Boyfriend says my workouts are easy!!!

Hey everyone,
My boyfriend does not workout at all, and last night he told me that my workouts aren't that hard. He hasn't even seen them yet! I told him that he wouldn't last anytime doing a workout with me. He said he could complete a workout with me with no problem. I'm going to prove him wrong by getting him to do one of Cathe's strength training workouts with me. I'm debating between Power Hour and Muscle Endurance, which one do you think I should have him do? Any advice is appreciated!!!

My husband tried one of my firms once (Body Sculpt). He used about half the weight I use and could barely walk the next day. I'm pretty sure Cathe would kill him.

Might I suggest Imax 2 or Bootcamp. You can do anything for a minute, right?

I can't imagine anyone normal would look at Cathe's workouts and say, "pshaw! I could totally do that!"

I would suggest a cardio workout. My husband never works out, but he can still lift more than I can. However, whenver we do anything cardio wise I kick his butt!

When my hubby finally exercised with me, doing his own weight routine while I did muscle max, he was surprised.

I don't think he thought my workouts were so much work! He likes the effect though.

I vote for Muscle Endurance. Pick one that he will be able to follow. Wouldn't be fair if he didn't have the time to work on "getting the steps", like we all have to do at some point. This way, no excuses.

I use 2 20# dumbells for leg presses...see if he can match the chics! The leg presses will keep him quiet!

How badly do you want him to suffer? }( }( }( }( }(

Power Hour is what I vote for. It is shorter of the two, so it isn't as cruel. }( }( }( }( He may need to walk tomorrow, and you don't want him to be afraid of you, after all. Or maybe you do. ;)

Definitely Bootcamp or ME. My DH tried Bootcamp and quit after 10 minutes. Now he understands my workouts are tough:)

I'd say Boot Camp, Muscle Endurance or the BC/ME bonus premix followed by the Kick Max high intensity drills.

Please tell us how he survives, if he survives}( }( }( .

Maggie's got it... The BootCamp/Me Bonus premix. That's a nice little workout. If he can walk after than, I'll be impressed!

I just love doing this to "Nay sayers". My DH and I hike and run together. He knows what I can do. He sees me dripping with sweat and panting hard and says, "Wow, she must be killer." Then he had me put together a weight routine for him for the gym.

Keep us informed after he works out. My 18-year-old son did Gym Style Back, Shoulders, and Biceps. He started out trying to use the same weight Cathe uses and was so worn out by the time the biceps section started, he was using 5 and 8 pounders. :) He also took a nap once the workout was over. It was great.
