Does anyone do this diet?I have read about them and have talked w/a trainer about it but i was wondering if anyone has done this?It seemed kind of weird that you would have to cut so many very healthy foods out of your diet...everything from certain spices to friuts and vegetables and dairy products.I was just curious..i know one of the things also was even the different types of protein:for example ..for my blood type i should have soy protein instead of whey and i wondered if that really made a huge difference.Or not being able to eat oranges and strawberries...those are about the best fruit!!!I am a firm believer in a very well balanced diet so cutting out good healthy food seemed a little odd to me.

Smiley2 - My sister-n-law did this awhile back. She only lasted about 5 wks and lost NO weight. All she did was drive everyone crazy! Hmmmm....don't know enough about it. Only what I heard from her. Maybe someone else will ahve a good story to share?

My husband & I have been eating according to the Blood Type Diet for 5 years and have noticed a tremendously positive difference in our health & well being.

There's a reason for categorizing some foods as 'avoid' for your blood type. For me, I discovered that the 'avoid' foods that I ate contributed to me getting sick several times a year and was the cause of some of my respiratory allergies, not to mention lack of energy. When I replaced the 'avoid' foods with 'highly beneficial' & other 'blood-type compatible' foods it made a noticeable difference in my health & well being. I have more energy, sleep better, and don't get sick as often as I used to. For my husband, he no longer experiences heartburn or suffers from bronchitis, sinusitis, ear infections, etc. Within the first 6 months he lost almost 20 pounds (without exercise) and has been able to keep it off since we started 5 years ago.

Also, do you wonder why some people prefer strenuous exercise while others prefer calming, relaxing exercise? Our genetic makeup (or blood type) determines that.

The book goes into more information about it. Do you have the book? I highly recommend reading it (Eat Right for your Type & Live Right for your Type). Also, check out the website: www.dadamo.com
