Good morning ladies! Did I miss yesterday's thread? I was super busy with work but looked a couple of times and didn't see it. Laurie goes away and nobody else starts our thread?! :)

Today is the big day; DS's driving test. It's at noon in Janesville and I am really hoping that the ice is melted! I went to get our paper out of the driveway and all the cement is icy. NOT ideal conditions for a driver's test! I hope it melts by noon!

My friend never came over yesterday. So that's 2 days in a row she missed. :( I hope we can get on a regular schedule once school starts again on Monday. She has her son in daycare 2 days a week, so that plus the weekend should mean we should be able to workout together 4 days a week. I plan to keep it to mostly cardio and awt with her for awhile. I will do weights on the days she's not here.

So I've had SJP on our "rotation" now for three days! I made up a 2 week rotation and at this rate it will take us 6 weeks to get through it!

Okay enough whining.........hopefully we'll work it out next week.

Jill - Hi! No, there wasn't a thread yesterday. Call it laziness on my part or blame the fact that the "wild boys" (friends of DS's) were over here yesterday afternoon and they kept me busy. They're really cute little boys but they sure have a knack for getting into trouble (as most boys do). Hope your DS passes his driving test! He's probably taking it as I'm writing this.

Anyway, been continuing with the August rotation. Yesterday was SJP + KM leg drills. Today was Imax2 and later I'll do the 3rd seg. of Coremax. Diet has not been so great. Guess I'll just try to maintain until next week when everything is back to normal.

Broke down and ordered 2 workouts: Mindy Mylrea's Extreme Intervals and TJ Cardio Party. EI was on sale for $5 - can't beat that! Even though it's VHS, for 5 bucks it's worth it. Got 20% off the TJ. Been sitting on the fence for awhile on this so now I guess I'll see if I like it. Just ordered the 1 workout. Someone on VF very nicely posted a link to the page where you can order individual titles.

Going to Sun Prairie this afternoon to see my mom.

Jill - thinking of you since the test should be happening right now! Hope he passes. Sorry your workout buddy is not showing up regularly. But just go on without her so she doesn't mess you up on your goals.

Sue - good job with your rotation. Nice to start the year with some new workouts! Although TJ may take a while to arrive. Let us know your thoughts when you do these.

I got a workout in on Tuesday morning and then got sick so that slowed me up. Fortunately it seems to be a short-lived type and I am feeling better already. Although I stopped at the drug store and got all sorts of things that claim to help/shorten the duration etc.

Maybe next week more of the group will be back checking in!
 
Hi there ladies! We are back and Taylor passed! The instructor told me he's an "excellent driver" lol. I hope he retains some of the good habits!

I did workout this morning before we left. I pulled out Total Body Sculpting and did the 45 minute premix for the first time. It was tough! You do each segment two times, right in a row. I was stunned that my muscles, esp. triceps, could feel such a burn with 3 lb. dumb bells!

My friend is supposed to come over at 5 for our "real" workout-the SJP premix. I hope she comes.

I'm just happy I don't have to give DS a ride to school to catch the bus for basketball in the middle of our workout. :)

Jill - Happy to hear he passed. Thanks for letting us know. Also thanks for the info on the TBS premix - sounds like a good one to try. I love working my triceps!
 
Hi, Marie! Sorry to hear you were feeling under the weather. I'm fighting a cold myself. BTW, I just ordered CP1, not the whole TJ set. I hope it doesn't take too long time to arrive. Which do you think I'll get 1st - CP1 or the new Cathes? :D

I got some good exercise time in today! My friend did come over and we did 55 minutes of a couple of different videos. She really likes Tamilee's Tighter Assets Weight Loss; it's much easier to follow than the first one we started, Christy Taylor's Totally Cool Step.
