RE: Bliss

Hello girls! Very funny replies I have to say. Well I started a thread on this same topic awhile ago (probably December 03 or January 04) and I got a reply from a Catheite that actually works at Bliss Spa in NY. Back then the shoes were $199 now they're $234?! Wow! Well I thought they were going to get cheaper if they got popular, but that didn't happen. These shoes are very popular with European athletes that use the shoes to do walking workouts or running workouts, the sandals for casual wear, and the more "dressy" shoes for work. Bliss only sells the workout shoes, but the Masai company in Europe and the US website both sell the sandals and the "dressy" shoes. What is so unique about these really expensive shoes?! Well they simulate walking on sand. When you buy them a training video comes with the shoes and you have to retrain yourself on how to walk. In Europe they have trainers that come to your home and teach you how to walk, in addition to the video. If you've ever walked on the beach or tried to run a couple of miles on sand you might know how different it is than running on pavement or a treadmill. I still think they are really expensive that's why I didn't spend the money and another thing to take into account is how often you have to replace those. I know I have to replace my shoes often and $234 every couple of months is ridiculous to me. I heard you have to replace them every 1 or 2 years but I don't know if that's actually true. Another thing that I don't know is if the cellulite claims are true. A great reduction is possible because when you run or walk on sand you really notice an improvement on those dreaded cellulite deposits, but to get rid of cellulite completely...I don't know about that. Some of us are not that lucky to live near a beach so here's an idea...let's make Cathe buy an island and we all move there and run everyday on sand so we do the real thing and don't have to spend $234 on the shoes! ;)
