Body Beast* modifying official 90 days rotation

Hi Everyone,

I would like to discuss topic above sharing views and rotation of the program.

At this point, I am just drafting my future rotation. I will be opting for the metabolic rotation.
The lean one cause it does meet my goal. I a mesomorph and I am particularly interested in views
from any mesomorph who has done the program.

Should anyone else endo or ectomorph wish to join the discussion, please feel free to do so.

Here are my questions:

  • Did you do the official program.
  • If you did a shorter version, how long did you embark on? Any result:)
  • would you mind sharing your rotation?
I will be opting for the lean beast program with 3 *weeks* build, 5 bulk and 4 lean. Adding up to 12 weeks.
90 days.

My plan is to do 3,3 and 6. What are your thoughts on this?:)

Kind Regards,

Hope to hear from you soon.

Nathalie - for what it's worth, I did the lean programme, as written (except I got bored with the same cardio, so occasionally did another, equivalent). I used the Tempo workouts where possible (because I love them). I didn't follow the nutrition (I don't use protein powders, shakes etc). I didn't think there was very much difference between the different phases (all hypertrophy). I gained size in my back and shoulders mostly. I was very happy.

I think you've said before that you enjoy leg days? BB ones are a killer!

Oh, and I added a few yoga sessions per week.

This is basically what I did as well. Gains in back and shoulders.

My rotation ended up being 4 weeks Build, 4 weeks Bulk, and 4 weeks Lean. Because of the way my schedule is, I ended up stretching the Build section to 4 weeks. During Bulk, I got bored after 4 weeks of the same thing over and over again so I dropped a week. Plus, I was not a fan of the speed used in those workouts. I think if I had not gotten the Tempo DVD which I used during the Lean phase, I would have been bored again going back to the same workouts from Build.

Now, it may sound like I didn't like the program, but I really did. I made some great gains, especially in the shoulders and back, just like Justine.

I wouldn't mind revisiting the program, but I would do a shorter rotation, maybe 2, 2, 2, or mix in other weight workouts to fight the boredom.

By the way, I consider myself an ectomorph.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. Not sure I will follow the nutrition plan. I will be eating clean as usual though.

To justine, do you now fit fine in your clothes after back and shoulders increase? Was it a temporary size increase or you have added muscle mass?

Kind regards ladies,

Nathalie - definitely a true gain. Very defined back and shoulders. I'm delighted!
My legs, as Sagi would say, were 'Quadzilla legs'! But that was temporary (like rwh - a real thigh-sweller).
Heavy UB, higher reps / metabolic / circuits for LB are best for me.
I'm assuming you've read through the main Body Beast post on this forum? Many more thoughts and opinions and good ideas.

Hi Nathalie,
I did the Huge Beast schedule 3/6/3 weeks. The 6 weeks of build went on forever lol. I did not do cardio, and lower body was minimal (during my ankle injury). Shoulders and back were most noticable for me too. Shirts didn't fit for a while (swelling) but I added a bit of muscle too. I am a meso (with endo tendencies). I was not eating the best. I did the last 3 weeks with the cutting phase of the nutritional guide and lost 7 lbs (and continue to slowly lose more since then).

I think your 3/3/6 plan sounds really great, especially if you make use of the Tempo workouts (or Slow and Heavy, which I used). It will add variety. I look forward to doing BB again. :D

Thanks ladies for chiming in.

I will purchase tempo and might add in slow and heavy in my rotation.

I have not looked at the nutrition plan yet but will definitely look into it.

Kind Regards,
