body max - wow!

So after all of you raved about body max on the road trip, I finally got it. I just went through 2 days of bad food and no exercise, so I really needed to push it into gear again.

All I can say is wow! What a great workout. And for all those people who don't like doing lowmax on an 8" step, how do you do body max? I couldn't believe she starts on the 8". I LOVED this workout. Now I just have to find a better way to work the whole thing into my day - I definitely think it's a "get up early" one just because it's so long.

I did BMax a few weeks ago. I hadn't used it for quite a while and had forgotten what a good workout it is.

It's a bit of everything. Warm up - 24 minutes of step, 20 minutes circuit training that focuses on lower body, and then 30 minutes of upper body weight training and an ab routine at the end. It's 91 minutes long - so it's a long workout, but it's worth it. I burned major calories!

If you have the DVD it's also very easy to split up. Her stepping is a little fast in this workout and the first few times I did it I couldn't tell you how many times I tripped over my step, a few times landing on my arse! Although it contains a little of everything, I don't consider it a circuit workout because you do all the cardio first. You can go heavy on the upper body weights if you want an extra challenge.

I hope she makes another Body Max style workout some day. I like this format better than a circuit style workout. It gives me better results.

Leslie - I have to agree - I hope she makes another one like this, because I feel as if I've really gotten a workout - both cardio and weights - not a little of each.
