BUFF BADGERS 02/03

Hi girls!! The house is finally ready; the major cleaning organizing is done, so I should have a little more time to keep up with you guys here now. Yay!

I have not done a formal workout since last week Tuesday, but I've managed to still lose 4 pounds or so because of all the physical activity involved with the cleaning/organizing. I have kept my eating pretty clean. However, it's time now to get back on the workout wagon and keep the weight loss going.

A family came to look at my house on Wed. night and really seemed to like it. I will be very surprised if they don't make me an offer.

However, the condo deal didn't happen I think they are way overpriced and I'm not going to move somewhere just so I can move, ya know? I have to like it. I certainly don't want to be moving in another year again. So now I've sort of decided what I really want is a smaller house and smaller yard that I can maintain by myself. My side yard is a really steep hill and I can't mow it by myself. Taylor can do it but he'll be busy working this summer, and then gone in a couple summers. There aren't any houses for sale here right now that I want. I'm looking at one this morning, but it's not real promising. As I said, I'm not moving because I HAVE to yet, so I might wait and see what comes on the market in the next two months when things usually start hopping for spring.

The problem is I don't know what to do about the potential buyers of my house. Should I call/email them and let them know I don't have anywhere to live yet and can't accept an offer? Wait until they MAKE an offer? I hate to make them waste time. But they have a house to sell, too, so it's not like they'll want to move in next month anyway.

Ah decisions decisions!

I got a really interesting email yesterday. This lady tracked me down through this thread! Check out her email.....I don't know what I'll do yet. I'm not in good enough shape to be in an article!!

Hi there,

I'm a write for the Wisconsin State Journal - right now I'm working on an article about Cardio Coach and other MP3 workouts for the Daybreak section. I'm a runner myself, and I was excited to learn about them (anything to get me through a sprint!)

But I've contacted the manager at Princeton East as well as the owner of Monkey Bar Gymnasium and neither had heard of it! Through creative use of Google, I came across your email address on the Buff Badgers thread.

Would you be intersted in being inteviewed and/or photographed for the article? Or if you aren't, do you know someone who is?

Thanks so much!

You can email me back, or call me at...

I can't believe Cardio Coach is still such a secret!! I'm planning on starting with volume 4 or 5 today, to get back on track.

Happy Friday everyone!
Jill

Morning BB's,

Today will be CTX Upper Body and Low Impact Step. Leaner Legs was a sweat feast yesterday. You don't realize how hard you are working until that sweat starts running into your eyes. }(

Saturday will be a 5 Mile Run and Kathy Smith's Pilates for Lower Body, and Sunday will be Leaner Legs and I'm thinking of checking out Prevention Belly, Butt & Thighs.

Jill, When we where building our house we moved into an apartment until our house was finished, so I understand why you wouldn't want to move twice. All our stuff was in storage, not fun. Sometimes you can work something out with the buyers to rent your current house until you get yours. A friend of ours did this. Interesting e-mail, I don't know what to tell you on that one. Guess it wouldn't hurt to contact her and find out what exactly what the article will entail.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good morning,

After work I'm going to do weight work; I just haven't decided what it will be yet. I'm wiped out again today even though I slept like a rock last night. I'm glad it's almost the weekend.

Jill, do you think you'll pull your house off the market until you find one you really want? I don't blame you for not wanting to move more than once. Moving is no fun. I think it's pretty cool that you were contacted by the State Journal :)

Have a great day/weekend,

Ellen

Hi Ladies!

Jill, selling a house can be pretty frustrating! You kind of get stuck. Either you put your house up while you look or find one and then hope your house sells quickly. There is no for sure way to do it. However, if you really want to take your time and find what you truly would be happy with, you may need to take your house off the market til you get closer to a final decision.

My daughter is home sick today, awful cough and fever... I have a rough cold. I woke up early though and did Step,Jump and Pump. I hope to do some Pilates later.

Tomorrow is Leaner Legs and MIC (Hi/Lo part.), and Sunday is REST! :) My husband was a big Steeler fan as a child so he's actually looking forward to the SuperBowl. We'll be going to my sister's in Oshkosh for a little party....

Enjoy your weekend and Jill, good luck in whatever you decide to do!

Susan

Good to know you all understand my dilemma! I looked at the only smallish house for sale here this morning-yuck!! don't know what I'll do.

