BUFF BADGERS 01/11

Good morning ladies!!

Yesterday I came home and did my workout, then had to rush to get ready for my DS's bball game. I did Tracie's Endurance for Movement. I've now done all four and like them a lot! Definitely a good investment! My back is achy from supermans, but I know I have to do them to help get strength there to prevent reinjuring.

My friend is coming over this morning and we are going to take it a little easier on my back and do Basic Step and the stab ball addon. I might do some weights later today if my back feels okay.

Have a great day!

Morning BB's,

Today I'm going to take my day off. Both DD's have swimming tonight, so I have decided to do only stretching. I'm thinking of taking a good hot soak in the tub also. Feel like pampering myself. :+ I don't do that as much as I should.

Jill, you are doing an awsome job on your workouts.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Jill and Laurie,

Sounds like there's an epidemic of kids and sports interfering with optimum workout time. Last night DS had soccer, so I had to rush home after that and I squeezed in a Timesaver cardio then I tacked on shoulder, tricep and bicep work. Tonight DS has swimming and I still haven't picked a rotation so I don't know what I'll do. Maybe some of LowMax, but the runtime on that one is SO long I don't know if I can do it. Might have to do some, but not all.

Jill - it's so nice that you have a workout buddy. Sounds like you both are doing a great job of working out.

Looks like we're in for another gray day today. I guess I can put my sunglasses away again. :) - Sarah

Good morning BBs!
I did Dance off the Inches Calorie Blast Party which is a new one I found cheap at Walmart. Another good 4am workout. Dancey but she breaks moves down well and I could get most the first time. I was a little sore from Spin class last night so I didn't want to do step or kickboxing this morning.

Jill - I was reading reviews of the TLTs and am weakening but I don't want the ones that use "paper plates" so I am thinking about Strength in Movement and Finding your Core. What do you think?

Laurie - enjoy your day off! I agree that it is hard to find the time to pamper yourself as much as we should. I used to get manicures regularly and now it is hard to find the time to even file them.

Good morning,

Jill, I think I'm weakened enough that I'm going to have to buy the TLTs. I've read so many great reviews, so I might just go for it. I'm also thinking about ordering the new CIAs and one of the new Mindy Mylreas. I love Cathe's workouts, but I think I'd like to shake it up a bit, other than just running.

Anyway, I'm scheduled for a run tonight, but I might swap days and make today my rest day, instead of tomorrow. I'm wiped out. I copied Susan last night and did a long workout combining Step Blast and KPC. It was fun at the time, but my legs are still tired!

Have a great day,

Ellen

LOL @ you guy wanting the TLTs. Sorry! But not really! I really love them. They really work you well.

Marie-I bought all four. I don't like the paper plate/rag concept either. I found I can modify pretty easily by just lifting my foot slightly off the ground while moving it, instead of sliding.

Laurie-enjoy your day off!!

Sarah-it really is helping having a workout buddy. I hate working out in the morning but love that now I have it done for the day lol. She could only come early today. :)

Ellen-I am also interested in one of Mindy's CIAs but honestly I have too many workout already! I could probably go a good two months without repeating.

As far as the TLTs and which ones I like (Marie), the two you mentioned are my favorites. Tracie is right up there tied with Cathe as my favorite instructor. But Tracie's two workouts have higher cardio than I like. SiM is my favorite followed closely by FYC. I was very surprised to feel that way since I love Tracie so much and never liked Susan Harris when she led in the Firm.

Okay I'd better get to work now!
Jill

Hey, Sarah - The Lowmax premixes 1-4 or 4-7 are still an awesome workout. Do you have CTX? I love doing CTX cardio when I'm short on time.

Jill - Thanks for the tip! I thought the idea of using paper plates was a little silly so I'll try your modification when my TLTs come which should be any day now!

Laurie - You deserve a day off. I still remember you doing the Boot Camp rotation during the summer and doing Ren Faire on the weekends walking and wearing a 30 pound (or something like that ;-) dress). Yikes!

Marie - I've told myself not to buy any more workouts from Target, Walmart, etc. because I usually end up disappointed. Glad you found a good one. And you're right, the Aug 05 rotation does take a lot of time or at least more workout time than I used to do. So far so good. I've been getting up 15-30 minutes earlier and making sure I get to it right away. I'm looking forward to shorter workouts though when I'm done with this rotation. ;-)

Ellen - Sounds like you had a great workout!

This morning was Step Works and Imax 1-5. I wanted to quit after Step Works but I psyched myself up with a little Diet Mountain Dew (I'm addicted) and that helped me finish. Tomorrow's workout is a little easier, thank goodness.

Have a good day everyone!

Sue

Thanks, Sue

Thanks for reminding me about the pre-mixes. I might have to do that tonight - or get as far as I can before bath time. I really SHOULD work out in the morning. Wish I could steel myself to do so. Hats off to you ladies who are up with the chickens. Yes, I do have CTX - that's such an awesome set of workouts. 10*10*10 always seems so "do-able". Thank you! - Sarah

I agree! I just can't do it! The only reason I did this morning is it was the only time today that my friend could come over. She's a realtor and has different schedules all the time (tomorrow will be at about 12:30). It helps to have her motivating me, as I said. But I still couldn't get up earlier and do it before getting the boys off to school. I'd have to get up at 5am. Ain't happnen' lol

Late birds

Yes, if I wanted to workout before work, I'd have to get up around 5:15 or so, I suppose. Urgh. I've just NEVER been a morning person. Plus my workout room is RIGHT next to my son's room, and we have hardwood floors, and I can't imagine doing something like IMAX3 while he's in the next room. It sounds like a herd of elephants, I'm sure! I'd probably wake him up, and then there would be no point in working out anyway, since I'd have to shift into Mom mode. At least that's how I justify it to myself! :) - Sarah

Good Afternoon ! I am so glad I got up at 4:15 and did my workout. I had Muscle Endurance on my list. My legs are so sore today. I know it's from all those lunges on Monday. Today during M.E. when Cathe would do her step ups on the high step I did more walking lunges( about 200 total). Now my legs are geting back at me! I was called into work again this morning so I am glad I talked myself into getting up early. I will also be taking our dog for a long walk in little bit. She makes me walk very fast. I hope she can slow down a little today! She's a hunting dog though and she just puts her nose to ground and goes!:)
I don't even know what is on the agenda for Cathe's January Rotation tomorrow. I am afraid to look! Have a good night and rest up - Susan
