Good morning all! Have you ever heard the expression "when it rains, it pours"? Well, it is pouring here in Annapolis. As many of you know, we are getting ready to move, which means starting to sort through and pack junk (and with 3 kids and hubby, that's a lot of junk!), interviewing realtors, sprucing up the house to put on the market, etc. Well, while doing my power raking last week, I got poison ivy on my arms and face (oh so very pretty!). Well, now the poison ivy is infected and I am on antibiotics as well as steroids. One of the side effects of the steroids is insomnia, which explains why I am writing this so early! I have been up for several hours now, and have been packing boxes (I am trying to see the positive in all of this - just think how much work I can get done if I don't sleep for a week!)
So anyways, I didn't workout yesterday because of doctor appts., etc, so today since I have so much extra time I am going to do Power Hour and Rhythmic Step. I will probably do PH this morning before the crew wakes up.

I hope everyone has a lovely day. I'll check back later to see how everyone's doing.
Tracy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!:) :) :) ,
Im glad to see the thread started so ealry today.Gives us all day to chat about stuff!
I didn't get around to checking in againlast night.Oh,who am I kinding.I just didn't want to walk downstairs again.DH was hogging the computer when I was downstairs, so I didn't bother.
I had bit of a lazy afternoon yesterday.I tried to take 2 naps but both were but really short.Like...10 mins. Both were interupted.
I did PLB in the afternoon and I am so sore today.I could feel how sore I was when I was lying in bed (not moving:eek: ).I went heavy with my weights, and I didn't really feel it at the time.It was harder getting the weights up on my shoulders then it was actually squating it.I used 35,45,and 50.Plus however much my barbell weighs.B/C of this,I couldn't do cardio after.I was just to fried.I waited until after dinner and boy did I have to fight with myself.I was lazy and I didn't want to do it.So,I promised myself that if after 30 mins I didn't want to do anymore, then I didn't have to.
It felt great once I got go'in.I did 35 min at a comfortable pace, then I did 25 min of interval running.I probably could have went longer but I wanted to get off and watch american idol.
Today is IMAX 2 (intervals 6-10) and a 30 min run.
Tracy-I hate moving. Before we bought our house, we lived in 3 basement apartments. So,I have moved 4 times in 7 years.I lived at each place for a while though.Nobody was kicking me out or anything!:7 And I can't beleive that you are raking your lawn! I relly gotta move.I said to DH last night, I hope the deck isn't going to break. Its a new one we built last year .I am hoping that there is as much snow in under it as what there is on top of it.B/C if there isn't it as to be broke in two.I cannot wait for summer. But it isn't comming yet.We are getting another storm this week!
Judy-S,J&P is my favorite workout from the new series.I have done that one the most.It isn't super tough but its nice.
Anyway,I should go,check out some more posting and get ready to workout!
HAve a good day everyone,
Lori:)

Hi Lori & Tracy

Today as I'm sitting at the 'puter enjoying my coffee I'm thinking "what should I do for a workout?" (No rotation this week) So far this week it has been BC and SJP premix, (2 circuit days).
I could either do an upper body/floor-lower body mishmosh or cardio. Cardio seems more logical.

Rhythmic Step will fit the bill. And it has been a while long since visiting that one.

Next week my husband and I are off to an alone vacation (no kids). I'm trying to lay off the bike and treadmill since that is what we'll be choosing to do. The last two weeks have been purposely intense workouts in preparation for a lighter week.

Good Morning!!!
I look forward to getting on here and seeing how everyone is doing and writing this every morning. Tracy - I feel for you with the poison ivy. I had it for the first time 2years ago all over my arms and legs and how I didn't get it on my face amazes me. The doctor put me on prednisone and I'd never taken it before. I'm an anxious and hiper person to begin with and that stuff about drove me crazy. I ended up taking a prescription strength antihistamine. I got it in July and it didn't clear up until the end of August. Needless to say my husband does all the yard work now.
I had a great workout last night at the gym. I took the Body Bar Blast class (mainly strength with circuits of cardio). I used my heavy bar for the majority of the class - which really suprised me. I hope you guys don't hate me because I workout at the gym instead of doing my Cathe workouts. I tried the home exercise plan for many years and even though I LOVE the Cathe workouts I don't really have the space or self motivation to do it at home. Anyway, tonights plan is Kickboxing - looking forward to it (I think :) ). It is going to be nice here today - a high of 57. I am so looking forward to spring and summer. I'm starting to see some definition in my arms since taking that body bar class at the gym. Food was OK yesterday. I'm on weight watchers and I only used 4 of my flexpoints (I get 35 extra points for the week). I'm going to my meeting today for some motivation. I'm really frustrated because I can't seem to get under 140 (but I haven't been an angel with my diet either). I know that with doing the strength class I'm going to build muscle and that will make me weigh more so is it realistic for me to want a weight of 128? I'm 5ft and 30 yrs young. :) :) Anyway, gotta go and maybe do some work - going to be another slow day.

