Bikini Body check in 3/5

Good Morning everyone,

The check in has been kind of empty the past few days. Hopefully that means that everyone is out having fun and enjoying great weather and is not bein bogged down with gross, icky things!

Today I did MIS. What a difference from the last time. The last time I did this workout I was dying!!! I had to drop the weight constantly and had a VERY difficult time doing all the reps and sets. This time was much better. I did start my weight lower on some exercises because I'm not at the point where I can do barbell french press with the 35# barbell (as an example). So I was not nearly as discouraged as last time and had fun (again). Upon thinking about it, I think that this might be Cathe's hardest endurance type workout if you use the same weight she is using (not so much for legs, but for upper body, heck ya!).

Tomorrow is supposed to be an Imax. I may switch and do Mindy's Awesome Intervals (a virgin I got in a trade a few weeks back) or a hi/lo workout. Andrea L. was kind enough to loan me her copy of CIA 9905 for a few weeks so I feel like I need to take full advantage of it!

Would love to hear from everyone and hear how you're doing!

Hi sabine;

Yesterday was a full day for me and was not able to get on here long enough to post.
My oldest who will be 14 this July had to register for HS ...OMG
My baby! Anyway my hubby and I were at the HS and helping her figure out what classes to take. It seemed alot like registering for college courses Sheesh! Plus now the kids have a choice of 4 different HS dipolmas to chose from. When I was in HS we all just got a diploma now it's up to what classes you take. WOW things sure have changed since I was in HS LOL

Okay I got my Troy Lite bar yesterday ...fitness 1st will be 1st with me when I need some type of fitness item...they are fast; just 2 days from order to delivery .

I did Step Blast yesterday in it's entirity including the blast ...it was tons of fun.

This morning I did SuperSets and used my Troy bar I love how it feels in my hands ...not heavy or bulky feeling like the Firm's padded barbell. My quick release clamps were sliding a bit so I may need to fish out my old springtype clamps ...we'll see.

I've noticed not many postings for this thread this week also . I do hope this thread doesn't fizzle out as it's the only one I use to checkin with. Maybe everyone is out enjoying the great spring like weather. It is actually 77 degrees as I type this down...lovely!

Well I'll not be working out this weekend as I'm using both days as rest days. Date night again tonight plus we need to shop for a new printer as ours decided to crap out on us :(

Hi everyone-
its been a busy week and the weather is beautiful! Yesterday was MIC and an old Firm tape for abs/hips/thighs which wasn't bad (almost all floor work) and I did BodyMax this a.m. I forgot how hard that is. Shywolf, I really enjoy StepBlast, too, if you can have fun with any of Cathe's tapes. Once the steps are down pat it IS enjoyable- good job finishing it!

Sabine, I also agree that Cathe must have killer strength in her upper body. I have no problems going heavy w/lower body but my arms (especially biceps) are killing me after MIS.

Hope everyone has a good weekend - I'm planning to go heavy next week instead of this week. It seemed to take forever for my bulkiness to go away after heavy on Power Hour and I'm going out tomorrow and don't want to feel that way.

Hi Everyone,
I am finally getting just a few short minutes for myself.
Yesterday was pretty busy and I didn't get to workout.I had to pick of b-day gifts, drop them off, mail things,work.....you get the pitcure.Today was 9-5 job and now we are going out for a couple of drinks:) I hope they have the kind I like there! And that will probably be followed with some greasy food!
I managed to squeze in a little workout today.I did a 30 min run and 2 parts od BC.The runs I did were interval runs.I turned the dial up higher every minute and restarted after 5 min.
I didn't start the BFL eating yet b/c I knew the weekend was comming and we were going to be doing something.SO,I am starting the full program on Sunday. The workouts to.I think I may make the runs a little longer but the intensity will be there.
I just bought a mag yesterday(fitness RX) and there were a few articles in there saying that hard workouts were the best ones for burning fat. So,I guess when we workout we should be giving it our all if we want to burn fat.I know that there are days when I workout and I am just going through the motions.I am thinking about something else while I am stepping or doing weights.
Anyway, thats about it for me.I will check in tomorrow.I am off all weekend:)
Lori:)

Hello everyone,

Sabine, I'm kinda envious that you have IMAX 2 planned for tomorrow.:) It's one of those things I have to stop doing for a while. 35 lbs. for BB french presses is also still a dream for me. The most I can go for those is 25 lbs., and even then, it's hard.:)

ShyWolf, have fun with your Troy Lite bar. Fitness1st is a great place to order from. They do ship fast.

Brenda, it usually takes about a week for me to see the "pump" go away. A week after I stopped doing weighted standing leg work, my thighs shrank. I'm not too sad about it because the slack in my jeans does feel good, but I still worry about losing all the strength I've gained in my legs.

Yesterday I did Yoga Zone's Evening Stress Release (both workouts) and really loosened my back that S&H back tightened up more than usual. This morning I did an old Firm tape (Firm Parts) that was reminiscent of the Flashdance era.:) It was all floorwork and even with 2-lb. ankle weights, I barely felt the 30-minute workout. I finished it off with L&G, ankle weight segment only. This time I upped the weight of my ankle weights to 3 lbs. There was a nice mild burn in my legs and butt afterwards. And you know what? My knees didn't ail me at all. Yay!

I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow. Maybe CTX-UB split. I AM sure that I'll be working out over the weekend, so I'll be checking in. Hope all of you will, too.