On a lighter note, I did talk to Jennifer some more. She's in Madison and I'm too far away. I know someone is in Madison---Ellen is it you??? Do you use Cardio Coach? Her editor won't let her come to ET cuz it's too far. Email me if you (or anyone else in Madison) are interested and I'll give you her email. [email protected]

Jill

I am in Madison, but I haven't tried Cardio Coach yet. Jedi and Thea were the other two from Madison, but they haven't been around in a while.

Jill - 4 pounds? That's great! Maybe I should try the Sell Your House workout! LOL Don't have any advice on selling your house since we've only bought 1 house and we're still in it 12 years later.

Susan, I'm interested in watching the Super Bowl, too but I don't really care who wins. Afraid I'm not much of a sports fan. I have $20 in a pool but I'm stuck with crummy numbers (4&5 and 1&2). Don't think I'll get any of the big payouts but maybe total first downs or something. We like to order pizza for Superbowl, too, so I'm looking forward to that as well. yum yum

Rest day for me today. Slept in and it felt wooooooonderful. This weekend I plan on doing PS-BBA + CTX-Kickbox cardio on Saturday and PS-SLA on Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sue

Hi BBs!
I did a Turbo kick round this morning. Fun and even better than TJ!! I bought it over at tha YaYa swap.

Jill - It is hard to coordinate buying and selling so better off to see what happens with the sale and move to apt if you have to. They have those PODS for storage now which is better than moving everything to a storage facility. Are you locked in to East Troy or are there other communities you could move to like Mukwonogo... Too bad the article didn't work out. I thought I would know someone famous. I am sooooo jealous on those 4#s you lost! I think I found them.

I was off today - went to the MD for my Pap and then enjoyed the time after. Went to Mayfair and checked out Sephora. :D

Hope everyone has a good weekend! I have number 6 for my pool - add the scores and the last 2 numbers at the half and end. Hoping I win at least one this year. At least it gives me a reason to watch the game.

Marie, I have to live in Walworth County so Travis can go to his special ed school. I am now considering Elkhorn. Reluctantly lol. I don't really want to move out of East Troy, but there are really so few options. I'm going to look at some condos tomorrow in Elkhorn. They are side by sides-just 2 to a building and have real yards, and allow dogs up to 75 lbs. :) I'm not thrilled about moving 15 minutes further from Milwaukee, and I'm especially not happy with maybe having a new phone number after 11 years!

Good luck! Remember new things are coming on the market all the time so if you are OK with going to an apt if need be, you can wait until you find just what you want.

Hi Everyone!

I just did Cardio Collectibles. I'm starting to like this one more and more. Did Firm Total Body Shaping Mix last night. I still like this one. It is a good hour of a sweaty circuit workout. the only Firm I own and like.

Jill, Don't be surprised if you don't get an offer from those people. I'm not trying to be doom and gloom, but having gone through the house selling 4 times, people will say anything. My suggestion, until you have the paper (offer) in your hands, it means nothing. We had people tell us they really want our house and then you hear nothing. Be prepared when you go FSBO, you also may get outrageously low offers. Before we left for AZ and signed with a realtor, we got an offer for 50,000 less than we were asking. That was below the market value. We probably should have taken it anyway, but we weren't overpriced for our home. It felt like a slap in the face. We got asking price with our realtor, but we also have to give her 20,000. But, oh well, it's sold. I hope you sell it quick. March is usually a hot time, so don't get too discouraged. You will also find more houses in the next couple months. Most sellers like to wait for spring before they list.

Going to the Phoenix Open tomorrow. Got free tickets. DH saw Bill Murry there the other day. He got great pictures. The weather is gorgeous. 78 today and the same for tomorrow. We should have a great day.

Take Care everyone!

Cynthia

Cynthia, I know you're right. I haven't heard from those people. It seems odd since they were so "gushy", ya know? But that's okay since I have nowhere to move yet anyway! I have ads going in the papers this next week, including $$$ in the Milw. Journal. Man, they are expensive!! $127 for 4 days with no picture even. I know my realtor friend said she could get me $15,000 more. But I'd have to give her realty company that extra $15,000 and she wouldn't even get much of it. I can wait it out. The hard thing is keeping the house clean!
