I don't know yet!!!!! Won't know for a few days, but I may pick up a test and check before then. I did a cervix check and if I was...it would have been closed and high and it's not...so now I'm leaning towards no. But you will be the FIRST to know!! Thanks for asking Mel!!!! I'll keep in touch!!

How do you do the cervix check? I check my mucosal discharge, but I normally don't guy that "deep". Do you have to get real deep to check? If so, I suppose you need to have a baseline check?

We operate completely by natural family planning around here so I have learned to do cervix checks throughout the month to determine when I'm ovulating. The cervix is "strictly" a sign though, the real way to tell is through mucus and temperature changes. (check out "taking charge of your fertility" - I think that's what it's called). Anyway...when I'm pregnant the cervix always moves up very high to where I can barely reach it and it is not that way AND...I just got my period about 2 hours ago. Sooooooo....we can safely say that I'm not pregnant. Kind of funny how one gets sort of used to thinking that "okay, so we weren't planning on any more, but now I'm getting used to the idea and now I'm kind of bummed a little".

Sorry I can't join you as a prego, but we really are coming to that stage where we think we would like to remain this way and I want my kids to have lots of kids so I can be a grandparent!!!! (boy I sound old). I still believe deep down that one of these days .....

AND, it was fun to visit you guys in prego land even for a brief moment!! I will continue praying for you Melanie!!

I just realized that I didn't answer your question exactly. If you want me to get really technical...you must insert a finger and feel for the cervix, once you get accustomed to doing this it becomes pretty easy to feel any changes. It moves up and down at various points in the cycle. I remember when Noah was born, I did all the cervix checks while I was delivering. I was telling dh exactly where babies head was, how far down he was moving, what "station" he was at. I'm so used to doing this now it's second nature. It really is cool to be completely in tune with your body. But, let me tell ya, I thought I really was pregnant - and I was wrong. There's a reason for everything;-) ;) ;) .

I learned how to do the cervix checks from the Taking Charge of your Fertility Book, but I don't think they discussed this when it relates to delivery. Since my dh delivered our last three babies we read EVERYTHING regarding delivery so I can't pinpoint which book it was in. Have a great day guys.

Briee, hard to believe but Alexis is almost 4 1/2 and now has quite the personality. Ashley is already 19 months and quite chatty!
 
Got it!!!!!! Thank you Nina & Elyse!!!!!! I can't wait to read it. I brought it work today and all us ladies marveled over the cervix pics. Ha Ha :D :D

Mel, I got pregnant with alexis 2 months after reading the book. Of course it was relations with DH that got my pregnant, not just reading the book.LOl! When you are done with the book just pass it along to someone else trying to conceive. I am done!
 
Elyse, I'm reading and trying to learn (quickly with boys in tub)! That is so thoughtful, passing it along. I will certainly pass it. Perhaps us girls need to sign off on it. LOL

Yuk. I don't know if I can do temps in the morning. I get up around 5, and if I recall correctly your supposed to do it BEFORE you get out of bed? There are four of us in that bed (DH, Justin--on floor, and Jadon--cuddled up with me). ;) We'll see.

I've done CM checks for years. I"m marveling over the cervix right now. It's amazing how it changes throughout the month. I feel like I've missed things for years,...it's really cool. ;)
