Black Club Step Question

I just got my new Club Step today! Which I'm pretty excited about.

But on the top surface, I noticed there are 2 grooves going vertically down the step. Is that normal? They're like indentations from the groove underneath the Step where the risers fit into .

Just wondering if it's supposed to be like that or if it's a defect?

Chris, I got mine today and it has 2 grooves down the length of the step. Did you happen to find out if this is a defect? If not, I'll ask customer service. Thanks.

I ended up contacting the STEP company that amazon gets the step from (they directed me to them when I inquired about it). The Step company assured me is was normal and said it wouldn't wear any differently or make any difference in using the step. I've actually used it , and it seems to be fine for me.

A friend in a check-in also said her step has the same grooves.

So I'm good with it!

Chris, I just got a club step back in December. I've had my Reebok step since 1993! (It won't wear out!). But I really wanted the step and slanted raisers to use with STS (and my high step of course!). Anyway, it is a lot bigger than the Reebok, but I'm used to it now!

Jo..that's funny about your Reebok Step! I've had mine since around 1990! It is VERY durable. I hope this one is the same!! It just seems monstrous compared to the Reebok. And it's also harder to move around, but I do like it for what I've done so far. Going to do my first STEP (HIS) workout today!

Chris - I changed from Step Reebok to Club Step a couple of years ago. I got used to it pretty quickly and I love it. I actually think there is a bit of "give" in the Club Step, that there definitely wasn't with the Step Reebok.
