Boy I missed working out

NRG Woman

Cathlete
As many of you know I have been very sick this year. I had a few good weeks in June and tried to workout, but relapsed in July and was back to being bedridden. I am finally beginning to be able to work out again, but my fitness level is low. Really low. Shockingly poor, is this how couch potatoes feel? But anyway...DH finished my new workout floor this past weekend (pictures to follow later when I figure out how to post them). Last night I was able to do 20 minutes of Turbo Jam and today I did 25 minutes of Step Heat. Can I tell you that was probably the most fun thing I did all year. I smiled the whole time while I was doing my feeble attempt at working out. I had such a good time I felt really empowered and in those minutes had an overwhelming sense that my life was going to be just fine. I look forward to being able to continue to get better every day. At some point I will be able to finish a whole workout, but until then I am reveling in my ability to be able to workout in any form, especially on my really amazing new floor:D.

Shayne: Hi! :D You just concentrate on getting better and stronger, your strength will gradually get back to 100% I am sure, you doing two workouts is such great improvement, how wonderful:) Wishing you the best!:)

Glad your feeling better and stay healthy for a long long time.

That's awesome your getting a new workout floor...I'm jealous...smile.

Way to go. Glad you are feeling better. A little each day is great and before you know it your will be doing the complete workout. Just let your body continue to heal itself and you will be back on track.

Don't beat yourself up, Shayne. It takes awhile to get back up to full speed. Just do what you can until you get there and know that anything you do will be a big improvement and will make you feel better. Welcome back.

Yeah!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the workout. I took 6 weeks off (completely) last year. It was tough, but when I started again, it felt like heaven. Even the DOMS felt wonderful! I'm stronger than ever!!! I know that 6 weeks is nothing compared to what you've been through, but I'm sending you a SHOUT OUT to say--YEAH!!!! :D
