BUFF BADGERS 1-27

Hello there!

Did BodyMax this morning! Feeling stronger today. My son was sent home sick from school yesterday and remains home today. I swear ever since he entered Kindergarten he's been sick! It's so frustrating!

Hope you all have a great day and enjoy your weekend! :) Susan

Morning Susan and all you buff Badgers!

I am going to go do some cardio after posting. I have taken 2 days off from formal exercise and don't want to get out of the habit (it's easy to!). However, I've been doing so much cleaning and packing up stuff that the weight I've lost hasn't started creeping back on. I'm still holding at 12 down. My eating has been really good, and I'm proud of that since I feel so stressed out. So far I haven't dumped a bag of Oreos down my throat lol.

Last night I packed up nine 18 gallon bins with clothes and junk from upstairs, labeled them, and carried them all downstairs to the basement. (DS had a basketball game so wasn't here to help). Our closets were way too full and now look weirdly empty lol. I'm surprised my back doesn't feel more sore today. Happily surprised.

Have a great Friday!
Jill

Morning BB's,

Today will be all three segments of Coremax, and I'm thinking of doing Kathy Smith's Aerobox workout. Again I haven't done that one in a while.

Cynthia, The Crunch Bootcamp Training is a good workout. Gets your heartrate up there for the amount of time. I was sweating! The only thing I don't like is she has you do dumbbell shoulder presses at the same time you are doing a squat. It just doesn't feel right when your butt is going back and your arms are going up. You really can only use weights between 3-5 lbs, even though she says you could use 3-10. The moves are too fast for anything heavier, unless you can lift as heavy as Cathe!! }(

Have a great day!

Laurie

Happy Friday BBs!

I did TJ Cardio Party Remix - one of the new live turbo jams. I really loved this one even though her cueing isn't the best. Only about 30 minutes but fun and IMO so much better than CP & CP2. Booty Sculpt has been getting mixed reviews but since I got such a good deal from BB I got both at a pretty good price. 4 more will be released in Feb. At first I heard all at once but now it is sounding like it will be 2 early in Feb and 2 later in the month. After CPR, I will be getting all of the other lives!

Tomorrow will be spin class and the first time I will be trying out my flashy spin shoes. I'm sure it will make the workout better!!! Tomorrow night is the Badgerland Strider Holiday Party and DH is geting a most improved runner. Not sure if we will make it to the gym on Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Everyone!

Did IMax3 yesterday. That's a goodie! Today is my off day. My Achilles tendons felt better yesterday. I have been icing them every night this week. I think it's helping.

Jill, getting your house ready to sell is a hassle, but it is amazing how much stuff you can get rid of. We have no basement here, and it;'s amazing how much stuff we had down there doing nothing. I hope not to have to go through that again anytime soon.

Laurie, glad you liked Cruch BC. I am tempted to get this. I know I can't stand squats and overhead presses. I can't overhead presses anymore because of my neck so I can substitute.

I'm tired of the Cathe bashing/complaining at VF. I've decided I am ignoring all Cathe posts. People rehash the same crap over and over again. Let it rest for crying out loud. Complain, complain, complain. I commented that the horse is dead peple. She's the only one who can illicit so many responses. Nobody is happy no matter what type of workout she creates.

Good Workouts everone!

Cynthia

Whoohoo! Friday at last!

Sounds like everyone's having good workouts!

Last night I was very short on time so I just did CTX Kickbox, including the biceps but skipped the abs. Had to go help my son get to the final level on the computer game he was playing. :) The sad thing is, it's a preschool game, but I find it both challenging and actually kind of fun! :)

Jill - Good job on the packing! Sounds like you're doing great! I'm a major packing procrastinator. Sounds like you're getting some functional fitness in instead of traditional workouts. That counts in my book!

Marie - Oooh, flashy new spin shoes! That sounds cool! Nothing like a little bling, huh? I'm sure it WILL make the workout better!

Cythia and Laurie - chalk me up to the "no" camp on squats and overhead presses. Yuck! That just feels wrong!

This weekend we're going to a (gulp) Kid's Expo. Lots of pony rides, children's singers (Mr. Billy), standing in lines, etc. Um, can't wait. }( But my son loves that kind of stuff, so I'll soldier on.

