body fat question

What is supposed to represent the healthy bodyfat percentage? Does anyone remember what the number is for women? Is is anywhere from 15 to 25, I'm curious?

Thanks for the help. You know when I read that, they said that a person has to be careful not to lose too much weight in the quest to lose body fat because you could be losing muscle. So what is the best way to lose body fat and not muscle, interval training or longer aerobic training? Or either, I like the goal they had set for that woman of 18% bodyfat. That seems great and she wouldn't be rail thin. So how do you get to that? Anyone could reply, thanks. Especially all of you who are at a great bodyfat percentage.

Thanks again, I had already posted the question on the other site under ask Cathe. Thanks for responding so quickly I appreciate it. I didn't know if I'd get another response. Thanks
