Body Fusion Set equipment

I have been using Cathe's weight lifting workouts for a while and love them, but have yet to venture into step workouts. I am hoping for an opinion on the Body Fusion set from Target/Walmart. It seems like a good deal, since I need a step, ball (the one of I have now is not very good quality) and a basic Cathe step video. I noticed that in previous videos, Cathe and the gang use the Original Club step, which seems a bit bigger and more sturdy. Also, they use a different ball in past videos. Even though the Body Fusion set is a lot cheaper than buying everything individually, I was wondering if I would be unhappy with the equipment long term as I progress and would be buying new equipment later anyway, or if the equipment (step and ball) are adequate for me to use long term. If I would be buying more equipment later anyway, then it would really be more expensive in the long term (as was the case will the current exercise ball I use). Please let me know your opinions.

Thanks!

I don't have the Target set but I do have the original club step and that's the one I'd recommend. My step is very old. I bought it back when they first became available and step w/o's were the latest fitness craze. That thing has seen a lot of mileage over the years and it looks like new. It's very sturdy. Also, the risers for the club version fit the high step as well, making it more affordable to add that piece to fitness equiptment. HTH:)

Diane I bought a set from Walmart. It had a step and the Basic Step DVD. It probably depends on how much you'll be using the step. If that's not one of your more favorite things to do then I think that step will be fine. I, however, love to step and use it frequently and find that the size bothers me. I can't tell you how many times I have been totally absorbed into the workout and have fallen. Thankfully I have been able to laugh at myself so far but I'm afraid one of these days I might really hurt myself. So, I believe I will buying a different step soon...

Thanks for your feedback! It looks like my suspicions were right about a step for that price.

Anyone have a exercise ball they would like to recommend?
