Bouncing Back

Hi--
Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm a faithful exerciser and totally loyal to Cathe, and for the first time ever I was knocked out by the flu. It's been three weeks since I've been able to work out and (finally) next week I get to come back.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on exactly how you would 'ease' back into working out? How much ground do you lose on your fitness level in three weeks?
Just wondering. Any words of advice would be so helpful!

Hi Deirdra---I'm sorry to hear you've had the flu. Now that you're ready to tackle your exercise again I would suggest doing a week of what you would consider your light day workouts. After the first week if your feeling strong attempt your old routine. I think you will be suprised at how soon your fitness level will return. I find that when I've been ill and return to exercise that I have a fresh sense of commitment and usually make some true improvements toward my fitness goals. Good luck and good health to you--------Ranae.