Kim

Hi Ladies,
Just check'in in with my workout.I did what I said I was gonna do and I did Kari Andersons abs.OH MY....my quads, hamstrings, bum and even my calves are sore.It seems like it is getting worse.I have to make sure I drink enough water today, try and flush some of this acid out of my system. But if I had did PLB yesterday and wasn't sore today then I would be complaining about that to.Can't please me! Some of the moves in IMax were really hurting me,like the plie jacks, and even the knees around the world! I couldn't go as low as what I mornally would.
Kim- Good lUck with your weight loss.I am always whining about myself. You better get use to it.I have days when I think I look like the michalin tire man (i don't think I spelled that right:) ) and then there are days when I think...why do I give myself such a hard time,I look pretty good.I think it is just part of being a women. And we don't hate you b/c you workout at a gym. Some of those classes you have been taking sound very interesting.
Judy- Have a good trip with your DH.I can't wait for us to go somewhere again. We went away for valentines for the weekend.I just find that life(for both of us) is so busy.He is constantly at meetings or he has work that needs to be done. But then again,he takes time off when he wants to do something...but then you have to catch up at some point don't you? Yesterday he went on snowmoblie all afternoon so last night he was trying to catch up on things.,...I was at the top of the stairs singing "all by myself...don't wanna be, all by myself". About 5 mins later,he came up.
Anyway,I should go get ready for work. And get some lunch ready.
Lori:)

Hey everyone,

Just a quick check-in. I didn't work out today.

Tracy, that's funny that you had pouring rain in Annapolis. We had a hour or so of snow in Laurel (for everyone else, Annapolis and Laurel are only about 30 or so miles apart). It didn't stick though. I'm on predisone also right now, for asthma. Amazingly I've been able to sleep. I think I'm just worn out.

Lorihart, which Kari Anderson abs did you do? Was it a set from one of her other workouts, or do you have her Curl video?

I hope everyone's doing well. Talk to you all this weekend.

Hi everyone,

Yikes, yesterday was a long day. Worked at my computer until 12:30, then had to head out to one of the middle schools to do some 6th grade presentations. Then it was back to the office for a brief meeting, then downtown to meet with my faculty adviser (I'm getting a credential to help with job security). Then a quick stop at home to freshen up and feed the fur children. Then off to one of our elementary schools where I manned our programs booth for the science fair. To top it off the fabulous chocolate chip cookies I was hoping for yesterday were no where to be had. In fact, no dessert item was provided which I was pretty disappointed by. Spent the next 2 hours having both good and not so good interactions with parents (I got a tongue lashing by a parent who thought it was in poor taste to bring pamphlets geared toward kids about marijuana and other drugs to an elementary school function because it was too soon for kids to be exposed to this. PLEASE!!!!). Packed up and got home just after 9 pm. I'm beat today!

Did get up and do Power Hour this morning. Because I was so tired I went lighter on most exercises than Cathe and I was still quaking at some points. Overall, great workout with some room for improvement.

Tracy- so sorry to hear about the poison ivy. The exact same thing happened to me a couple of years back (but with poison oak since poison ivy is scarce in CA). It was on my leg and by the time I got to the doctor I looked like I had some weird flesh eating disease it was so bad. I had a scar for over a year from one particularly bad area. Hope that you aren't too uncomfortable and are on the mend fast!

Judy- have fun on your trip! Where are you going (if you don't mind my asking)? I have a trip with my sister scheduled for early June and I am counting down the days!

Lorihart- your 'I'm tired and lazy' days are still amazing to me. You're an animal!

Lisa- hope your cough is fading away and that you are feeling better. What pilates workouts are you doing?

Everyone else, big hellos and how are yous and look forward to reading everyone's posts!

Good afternoon ladies. I'm just stopping by for a quick hello. Did Power Hour this morning. I love that workout! My brain is kind of fuzzy due to lack of sleep and the drugs, so it felt weird doing my workout - I had to stop a take a lot of breaks.

Lisa- I meant that it was raining in a figurative sense (i.e. there's a lot of crap happening in my life right now) but it's funny that you got snow - we didn't get any, just a light drizzle.

I'm not sure if I'm going to squeeze RS in today or not, but tomorrow I'm planning to do KPC for my floor cardio.
Sabine - I swear I feel buffer already!!!

Have a great one everybody.
Tracy

Kim- The workout I did was curl.I have it on dvd.It is an awesome workout.
Sabine- I get tired and lazy but I manage to get my workouts done.I don't know where I find the energy when I feel like taking nap.
Lori

Hello everybody , just peekin in real quick as I'm making dinner.
I did Step Blast today but skipped the challenge portion because I was getting really short on time, had to go to an appt.
It was better then not working out at all and I know myself had I chosen to not workout.

Boy do I know the feeling of not being able to get online as I would like . One would think with 3 pcs online I would be able to use one when I could but if it's not my hubby on one it's the kids on the others. Oh well .

I cannot even remeber how many times we have moved. Being an active duty airforce family we have seen our share of packing and unpacking to a new home, city and / or state. All I can say is to try to get rid of the clutter before the move and minimise as much as you can. It's been about 7 months since moving here and I just started getting to where I can relax and decorate as I want let's not even mention how we are planning to landscape the front lawn.

Ooops gotta go before my food burns see y'all later :7
