, how is your workout room coming. Are you ready to get your treadmill and boxing bag?

Workout today is 4DS Chest & Back Weights/4DS Legs & Core Weights / Kathy Smith Peak Fat Burning

I wasn't able to get my workout in yesterday. As soon as I got home I walked the dog, then DD14 called that she was done with practice. By the time I got home, I only had 20 min before I needed to get DD10 to dance class. :) Taxi Mom was working overtime last night. :)

Susan, I have taken Th & F off also. I thought it would help with all the prep for the confirmation party. Good thing I did. Saturday is probably going to be a bust as far as getting anything done. :) We have trick-or-treating that night also. :D

Karen, I will be using the 4DS this week for my heavy day. Hope it works ok. I will let you know after I actually get to do the workouts tonight. :D :D Hopefully no one will need me to cart them someplace.

Sue, I have noticed the alot of people are getting a good upper body workout with the new KB. You are right there isn't a lot of kicking in it. Maybe do this workout and then add on the Tracey S Sweatfest Cardio premix with all the kicking. :D Oooooo, that probably wouldn't be half bad. Might get sick of kicking thought. :7 :7

Susan - I had to resist the urge to do a CTX cardio this morning so I use my other dvds. I love the entire CTX series (which I'm sure I've said before). My kids are off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so super short week for them. I'm only off on Friday though.

Karen - DH keeps plugging away at the remodeling but it sure goes slow. He said I could go ahead and get a bag so it's just a matter of shopping around.

Laurie - Love your idea of combining the new Kickbox with Tracey's KB Sweatfest! Would have to do that on a weekend or day off but that'd be a helluva workout.

Previewed HIS last night. Looks tricky with lots of twists and turns. Maybe I'll try it this weekend when I have time to rewind a lot. Did Back & Biceps premix from HIS/LIS dvd. This morning was Turbo Jam CP Mix 2. Dojo tonight. DH and kids got their yellow belts last Saturday but I'm still stuck with white - until this Saturday that is. DH was teasing me that the lower belt has to carry the higher belts' gym bags to class. What a funny guy - NOT!

Afternoon BB's,

My workout today is Bryan Kest Power Yoga Sweat / BBC Cardio. We have to go to church tonight for confirmation rehersal. Pastor was nice to schedule a time for DD14. She was suppose to do this on Saturday, but I think she will be a bit busy. :D She recieved the information from the coaches yesterday, and there are going to be 190 runners. All I can say is WOW! She has very low expectations of herself. She said she probably will be coming in last. I told her that she will do her best for her team.

Sue, Oh what a funny guy you have there. :) I am a klutz with the step so I don't know when I will actually attempt HIS. I will probably be looking at the TV and marching in place at some points.

Karen, I really enjoyed the Chest work on this workout. I really think this is my favorite chest work that she has done. Will see about the leg work. I have to work on the weights for this one.

Susan, Hope your day is going well, and as of this moment I only have 3-1/2 hours until I'm off of work. :D

Nobody here today? Hope all is well with everyone and you're getting some good workouts in.

My minivan battery died last night so DH had to come give me a jump and then go get it replaced so no Dojo last night. No class on Friday because they'll be getting ready for their Halloween party and I'm in Chicago next week and will miss both those classes, too! Frustrating. To makeup for it, I did Tracey's Cardio Sweatfest Kickbox 35 min. premix + Cardio Kicks Drills. Thanks for reminding me about Sweatfest, Laurie! ;-)

Hi ladies, late check-in again! Today has to be my "off" day this week. My DH got a big buck with his bow and now he's cutting it up while I use the food saver! I also got my new drapes for the living in and I spent an hour putting them up!

I have a floating off day with this routine. I scheduled workouts for all 7 days. If I miss one,like todays elliptical, I add it on at the end of the week.

Sue, sorry you did not make it to Dojo yesterday. It has to be frustrating trying to keep a schedule when life gets in the way. At least you have some nice kickboxing workouts at home. I like you DH comment about you carrying the bags. Like that would ever happen. You'll probably pass him up.

Susan sounds like you have a great workout plan. Do you guys just cut it into steaks and freeze the deer or do you grind it? Nice job to DH getting it with a bow.

Yesterday I went to Eau Claire with a friend. Found a couple of pair of jeans for DD15. I didn't workout yesterday but will do 4D split all upper body and when DH gets home tonight we will tandem our normal 18 mile loop. Not great workouts but I don't feel like working out much any more.

Enjoy the nice day. It's suppose to get to 65 degrees here. I hope.
 
Hello!

This morning I did the elliptical that I was supposed to do yesterday (45mn on the Sports Training program). This afternoon I will be doing Legs & Glutes.

Today I have some house work to do then I plan to read my book and my pile of magazines that came this week. Hope to relax!

Karen, DH just cuts it into steaks and chops. We get sausage and hotsticks and hot dogs made out of the extras.

Karen - I haven't felt like working out lately either. Especially now that I'm getting up earlier. I really have to force myself. Weights aren't a problem but there's no way I could do a BBC cardio or Imax.

Susan - Hope you get to relax and enjoy a good magazine. Great workout scheduled for today.

Laurie - Good luck to DD at her meet this weekend.

I did some abs/core from On Demand last night to see what it was like. Beginner stuff but I did like Tamilee's "I Want Those Abs". This morning I did 45 min. of P90X (the hard part). Tomorrow I want to try LIS. Getting scared by reports of people spraining their ankle so may decide to lower my step to 4".

I'm off tomorrow. Yeah! Sleeping in! :)

Morning

Hope everyone is enjoying their time off and getting things done.

Today I did 4DS Legs and Kickbox, segment of stretchmax. The other day I did Step Blast on the Bosu. It was fun that way. Tomorrow is a 6 mile run with Itrain outdoor and Sun will probably be off unless DH leaves to go bike riding, then I will squeeze something in between my sons watching football games.

Sue, how did you like LIS? I enjoyed the music in this one. Good job on Yoga X yesterday.

Laurie, hope you are doing alright keeping up with all the going ons in your life.

Susan, Things just don't slow down for you either. Enjoy your great workouts. Did you order the new workouts?

Tonight I am going to fall festival at DS elementary school. Tomorrow I am going to watch the boys and DH race in cylclcross race, about an hour from here. Sun. is our harvest dinner after church and business meeting. Busy Busy. We don't celebrate Halloween so my children won't be participating in any of those activities. More my DH than myself but no biggy.
