Bootleg or Not?

I just bought Timesaver off Ebay and I have a feeling it's a fake. The picture on the DVD is a poor quality. I haven't played it yet but is that a sign? Should I leave negative feedback on a suspicion?
 
I think if you order a Cathe DVD off of ebay pretty much it's going to be fake. Especially, if the picture on the DVD cover is poor quality. None of Cathe's real DVDs are like that.
 
Not all , i have gotten rid of like basic step and i am probably going to list timesaver, and CTX. I never use it... Not all are fake.
I think if you paid 10 bucks for a 75.00 dvd it is most likely a fake...
There are some good ones out there...
 
There may be some good ones out there...but I have seen time and time again over the years, people coming on here posting they got fake Cathes off of ebay...I'd definitely be wary.
 
i just "won" a few of cathe dvds on ebay-- and i'm weary now that they may be bootlegs. one said "sealed" and i thought it was new- now looking back on the listing the condition is listed as "used"... used but sealed??? that sounds fishy to me. i won't be buying from that person again.

i have one listed now on ebay- "high step circuit"- i accidently bought a second copy. it's not bootleg. used only once. i think i'll be buying from individuals selling their own copies for now unless i hear from the forum about a reputable seller.
 
The DVD cover looks good but the picture on the DVD itself doesn't look so good. Is it right to leave bad feedback on a "suspicion"? And "what if" I don't like the DVD? I can't sell it back on ebay since I'm not convinced it's authentic, can I?
 
Was the timesaver dvd used? Because I just sold one on ebay and I can garuntee it is real. I don't know if you bought mine, but it was the only one for sale on there.
 
No, that's not me. I thought it could be me cuz when I listed mine last week there weren't any other timesavers on there.

Not true. I've sold Cathe DVD's on Ebay and they were originals (I just didn't want them).

Though if someone is selling multiple copies of a title (and not just single copies they bought and don't want), there's a much higher chance that it's a bootleg copy.

Hi Kathryn :)..yeah I corrected myself above your post.
I've seen SO many posts about people getting fakes off of ebay, how can you be 100% sure? I guess that's just my thinking though.

If it's a fake I would leave negative feedback to let other people know. But make sure it's a fake.

I bought a bootleg P90x- I knew it was a bootleg when I bought it but I didn't care because I saved so much money. So what if they are copies? They still work.

I guess it doesn't bother some people, *shrug* but it bothers me that these people are doing something illegal aren't they? Making money off of Cathe's and other companies' legit businesses.

Also, if I think I'm paying for something that's real and it's fake, I feel like I got scammed and they got one over on me.
 
Not ALL are fakes. I have sold approximately 5 or 6 over a two year period, and some were still sealed. Please do not group us as all dishonest. However one should be wary of the same seller selling the same ones over and over unless they have excellent feedback and have been with ebay a long time.

Soooo sorry you guys! I take back what I said... I cannot go back and edit what I said at first...it's too late. I corrected myself after my first post....

I've seen so many complaints on here about fakes.
Again....there are many that are bad...you just have to be careful.

ETA: It's too bad the bad sellers have to make it so hard for the good sellers. :(
 
I would NEVER sell a copy on eBay but have sold close to 100 exercise DVDs and VHS on eBay...for me it's a way to rotate my exercise collection and keep it fresh. I am not leary of buying media on eBay, I have NEVER been scamed...as long as you read the sellers feedback profile, you should be fine. ;)
