Blisters/Calluses from working out

Hi! I have a problem and am hoping someone can give me a little insight. For a very long time I have had 2 large thick calluses on the side of my big toe and right on the ball. This is on my right foot only. My left foot is always fine. I buy very good shoes and I really don't think that is the problem. I have a lot of friction when I do longer Step tapes, like, RS or SB. Recently, I have been putting band-aids and those moleskin pads over my calluses and I also bought inserts for the ball of my foot to prevent friction. So far this has worked pretty well and my calluses are slowy shrinking. I guess my question is, is there something I may be missing? Or a cheaper and less time consuming method than what I am doing? No matter what type of crosstrainers I get, this still occurs. Thanks for any input!:)

Just guessing, but with most people, their right foot is a tiny bit larger, so it may be too tight where your left foot is fine. Or, you may have a slight asymmetry in your legs which might make you pronate that foot a bit, or maybe from an injury.

When I develop calluses I rub my feet several days after my shower with a pumice stone, and then while they're wet, I rub olive oil into my whole foot. They are always soft and smoothe and never crack.

If Nancy234 reads this, she'll roll her eyes for sure, but olive oil is my friend!
