HI everyone,
I was surprised to see that no one started this thread yet! It is 2:30 in the afternoon here.
I worked today at 7 in the morning but then I decided to take the rest of the day off b/c there wasn't much going on at work.
Today is PLB for me and cardio.I am not sure what cardio I will be doing.I am going to try and go really heavy with the weights in PLB.I have been searching everywhere for my measuring tape b/c I think my legs may have gotten smaller.
Im also pretty excited b/c I ordered the high step and extra risers last night.I am in canada so I am not sure how long it will take to get here but I can wait.I have waited this long. I have been using my daughters chair for leg presses, I am surprised that I haven't went right through the chair.Only a matter of time.Maybe todays the day:eek:

Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good day. Another gorgeous day here in the SF bay area. Actually looks like the whole week will be wonderful. Sorry, Lorihart, I hope you don't perceive my enthusiasm as boasting. I know you are still struggling with snow in your neck of the woods.

Today was step cardio so I did Christi Taylor's Still Steppin'. I just love Christi's workouts and her personality. Needless to say I had a great workout and a big smile on my face at the end. It's a nice way to start a very hectic day at work!

One of the parts of my day that will be hectic is tonight I am manning our program's booth at the annual district wide elementary science fair. This evening will be frought with temptation as the school site PTA is providing all vendors with dinner and dessert. Last year it was pizza, salad, and HUGE chocolate chip cookies! I had 3 cookies last year. While I'm secretly hoping that the cookies make a return appearance (they were really good) I'm hoping I have enough will power to exercise restraint and only have 1 (okay, maybe 2 but not 3!).

Hello ladies;

I've not had a chance to get here up until just a few moments ago.

Today was Push Pull along with Legs and Glutes ....great workouts and boy were my legs feeling like burned toast not just toasty ;)

I have not been modifying and I've been matching Cathe's weight work and my hubby keeps telling me to stop working out cause I'm losing my backside...well of course that just motivates me more to continue with what I'm doing because it's all coming together. My butt has gotten so tight and L&G will help more in that department.

I can finally say that with Cathe's Body Blasts my omph has picked up a notch or two.
I think next month I'll incorporate the intensitys and the body blasts just to see where it takes me.
Guess I'm still on my workout high:p

Anyway just wanted to checkin before I have to run but I'll see you all this evening if I can get to sit and the computer as once everyone gets home ..mommy has no pc time at all....meaning everyone else is using this machine.

I was going to start the thread but I wasn't sure if a certain person was suppossed to do it (I'm still new). so I guess I should say "Good Afternoon". If anyone read my post from yesterday you know that I had trouble staying out of the chicken salad (that I made - stupid me) this weekend. Well I'm so proud - I didn't eat a bit of it yesterday. Not even a little nibble before the health club. Yeah for me!!! So far so good on the food today. Tonight is Body Bar Blast at the gym - I always look forward to this class. I ate a banana before the class last night and it really helped with my energy level. Has anyone else had this experience? Lori I envy you I wish I could take off work today - very slow today for me too - but I'm probably going to have to take Friday off because we are getting new shower doors installed. FINALLY!!!

Hi everyone~

I'm catching up with the rotation and did Leaner Legs this a.m. but only worked with 30 lbs on the bar after doing 35-40 lbs last week and feeling really big. I added a short segment of biceps and triceps and am going to do Step Blast right now. The rest of the week's rotation looks really good!

Lori and Sabine, you're going to love the high step/risers. I broke down and bought it a few months ago and it really works nicely, a very good fitness investment.

Kim, I love anything with mayonaise in it- tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad- another one of my downfalls. Yes, I have found eating 1/2 an hour before a workout (usually natural peanut butter and fruit or egg whites) really help my energy along w/water. It also helps to look forward to the workout you're doing which it seemed you definately were!

Shywolf, that's a lot of working out! Have you found more of a difference with high cardio or heavy weights (or both)? I'm always curious to see how bodies react to these changes. I would LOVE my entire backside to go away but I'm not sure that will ever happen (God bless J-Lo).

Editied to add- Sabine, I had the best chocolate chip cookie last night- I started w/a sugar free frozen fruit pop to take care of my sugar craving and then my husband handed them to me (he gave up snacks for lent) - enjoy!!
 
Hey everyone!

It's been a crazy day. I only have a quick minute for a check-in. I did pilates again this morning. I know it's getting old, although I think it's doing good things for my legs and abs. The cough is getting better. If I'm lucky, maybe I be able to do some kind of Cathe workout this weekend.

Joy, was it you who was waiting for Christi's Humble Beginnings DVD? I got mine today!

I hope you all are well. I probably won't check in again until this weekend, because of my trip to PA&NY. Happy exercising in the meantime!
 
Lori, Sabine, Shywolf, Kim & Brenda your workouts look great!

Today I did SJP: step and weights circuit. I didn't want to go over an hour since I had a tennis match at 10:00am. The workout was at 6:00am. I like the step/weights premix. It was kinda like Cardio & Weighs only more difficulty in the weights. I was challenged. plenty. Doing the whole video would have fried my energy before tennis! As it was our second set went 8-6! I'm guessing my heart rate was up there for a good portion of the match. Someday I'll have to wear a heart rate monitor during tennis, LOL

BTW I adore home made or bakery made chocholate chip cookies too!

Yes, Brenda I have found a little snack or breakfast before a an AM workout gives me energy. It is a delicate balance between a snack and a meal and waiting the right amount of time so as not to get indigestion!

Ps I love my morning coffe before a workout! But it doesn't always happen
