Birthday Present for a 13 year old girl

My Ex's daughter is turning 13 and I am trying to think of something nice for her birthday. I already have a nice picture for her of the two of us (in a frame) and a second set of teenage skin care products that she uses at his house (that I am giving her to use at her mom's house). She doesn't "need" anything and still has some gift cards and money left over from christmas!

She has an Ipod and cell phone at her mom's, not to mention everything else under the sun. She just got a TV for her bedroom at her dad's and together, they have two game systems and a million video games. She doesn't need clothes, winter gear, jewelry. We did her room over (comforter, etc.) for her about a year ago. I'd even get her a "boring gift" if I could think of something that was functional!

Help! What do young girls like these days?

i am at alost here b/c the times they are a changing from when i was 13.my first guess would be gift certificates but i guess she has enough or you can get gift certificates for the movies. maybe enough to take a friend or two and get some treats to see whatever movies these young'ins like these days.

Would she like to go get her hair done at a fancy salon? That's what DD wanted for Christmas. She's 15 though. She also has a Hello Kitty collection. Go figure.

We recently went to Glamour Shots and that was a lot of fun for her but her Aunt does her hair and her mother would blow a gasket if anyone else did. ;(

I had to laugh at your post though b/c her little girlfriend came here last year at her 12th brithday to sleepover (with 5 girls) and she had a cell phone, coach bag and designer clothing yet she wanted her mom to stay by the phone in case she was too scared to sleep over...go figure....

My 14-year-old loves pedicures -- and a spa visit would be something fun the two of you could do together!

Christine Im sure you 13 year old girl already has the Itune software which you have to download to get music for you Ipod so she would just do it from there. Does this make sense. I have Itune and MusicMatch. The Music Match is for my dell and the Itune is for my son's Ipod. HTH:;)

Edit to say let me know If I can explain better if you don't understand or maybe someone else can.

My 12 going on 13 would love a pedicure or manicure. She is also into art, and loves new pencils, sketch books, writing tablets(she writes stories and illustrates them). So if she has some sort of hobby she focuses on, you could do something like that to make it specia..

When my niece turns 14 in a few months I'm getting her a desk lamp. They have so many neat study lamps at lighting stores for $30-40.
