i gained some weight over the last couple months--- finally had the courage to weigh myself--- it was only 8 pounds....seems like a whole lot more. i had very low body fat--- could that have increased a lot and not shown in pounds?

the old saying goes "muscle weights more than fat".

I have hit the weights pretty hard for me this year and though my scale hasn't budged, I am fittin into pants that I couldn't at the beginning of the year. And what is crazy is that my measurements haven't changed much, my lower bod is just tighter and leaner.

I have also put on several pounds in the last few months. When I weigh myself it's only about 4-5 pounds, but I really look like I gained at least 10 or so.

I'm know that I lost a lot of muscle and my bodyfat % went up. The difference just isn't showing on the scale. It's why I just never go by scale weight. The scale never tells the whole story.

1 pound of fat takes up more space per inch than 1 pound of muscle does in the body.
