Book Recommendation

I'm a huge fan of anything "spiritual" that allows me to learn just how powerful my mind and body are, and I found a book that is probably the most powerful book I've read in a VERY LONG while.

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

This book is along the lines of The Secret but takes it about ten steps further. Since I started reading the book, so many positive things have happened in my life. I've really felt and experienced what she discusses in the book. My husband has been reading the book, as well, and says the same thing. He says he just feels more positive and finds himself reacting more calmly, positively, and constructively to situations that would have caused him a meltdown before.

At any rate, just wanted to share.

I also have the Louise Hay book. Sometimes I think just looking at it helps. I saw her on Oprah[ and while I was not impressed with the others on the show, I was impressed by Louise Hay. Books like The Secret are not for me but I think Louise Hay is in a class by herself.

My sister-in-law recommended Louise Hay to me recently. I too read mostly psych-spiritual (I just made that up :p ) stuff and thoroughly enjoy when I can apply the advice. I'll hunt for it in my library.

I didn't like The Secret as much. Though the general idea is a great one, I felt the book itself was way too repetitive. (Plus I sense there's a conflict between the idea of intention and a basic principle of Buddhism that I'm trying to practice, but that's a whole other issue.)

The practice of gratitude is another way to add joy to your life. :)

Thanks for the "review". This one is going on my list. I read The Secret and also found it repetitive but did like the general concept and TRY (keyword "try" to apply it in my life)... I'm going to check out Louise Hay on amazon and order it (ahhh, but it will take away from the next Cathe dvd that I order )
