BuddyBike...A Tandem Bike Designed For Use With Kids

RE: BuddyBike...A Tandem Bike Designed For Use With Kid...

Very cool:) I had something similar when my Kids were little. It was an attachment that had it's own handle bars and pedals (looked kind of like a bike with no front wheel). It was attached by taking the seat off of my regular bike, placing the cuff over the post and re-attaching my seat. It was a great transition from riding with training wheels to riding independantly and allowed us to go much farther than we could have with a little one on their own. Cycling as a family is so much fun:)

Gina, that's exactly what I was trying to say:7 We sure got a lot of miles out of ours and had no problem finding someone to hand it down to:)

Hi girls. The tag-alongs are nice for when a kid isn't mature enough to ride a bike alone on longer rides. You can also get them with dual tires that makes them more stable.

The Buddybike (Lovebike) posted above would be ideal for situation's where a child can sit on the bike and hold on, but can't pedal, such as an autistic child. Also, in a situation where the child is disabled, you wouldn't want them on a tag-along behind you where they could possibly fall off. This is where the Buddybike design excels because your child is always in front of you where you can see what they are doing and you can carry on a conversation with them because they are not behind you.

Happy biking!
