BRRRR from southern Louisiana

It is some kind of cold outside, even down here in southern LA. No sun at all today, and more rain tonight with possible icing.

I don't know about you guys, but cold weather like this makes me want to cook. I have a huge pot of minestrone soup on the stove right now. This recipe is so yummy and so healthy at the same time! Here's the link:

Unfortunately, I have way too much, so I will freeze some, and spend several days eating the rest. I like cooking, but I do not like not having someone to share it with!

I'm glad I don't have to go back to work for the next 6 days. I'm going to hibernate. Hope the rest of you guys stay warm.

BRRRRRRRRR from Southern Alabama too .. but I am not complaining compared to what most of the rest of the country is getting I just checked out the weather photos @ wunderground.com ... OH MY .. IL and MI and MN YIKES ....not to mention all the other states that have snow and ice I feel for you guys ...

Sure hope the groundhog knows what he is talking about .. ready for Old Man Winter to take a break!!!!

Hey, it snowed in Austin this morning. Woke up this morning to a nice blanket of about 3". Not a big deal to me, since I'm a Jersey girl, but the gym sure was empty & that was nice. The spin instructor made it in & that's all I cared about. ha!

It was a BRRRRR day again today, with lots of rain. Luckily, it did not freeze as they had predicted. We are water-logged, so the sun will be a good thing tomorrow. I feel for those folks dealing with all the snow in the Midwest and Northeast. I don't like it down here in the summer, but the winters are bearable.

Live in MI, I would rather deal with snow than ice anytime. About 16" fell and about 2' on the ground. No thundersnow though, only ChicagoLand got that.
