Bikini Boot Camp by Jeanette: yikes

And ouch and OMG. Hated the title (all I could think was gag, oh so perky) but I watched the clip. And the reviews were great.

So let me say: Jeanette could be one the Navi warriors on Pandora. She is fierce. And gorgeous and strong and dynamic and motivating. The cardio is H-A-R-D for the first 30 minutes. Then the 28 minutes of weights are no picnic - dynamic moves working upper and lower - think lunges with curls, side lunges into overheads press, tricep extensions with leg lift to the back . I really feel worked. I skipped the abs since I did a good deal of that this week. I also loved that she actually didn't talk the whole time and did the work.

If you are a circuit fan, and advanced exerciser, get this DVD. I have been on this upper body one day, lower body another day, circuit for full body another (with intense cardio and Exhale Core workout mixed in) and feel really good about the mix. Jeanette is staying in the rotation.

Take care all.

I have all of Jeanette's and I have to agree that this is a good one....even with the cheesy beach ball background.

Hi Julie,

You've piqued my interest in this DVD. I'm hurting from Pyramid Upper on Monday and B&G today. I was totally thinking of a total body circuit. I'm gonna check out the reviews. It's soo much fun with all of these suggestions for new DVD's- especially now that I no longer feel like I'm cheating on Cathe! :p

Just wanted to add since the weight work is only 30 minutes, it's a good one to add on either some power yoga or kettlebells to make an hour workout....or simply do the entire DVD for a bit of cardio & weights.
