Body fat scales

Hello, everyone!

I just got a Curves scale that measures body fat, bone density, hydration level, and of course weight. Though it was normal on the table of levels provided with the scale, I was taken aback that my body fat was 32.3%. I'm 5 ft. 9 and my weight is 140. All my levels but hydration were "within normal limits." Still, seeing that 32.2% was a bit disheartening!

What's everyone else's BF percentage, if you don't mind sharing?

I wouldn't put too much faith in that percentage as it's done through the impedence method. The only true way to measure BF% is water displacement, then calipers next. I have the same scale and use it for weight and tracking the trend of BF%, not the actual number.

The BF% reading is affected by hydration level. Dehydration will cause a higher reading. But as already posted, it isn't that accurate.
