Book recs? (something fun, fresh, light?)

Vacay's coming up this week, and I need some book suggestions. I love chick-lit and want something fresh, light, sexy. Any recently published books you recommend?

What's chick-lit? I would say go for the Janet Evanovich series, but I don't know if you've already read them. They're lots of fun!

I haven't read too much that has been published recently save for court cases and Harry Potter. Sorry I can't be of much help!

I've never read Janet Evanovich books, but perhaps I'll give them a try...THX!

I need paperback suggestions (trying to make this a light trip in luggage and mood!) Light, fun, no heavy drama!

I love the Evanovich books- there are I think 9 by now, and she's a New Jersey lingerie saleswoman turned Bounty Hunter. She's a kick!!

Very entertaining, but probably not what you're looking for exactly...

Amy I love that series! Whenever I want to read something fun that I can just disappear into I go for those. I'm up to number 5 now. Great vacation reading, IMO. The books are a hoot without being dopey.

There's supposed to be a Stephanie Plumb movie in production soon.

The Evanovich series is up to 10. I just finished 10 Big Ones. It was so funny, and light. You may also like Sue Grafton. She is great. Her series go through the alphabet, A for Alabi, etc. I have also read all hers. It is about a private investigator, a female, also very funny!

I really enjoy Janet Evanovich. Her last Stephanie Plum book was Eleven on Top. She has a twelfth coming in June. Also Jennifer Crusie is a fun read. Light hearted. These are authors I tend to drop a book I am already into and read, knowing they will be fun and go way to quickly. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is another. Not quite as light as the other two but fun and enjoyable. All have humor and romance with an interesting story.

I second Jennifer Crusie - she is hilarious! I just read Fast Women a couple of months ago and loved it! I read Welcome to Temptation, too, which was also pretty hilarious.

Evanovich's books are great. Have you read any of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic books? They are very entertaining.

Newswoman, have you heard of / checked out Mary Kay Andrews? She writes books that take place in Savannah, Madison and Atlanta. Noticing that you were from Atlanta thought you might enjoy them. I am reading her book Little Bity Lies right now and am loving it!
