body fat?

Well I am 48 and I still can't see such a big change without a weight/size change. I do know I need to tone more. I was off weights due to injuries for about 5 or 6 months. But still,I have watched what I ate, done what I could and still wear all the same clothes.
I guess at 26 - 27 % I am in the normal range according to your nutritionist. I wonder if I am being silly to want to get back to the 17% bf again. sigh.

I know people who say they are around 19% and I am as tone or fit as they are so I dont know how the mearsurements can be so different. Its confusing to me. I guess I dont want to get too into this other wise I will start obsessing about that number too. Ifeel as though my body needs some toning but over all I would say it looks pretty good. we all have our areas that need improved upon but I know I am not a flabby person. It is however hard to tone certain areas up. I am still having a problem with the tri's, and that dreaded bra flap. YIKES!!!!!

Interesting to me that the chart doesn't say what is too low. Correct me if I'm wrong but for women especially isn't it possible to go too low?

I had my body fat tested about 4 years ago and I was something like 20 percent, I'm more muscular now so I guess I'd be a tad bit lower than that. Like Charlotte says, as long as nothing's hanging over, I'm happy. :D

Thank you Anne! I am wearing that dress Saturday night for a Gala event for my work. I will have to update the pic's when I have my hair done too. The men will have to be lovin me from a distance or DH will have a fit! LOL!

Thanks for the reality check laura and sparrow. And laura I also obssess about the dreaded bra flap...just can't seem to hit that spot yet but now that I found cathe...maybe?
I too must realize that I look pretty darn good for my age, 26% or not.

I use calipers.

I do not like the Omron and the Tanita scale BF analyzers. They're always at least 10 higher than what the calipers say for me. I had mine done at the gym using calipers and also used them on my own.

I'll stick with the calipers.

Also, it helps to go by how your clothes fit you, what size you wear and how solid you feel!