Hope y'all have a great weekend! - Sarah

Good morning,

I think my brain has conditioned itself to wake up before 5 a.m., since I've had to do it somewhat regularly the last couple of weeks. Despite being super-tired by the end of the day yesterday, I was ready to get up at 5! So I did Circuit Max, omitting the upper body — I tend to feel off-balance doing compound moves, so I just did lower body during the weights section. Then I added on PLB floor work and PUB chest, triceps and the pullovers for back, then abs. Whew! It was a long one, but it went fast. Tomorrow will be another four-mile run. Next week I start adding in another running day.

Susan, I hope your son feels better!

Jill, your move sounds hectic but exciting. Did you officially get the condo? And congrats again on the weight loss! Have you been doing anything specific, or have you just been more strict about your diet? Oreos are hard to resist :)

I think I may have put Crunch Bootcamp Training on my Netflix list to try before buying. It's great to hear good reviews of it.

Cynthia, how's the weather in AZ? It's supposed to hit 50 in Madison today ;) I'm glad to hear your achilles tendons are feeling better. I used to have major achilles problems when I was a softball pitcher. Those injuries are no fun.

Sarah, have fun at the expo ;)

Take care,

Ellen

Hi girls! Very quick check in.....

I am going to see the condo for the second time tomorrow. I have not put an offer in, and am actually having second thoughts. Mostly because of the flooring. There is BEAUTIFUL wood flooring in the kitchen dining area and the basement. Between DS not being careful and the dog's nails, it will be ruined within a year. I have now confirmed that they get stratched pretty easily with a couple of friends that have it. Bummer!! But I'm still going to look at it again. It's also about 20k more than I'm wanting to spend. But theres' nothing else for sale. IF my house sells fast I dont' know what I'll do lol.

Jill - Good luck on your condo decision. I know you were so excited about the prospect of no yardwork this summer.

Marie - You're tempting me into buying more TJs! I'm sitting here at work with that "I'm gonna knock you out" song going through my head. Can't wait to do CP again.

Susan - This has been an outstanding year for colds and flus (so far - knock on wood) in our household. Hope your little one feels better soon.

Was really in the mood to lift heavy this morning so did PS-CST + PS-BBA. Good news - since doing Hardcore, I can go heavier on a few of the exercises. I'm planning on doing Mindy Mylrea's Awesome Intervals tomorrow and FYC on Sunday.

ASKING FOR HELP!
I signed up for a committee at school to plan the 6th Grade Dinner. Every year the 5th grade parents plan it and last year they had a Survivor theme. This year the theme is sports and I'm looking into decorations. We need things CHEAP or if possible donated or borrowed. We'd like to represent all kinds of sports and maybe tie in the Olympics theme. Does anyone have any cool sports decorations I could borrow? We were thinking of hanging sports jerseys and posters on the walls, having life-sized cardboard sports figures (for photo ops) and maybe even some actual sports equipment as a corner display. Does anyone have ANYTHING or know who I could contact? One lady is already contacting all the local sports teams (Brewers, Bucks, Wave, etc.) to see if they'll give us anything. We have a big area to decorate (school gym) and lots of tables (close to 300 people attend) so we need lots of stuff. Any ideas you have (maybe even names of contact people?) or items to loan would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sue

Jill - that is good to know about hardwood floors although I am surprised. We want to put ceramic tile in the entry area and I was debating if this would continue into the kitchen or if I would do hardwood (or laminate) in the kitchen. I think this change is in the more distant future because of the size of the area and needing to coordinate with other things I want to do. Is there a reason you need to stay in that area and limit your condo selection?

Sue - Was the "I'm Gonna Knock You Out" song prompted by me trying to tempt you?

Hey all! I'm actually in Chicago this weekend. I'm actually in a training session right now, but I wanted to check in with you all :)

No workout today, not tomorrow, but hopefully Sunday night. I'll post later when I have some free time, but I wanted to say hi and hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone!

Ellen, I have held back on reporting the weather here, because it has been so beautiful, High 60's/low 70's. This is the time of year I typically hate WI, because Winter gets soooo long, so I am enjoying AZ right now. I like exercising with the patio door open. It seems strange that it's only January. I am also outdoor duty aide at recess at my kid's school so I am thoroughly enjoying the weather here. I am liking it better but the other day when the kids came screaming outside at recess that there was a scorpian in the bathroom. I wanted to scream too.
x( That's when I think "what am I doing here?" I am fearing those little buggers big time. I have dreams about them. I know, how sad! I need to get a grip.

I am glad you guys are getting some warmer weather. It makes the winter more tolerable.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Cynthia
