Good MOrning Everyone,
Another early morning check-in! Im sitting here eating my bowl of oatmeal before I head to work.It is 6:37 here.I get off at 11 so I will be doing PUB then and maybe cardio tonight when I get off of work (again)This is my long day where I work both jobs.
Eating went really well until last night.I wasn't hungry for dinner on my break so I just had a bowl of oatmeal and went back to work.By the time I got off(4 hours later) I was very hungry.I ate just about anything I could find. And I am really hungry now to.I normally don't eat before I go to this job but at around 9:30 I will go over to the restaurant and get some toast. So,I am eating oatmeal at 6:40. I knows that it isn't a really bad thing but i think I am going to be hungry again at 9:30 and I will still want my toast. Not a big deal...as long as I make smart descisions today I should be o.k.
Anyway,off I go,I will check back later.Have a good day everyone!
Lori:)

Hi Lori- hope your work day goes well:)
You have a good atttitude about eating healthy; your going to do fine.
Today I did PLB (stability ball only) before taking kids to school. I then looked over Cathe's reply to my post about KPC and hip tightness. Her recommendation of more flexability trainning is helping me to change todays plan. I will do Karen Voights Yoga Sculpt & pilates mat work. I had planned to do upper body also. So if time permits I'll add a short upper body premix. If not tomorrow it will be added to the mix.

Good morning everyone! Last night I'd planned on going to kickboxing at the gym but the regular instructor wasn't there and the lady that was filling in isn't as motivating or hard as the regular teacher. I am so picky about my instructors it's terrible. So anyway I ended up doing Step even though I'd already did it on Monday - but this teacher takes things a little faster than the one who teaches it on Monday and so WOW!!! did I work my butt off (I wish that were true). Did good on the eating. Tonight is the Body Bar class (looking forward to it). I think I finally found what helps me stay on my eating program - my snacks are fruit (oranges, apples, grapes) they seem to satisfy my snack needs and also my urge to have something sweet. Doesn't it seem like the longer we stay on track each day gets a little easier? Gotta go, should probably do something here at work.
Have a great day.
Kim:) :) :)

Hi everyone,

Kim, welcome to the thread. Hi, Judy. It's great to see you're here to stay.:)

Haven't been here in the last two days. My boy was sick, so everything else had to be shelved. I wasn't able to work out Tuesday, but I was able to pull off PH-upper body while my son was napped yesterday. Today will be KPC. This way I can do legs and cardio in one session.

Last Monday I tried Billy Blanks' Energy from his 2004 series. It was in drill format and was good enough for beginners or for those like me with knee problems, although I wish he'd work on his uneven sets/counting. It didn't leave me feeling as worked out as KPC or CTX Kickbox, but it was good enough for a day when I wasn't feeling my best. He gives really good form pointers though, and I love how encouraging he is.

Ever since I've tweaked my lower body routines due to my knees, I haven't been able to put in as much cardio as I like because I can't do step aerobics as often anymore. So the belly flab that I'd worked off in January is slowly creeping back, and to top that, my eating has been bad. I just don't feel so motivated to stay in top form these days. It's like all that energy I used to have is gone and it takes a lot of willpower to get it together. Anyway, I hope this is just a phase and I can do better once it's over.:)

Have a great workout, everyone.

Pinky

He everyone~

I only got to do a little upper body on my own yesterday but today it looks like floor work from MIC and Power Hour.

Lori, did you really do 50 lbs for squats? You're a machine! I've been doing 40 and realized I need to get a pad for my bar because I'm afaid I'm going to bruise my upper shoulders.

I agree Kim, once you're on track nutritionally its easy to keep it up. My only problem is when I go off track I go WAY off which is when the pizza and chocolate come into play.

Tracy, so sorry about the p.i. That totally stinks... hope its getting better. Do you usually get it this badly? When is the actual move day?

Lisa, how about the snow? I was so sad to see it but at least its sunny today. I'm ready for spring to come in full force around here and the cherry blossoms will be out soon.

Judy, is it you who is going away w/your DH? (I can't remember for sure) Where are you going? How exciting w/out the kids!

Pinky, sorry your son was sick- hope he's starting to feel better.

Hey Sabine, I agree, I think the workout rotation is working... I've been watching what I eat closely and am feeling pretty good so far. We're going to Vegas in May so I'm going to have to keep up the bikini attitude~ I'm planning on spending a lot of time by the pool w/people bringing me drinks!

Hellos to Joy, Elizabeth, Shywolf. Hope I didn't forget anyone- the group is getting big!

Have a good workout everyone~

Brenda

Good afternoon everyone. I did KPC today and it just wiped me out!! I think that is one of the hardest workouts - by the end my legs were jello! Brenda- it sounds like we are having the same reaction to this rotation - I have been eating good and I swear I feel toned up already - my jeans feel looser - yippee!!!

Pinky- I feel for you right now. It's so hard when life sidetracks us- especially things we have no control over like illnesses. I have been where you are right now. It's my belief that this "thing" that we are all after, the quest for fitness and health, is more than anything else a mental challenge. Maintaining the discipline to workout and eat right can be soooo difficult. I definitely go through ups and downs in my workout/healthy eating life.

Lorihart- you continue to awe and inspire me with the intensity and length of your workouts.

Judy- I also need to add in some flexibilty training into my schedule. It is one area that I definitely neglect.

Hellos to Joy, Shywolf, Sabine, Kim and anyone else (I'm sure I overlooked someone!)

Back to packing boxes!
Tracy

Hi Guys;
Well today I got so involved in shopping for wax, wicks and other candle stuff that time got away from me .
I plan on doubling up tomorrow with SJP & premix of IMAX2 intervals 6-10, to make up for today's 'rest day' LOL

Anyways it sounds like some got in good workouts today; hellos to everyone and I agree that the group is getting some new folks...which is fantastic.

Have an awesome day ladies:)

Hey Brenda it is me who is going on a little Carribean Vacation with my husband of 20 years. We leave on Monday. yahoo :)

Hi everyone,

I'm checking in late today. Had an early start at the elementary school. By the time I came home I was tired so I decided to lie down just for a few minutes to 'rest' my eyes. OOPS!!!! Totally fell asleep for about an hour! Yikes!

Anyway, this morning tried a workout that AndreaL was kind enough to lend me, CIA 9905 Two Workouts with a Vengenance, the hi/lo workout. Boy, Franny really kicked it up a notch with this one. The sweat was flying and some of the kickbox/power squat moves were particularly brutal since this is also the 'lower body emphasis' week of the rotation. So needless to say, I'm sore. I'm hoping I'll be unsore enough tomorrow to do PS Legs and Abs, and then CardioKicks on Saturday or Sunday. I'll be so glad when upper body rolls around again for next week (just like I was glad to have lower body come around when my arms turned to mush by the end of last week).

It's funny that you mentioned stretching Judy. I've been hitting the workouts pretty hard (6X/week) for months now and have been neglecting my yoga and pilates in favor of harder weight workouts. I'm thinking of a rotation for next month that has 3 cardio days, 2 weight days, and 1 yoga/pilates/stretch day. If I make one up, I'll post it if you want to take a look. Have fun in the Carribean! Have something with rum and get some sun for me!

Pinky- sorry to hear that your son is ill. Hopefully he is doing better and is on the mend. Also sorry that you are a bit in the dumps right now. I personally have found you such a wonderful person in our check in with sharing and offering encouragement. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to return the favor!

Hellos to Joy, Brenda, Lorihart, Lorisax, Tracy, Lisa, Kim, Shywolf and Elizabeth!
