breast cysts

I have had trouble with cysts for about 2 or 3 years now. I have read 60% of women suffer from this at some point. I have eliminated caffeine from my diet for about 9 months, but still have some trouble with them. To any of you who may have had this condition, have you found any remedies that help? I am tired of the fear that I feel whenever I find one. Do I need to go to the Dr. every time I find one? I fear I will be glowing "radiantly" if I need a mammogram each time. Please share your insights. Thanks,Sher

How many mammos do you get? I don't have problems with cysts, but I would suggest that if your insurance will pay for it, you ask your doctor to do an ultrasound instead of a mammo next time you feel a new cyst. They're more accurate too.

I have tons of fibrocysts . I actually had a flare up and got a mammogram but thank goodness it came back okay. I havent really tried to cut caffeine out because the only caffeine I take in is chocolate and I wont give that up. I drink pop off and on but not daily. Mine are the tiny cluster like cysts , they run in my family.
I dont think you would have to get a mammogram unless there was a big change like I did. hope that helps!

I WILL BE 42 AT THE END OF THE MONTH AND I HAVE A CYST IN MY LEFT BREAST THAT I CANNOT FEEL. EACH TIME I GO FOR MY MAMM (IT HAS BEEN THERE THE LAST 2 TIMES, THE FIRST TIME IT REALLY FREAKED ME OUT) THEY END UP DOING ANOTHER SET OF PICTURES AND USUALLY AN ULTRASOUND. I GO THIS TUES. AND MY DOC JUST ORDERED ADDITIONAL VIEWS IF THEY FEEL THE NEED, SO I DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK, IT CAN ALL BE DONE IN ONE DAY. I HOPE IT IS GONE. I TOO DO NOT DRINK A LOT OF CAFFEINE, NO COFFEE, SOME LIPTON GREEN TEA ON OCCASION OR THE NEEDED PIECE OF CHOCOLATE. I HAVE HEARD OF PRIMROSE AND VIT. E & D FOR BREAST HEALTH, BUT DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL HELP WITH CYSTS. I KNOW THAT MOST WOMEN HAVE CYSTS, SOME YOU CAN FEEL AND SOME NOT. REGARDLESS, IT IS WORRISOME AT TIMES, I KNOW. MY DOCTOR, WHOM I SAW YESTERDAY, SAID THEY VERY RARELY LEAD TO ANYTHING. I HOPE THIS HELPS, BUT IT IS BETTER TO BE CAUTIOUS.
