Hello everyone,

Just a glorious day in the SF bay area today. I have the windows open to let in some fresh air while doing all manner of house work. The cats are shedding and it seems like there is just hair EVERYWHERE!!!!

I substituted IMAX 1 or 2 with Mindy Mylrea's Awesome Intervals. Overall I like the workout. It's definitely no IMAX and it does do a good job of getting the heart rate up. The cueing in a couple of places, particularly the warm up, was just atrocious! It even had the background exercisers going 'huh?'. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Sounds like everyone had a crazy week! Hopefully things are calming down and you are able to enjoy your weekend. I'm having a good one so far (and yesterday I got a bunch of new-to-me stuff from trades and sales, woo hoo!!).

Take care all,

Hello everyone,

I'm back from my trip. It was great to meet Pinky! We had a really good visit. I'm so glad it worked out.

Brenda, I got your email with the article about appreciating your kids. Thank you! I actually haven't read it yet. I'm going to wait until I have some time to myself, in case I cry also!

I'm still coughing a lot, so I went back to the doctor today. I had suspected that it was now my asthma really kicking in, and it was. I'll be on prednisone the next 10 days... I will probably do something really light today, like the Winsor Bun and Thigh Sculpting, and maybe an ab workout. On Monday it will be three weeks since I did weights; it's now two weeks since I did cardio. This is the longest break I've taken since I started working out four years ago. I know I needed to do it, but I'm concerned as to what shape I'll be in when I get back to it. I think my first real weight workout will be the Wedding Tape. Depending on how I feel tomorrow, I may try to do it then.

We got the results back from Michael's CT scan. Since I was in TX, I didn't get to talk to the doctor, but he has mucosal thickening and a deviated septum. I don't know what it means to have mucosal thickening, but he's been put on antibiotics, so it must mean he has a sinus infection, which is what she was looking for by doing the scan. We're supposed to go see an ENT now.

I hope that everyone is well. Talk to you later.

Hi Everyone,
It is a nice day here as well. Not a window opener but I could run with a short sleeve shirt on and a fleece over it:) By the time I was finished I was getting cold though. The sun had went in.
Last night wasn't a late night. We were home by 12:30.I didn't have that many drinks but when I woke up it felt like I had drank the bar dry.I dug into the house work as soon as I got up.I really haven't stopped much today and I am hoping to have a nap before we go out again tonight.Tonight will be a alcohol free night.I want to be able to start BFL fresh tomorrow.
I went for a run today and we did about 17-18 kms.We were gone for 90 min.We left at 2:40 and were back by 4.Thats a pretty good pace.We were doing around 5 min/ 1kms.I can remember when I first started and I thought 7 min for 1 kms was great. That was a few years ago.The run wiped me out though.I was daring and thought that we should go for longer. We are suppose to get more snow tomorrow and we may not get outdoors for a while.I can't wait for summer.
Anyway,thats about it for me.
I will check back later,
Lori:)

Hi everybody, it's a nice day down here in DFW as well. I just finished doing some house cleaning and I'm pooped!

Sabine, I viewed Mindy Mylrea's Awesome Intervals on collage video. It looked pretty difficult.

Lisa, I'm glad you're back home safe and sound. I really enjoyed our visit.:) I hope you and Michael feel better soon. BTW, my son LOVED your Maine crab. He sleeps with it now, after having introduced it to his beloved stuffed animals, Milton the moose and Froggy the bullfrog.

Lori, I wish I had as much energy as you these days. I've been dragging recently, not totally myself.

I woke up this morning with a nice soreness in my butt and outer thighs from yesterday's floorwork for legs with light weights. I did my first cardio workout in a WEEK -- Step Blast, because that's what I felt like doing. I was finally able to use my 4" step again, but I kept my moves low. Funny, but the challenge felt harder than the blasts now that I no longer do those jumps and jacks. Finished off with the core work from Bootcamp (Yay! I finally found some use for it!), and the ab work from SJP and KPC.

I'll check in again tomorrow. Have a good weekend, everybody.

Hey everyone!

I have been so busy this week - interviewing real estate agents, starting to box up stuff, and lots of yard work. I have been doing pretty good on keeping up with my workouts - I took a "rest" day yesterday, so today I did MIS, and tomorrow I'm doing Imax 2.
My upper body is fried after this week of lifting and raking...I'm actually looking forward to concentrating on legs next week. Sabine, I think I'm going to like this rotation!

Hope everyone is well and has a great weekend.
Tracy

Hello all,

It's Sunday noon, and I'm feeling better. Yesterday, I did the Winsor 20 minute ab sculpting workout, the bonus abs from Lotte Berk Hip Hugger Abs, and the Winsor Bun&Thigh workout. I think I'm going to do yet more Pilates later this afternoon; I'm going to try the Stott Advanced video. First, I have to take Nicholas to get new shoes!

One thing I thought of saying yesterday, but didn't, I've decided to say now. Pinky you looked great when I saw you! I know you were wearing a sweater and jeans, but it looks like the months of working out are really paying off.

Now, I have a dilemma. In the time I've been doing just Pilates, my thighs have actually slimmed down some, and I think my abs are flatter! I have a dress I bought 16 or 17 years ago, that I've been trying to get back into. It's kind of a classic shirt dress style, but it's very fitted at the waist and around the abs and hips. The last week I worked out with Cathe, I tried it on with pantyhose, and it was almost where I could wear it again. I tried it on this morning, without the hose, and it fits at least as well. What to do! I know I have to put cardio and weights back into my routine, but I'm going to have to give this some serious thought.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well today. Tracy, try to fit those workouts in whenever you can. I know it will help with the stress of moving!

HI Everyone,
Well, so much for the nice weather yesterday. We have another pile of snow today. It as been snowing since I got up at 9.The snow is 1/2 way up the back door. Its crazy.YOu guys have no ides how much snow we have.I feel like I am at the north pole.
I started BFL today although boredom as made me pick a little.
I didn't get up until 9 and I didn't eat my first meal until 11.Then I had my second at 3.I have a chicken put in the oven for dinner.
I did PUB today, and a 20 min interval run.I always run (on my treadmill) while playing a handheld game.I got in the tub yesterday after my run and I was playing th game in there.Well,I dropt it in the tub and now it won't work.I was so broed when I ran today, even though it was only 20 min.
I may do another quick run tonight,we will see.
Lori

Good afternoon everyone,

Lori, I can't believe it's snowing where you are. It's bright and sunny down here, and all I can think about is spring.:)

Tracy, you have a big move ahead of you, don't you? I hope exercise gives you some relief from all that stress.

Lisa, thanks for the compliment. Right back atcha!:) You are actually slimmer and trimmer than I pictured you. If Pilates is working for you, then keep doing it until you feel you need a change in your routine.

Today was CTX-UB split and abs from All Step and Leaner Legs. I am fried!

After my step workout yesterday, I was amazed to wake up to knees that weren't sore. Looks like pure floorwork is working well for me. I'd like to increase my cardio to three times a week. I've only been doing one a week the last two weeks. Since this week is leg week, I'm thinking of doing kickboxing for my leg workouts. This way I can do cardio and leg work in one session, and finally get to sample those Billy Blanks DVD's I've shelved for so long.
