bosu or body dome?

DebD

Cathlete
I was thinking about buying either the bosu or the body dome. Does anyone know if one is better than the other? I can get the body dome for less money & it includes 2 videos.

Thanks,
Debbie

Debbie,

I have a Bosu and really like it. It came with one video, and then you can get a second video, "Absolutely Abs", for just s&h ($4.95). There was a thread a month or so back, I think it was "bosu on sale", where someone mentioned they had seen the bosu on a website for around $75.00 plus s&h. I bought mine at Sports Authority for $99.99.

I know very littel about the body dome; I haven't seen one in person. I know that the body dome comes with resistance bands. If you can remove them, then there's probably no real difference. If you can't remove them, then I think the bands would get in your way if you were doing cardio, or more advanced weight work.

Just my two cents!

Debbie, I recently purchased a BOSU & love it. It did not include any videos but was about $75. I'm focusing on balance & core strength by using the Mindy Myrlea/Kelli Roberts DVD (from Mindy's website) & a Candace Copeland Brooks DVD. A lot of pilates moves could be done on the BOSU, but one doesn't need a special BOSU/pilates video. Actually once you get some ideas from some BOSU workouts, one can just integrate the BOSU with tapes/DVD's you already have.

The quality is fine.

Debra,

Where did you get the bosu for $75?

P.S. Thanks everyone for your responses.

Hi Debbie~looks like this is the thread for "Deb's"! Here is a link to where I got my BOSU for just under $75.00. It comes with a video too. I am rehabing an injury right now so I have not been able to use the vid yet. I really like my BOSU for ABS and side oblique work. I can't wait to try it for leg work and cardio. If you want to know how much S/H was, let me know and I'll see if I can find my receipt. The customer service was great and I had it within a week to 10 days. Can't remember exactly. Hope this helps a little.

I bought my BOSU from Solutions too, great price, a discount coupon too. It arrived quickly. It did come with a video which remains unopened (& forgotten) since I had the 2 DVD's. Too bad they're out of stock.

I can tell you that reverse crunches on a BOSU are tough. And if you now find supermans mundane, go fly on the BOSU.

I'm guessing that if someone loves & uses their stability ball, they'd love & use a BOSU. They're both great tools for core strength but the BOSU has a lot more uses.

DH attempted ab work on the BOSU once & has not gone near it since.
