Blog questions

Are blogs viewable only by registered members?

I'm contemplating putting some stuff in 'my' blog, but I've always been a bit turned off by the idea of exposing one's online journal to the whole world (not that I'm going to put in things that the whole world couldn't see).

Also, some of the posts I'm thinking of putting in the blog are a few answers I provided to questions on threads that people thought were particularly helpful (on here and on VF). I'm thinking stuff like a post on advice for choosing weighted gloves, a 'glute-building' rotation some found helpful (which I'll have to search for, because I don't have it myself!), for example (so if the question comes up again, I don't have to type out my typical long answer, or search for the previous response in past threads).

Does that sound like a good use for my blog space? (that is: would other forum members find it useful?) (If not, I could expound at length on my cats, LOL!).

I say go for it! I have to say I'm intrigued by the glute building rotation. I guess I'll be searching for that too!

Just remember. There better be pics posted with the kitty entries.

I think it would be extremely helpful (and easier for you lol). I just tried logging out and I was still able to see the blogs though. But hey, maybe your blog could help convert a potential Catheite. Help them see the light Kathryn! :D

I think it is a very good idea! You always have detailed, useful, well thought out info, that I would would refer to it as a FAQ source for Cathe-info, STS, cardio and weight training, and nutrition! :)

I like your ideas for your blog.

I didn't think I would get involved with it (blogging), but I decided to do a first-time marathon journal and posted my first entry yesterday. I figured it probably wouldn't be interesting to the general public, so I set mine so that it is viewable to those on my contact list. ETA: Duh...Meant to say that you could do that if you are concerned about posting in view of the entire web.

Kathryn,

Your knowledge is very wanted and welcome around here. I would love to see these things in your blog. Looking forward to your information. I'm very interested in the glute building rotation as well. Also many other subjects that you could provide. Nutrition, cats...

I would reaad your blog. I think the information you give is wonderful. I seek out your posts because you are such a wealth of information. Also I love your avatar. You are very pretty. I always wondered what you looked like.:)

Thanks! I like that photo too.

I just wonder how long I can get away with it? It's about 3 years old already, but I am oh-so-much NOT photogenic.

I found the secret was, instead of thinking "I hate getting my photo taken" was to imagine I was looking at one of my cats, and sending her good vibes. And thank goodness for digital cameras, because this was around my 6th try!

I suppose I should try a more recent photo sometime. Too bad I didn't take one when I was taking my relaxing soak the other day: with a green clay mask on my face, and hair full of Ojon conditioner, with a piece of hair sticking up, leaving me with a 'do reminiscent of Alfalfa from Our Gang. LOL!

I also vote for both cats and glutes! :D

(That's one of those sentences that looks really weird out of context.)

LOL!

How about cat glutes? (I'm not sure they really have them, but you know me, I'll be able to come up with a long dissertation on the subject anyway!).

I would love to view your blog. You have great info that I've found extremely helpful most especially your resources on nutrition. I'm so glad I know someone else who uses Ojon. I swear by the stuff, but my husband HATES the smell. Have you tried the newer shampoo. I love it, it makes my hair shiny and soft.

You guys could help me here: if you come across a post of mine that you think would make a good blog entry (as-is or with some modifications) let me know, with a link to it.

TIA!

(like if someone finds that old glute-building routine one!),
